"Ordered the Destinator SP for smartphone but they sent me the Destinator PN for Pocket PC. Received the product Monday and immediately filled up and sent a return request that morning for the error. I sent another email wednesday but still no response. Today is already thursday afternoon and still no response. Very frustrated about this. I ordered thru them in the past and this is my 5th order. Now, im still waiting for the RMA request to send back the wrong item and will request a full refund including the shipping. IM realy very frustrated and disappointed. Just lost me and some people i referred to as a customer . Will just order from Semsons.com. Very very poor communication and customer response.

Update: Now its friday and still no response from buygpsnow....i assume ill be getting a response next week and not this weekend or maybe they would not respond at all....this is becoming too irritating..."

I recently ordered a bundle of GPS maps for my new iPAQ. Unfortunately, they didn't make it clear that the maps are not compatible with the new iPAQ. (Of course, now that they've updated the page, they'll claim that it was clear from the beginning.)

I didn't ask for a refund - only an exchange for something that works with the iPAQ. Their response? Sorry, no returns and no exchanges. It didn't seem to matter to them that I told them I was in the hospital with pneumomia for over 2 weeks.

I'm pleased with about 98% of the purchases I make online, but BuyGPSNow is definitely an exception to that rule. They deserve to go out of business.

I got my 2 day shipment of TomTom Nav 5 software & Globalsat 338 receiver as the order was placed.

I did have a problem with the Tomtom Nav 5 software were it did not have the Application CD! What was worrisome is that I wanted to use the GPS solution on a very important trip in 5 days when I recieved the package!

I immediately emailed buyGPS.com about the problem. After 1 business day, they've adviced me that Tomtom had problems with shipment of their software packages. They've given me a link of the application software for download and I have install it asap - with 3 days to spare on my trip! The missing Tomtom application CD did arrived from Tomtom itself a few days after I reported this.

Downside - I wish buyGPSnow.com have a customer support telephone number that customers can call rather than just plain email.

"On their website, they offered Fedex Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day shipping to Alaska, but when I placed the order, only overnight shipping was available (although they will ship USPS, which is much cheaper, to APOs). I ended up having to pay for overnight shipping. When informed of this, they did change the terms on their website.

"I purchased a TomTom GPS for use with my Treo 650. The product was delivered on time but I had problems activating the unit. I got very little help from TomTom but BuyGPSnow.com responded to all my questions promptly - first by email and then on the telephone and made everything right. There service support is excellent. "Purchased a Haicom 305II from this company. After several weeks of backorder, the unit finally arrived. Upon installation, this unit did not function either correctly or as advertised when I tried to use it. I spent several hours trying different things and comparing performance to other units on 2 x50vs and an e740. Plus, the SD slot would not read on my Toshiba. An RMA was issued, and the unit returned. They received the unit on a Friday and on Wednesday of the next week I write asking them what is the status. They tell me that the unit is fine and I need to speak with Joe Kee and to call him long distance. I explained numerous times that I put another CF unit in the machine and everything is fine, and either replace it promptly or refund my purchase price as I'm already out shipping and insurance two ways. This has gone back and forth and I have since, in desperation, purchased a Haicom 303III from another company and it is working perfectly and exceeds the specifications. With 2 weeks since they received the RMA, and 5 weeks since placing the order I'm not sure what the issue is.

To be fair, the company provided a refund, so somewhat satisfied that this is resolved and have changed my review to reflect. I really would have preferred a replacement unit that worked like the borrowed Haicom unit I tried (and ended up buying). "
