"I ordered a Canon Vixia HF200 on April 9, 2009. April 10 is good Friday holiday and the online store was closed. On Sunday April 12, 2009, I did receive a call from butterflyphoto and he tried to sell me extra battery, SD card and travel case. I said no to everything, of course. They did ship it out on Monday April 13, 2009. I received the camcorder on April 15, 2009, which is really fast consider they are shipping from NY to Texas. The camcorder come in okay. butterflyphoto was the first online store to drop $50 from $749.99 MSRP. I recommend this store.

"I have to say I was skeptical after reading some mixed reviews but I went ahead and ordered anyway. Item is a Canon 50d w/28-135 lens. Everything came as promised. Ordered 3/18 received 3/24. Make sure you call them back when they call or your order won't get shipped. I haven't had to do that for any other retailers. They of course tried to sell some accessories, but didn't give me any grief when I declined. Called back customer service with a couple of questions and got prompt courteous service.

"on the recommendation of my close friend i ordered 2 samsung 52" ln52a650a1fxza lcd tv's from steve clendennyat butterfly photo 1-800-339-9960x204. he was extemely helpful, professional and thorough. he beat everybody else's price by roughly $500.00 per tv. i paid $2250 per tv which included the extended 3yr warranty the tax and delivery, he even threw in 2 sets of hdmi cables. the tv's came a couple of days after i oredered them and the picture looks even better in my house than when i saw it in the store. next up hd dvd player, home theater system and the Wii. so i'm goin back to my man steve @ butterfly who cut thru the b.s. and gave me th e best products and services totally hassel-free. "I called in to place my order for a 52-inch Sony Bravia LCD TV and spoke with Steven who explained that by spending an extra $120 I could get "threshold delivery" service. This sounded like a good idea to me since the TV weighs about 100 pounds. Steven also said the service would include "expedited delivery" and be at my house in "3 days." Steven went on to explain that by purchasing the 3 year extended warranty for $300 that the expedited shipping/threshold delivery would be included. This all sounded like a good idea and it would have been if it had been true. After placing my order I followed up with Steven three days later to find out that the TV was drop shipping from another location and he couldn't guarantee the delivery time but he would get back to me. I waited the next day until about 5PM before calling him again. He finally had the shipping information and now it was scheduled for Monday of the following week, not by the end of the week as he had orginally promised. The delivery truck finally showed up today (Tuesday, March 3 - would have been here yesterday but we had snow) and the driver asked for my help to bring it inside. There is nothing on the Bill of Lading that indicates "threshold delivery" or any such thing. If I had left my wife to help the driver it would still be sitting in the street. Also, I don't know where they drop shipped from, but the box is coated in dirt to the point that the driver admitted it looked very dirtry. My recommendation would be to get everything in writing from this seller or any seller. Furthermore, spend the extra money and purchase large items like this from a local retailer. These people are just plain dishonest and misleading and in the end its not worth the money that you save."
"I called Sunday to place a last minute camcorder order with overnight shipping. The sales person was very upfront, saying it would be very difficult to get it shipped by Monday. I called customer service Monday morning and the extremely helpful lady got in touch with the shipping manager and arranged expedited drop shipping. The camcorder shipped Monday afternoon and was delivered today (Tuesday). The price was the lowest offered by a reputable seller and the quality of customer service was what all sellers should emulate. I definitely will be doing business with this company again."
"Today I had the distinct pleasure of first getting information, then calling back to place an order for a high-end DSLR with Steven at ButterflyPhoto in NJ. No pressure, no games, just good information, pleasant conversation and a sales rep doing what he could to make the sale. He answered every question fully, (example - the camera will ship from the OEM warehouse in California before the weekend, probably on Friday). I had talked to other well-known bona fide on-line resellers. They were OK. Dealing with Butterfly was in a completely different league; it was far and away the best telephone sales transaction I have ever participated in. I would recommend Butterfly, and Steven in particular without reservation. I would suggest you at least talk to them before finalizing a deal anywhere else. Their pricing, knowledge, and courtesy are unparalleled.
Update: May camera, a Nikon D700, arrived on Friday 2/27via UPS, several days before I expected it. I had ordered it a 5PM on 2/23. UPS auto-dialed my home phone the day delivery to advise they were delivering a package that required signature. I am delighted to say that everything about this transaction went absolutely perfectly.... definitely the best I have ever experienced. I would recommend without hesitation using ButterflyPhoto and Steven Clendenny (tel 1-***-***-****, X024). Steven actually has a personal voice mail message so he can be reached if he's not at his desk! I haven't seen that elsewhere on-line. I ordered the camera at 5PM on Monday; it was delivered to me by UPS at 4PM on Friday of the same week."
