"I purchased two GPS Receivers for PocketPC from BuyGPSNow.com recently.

This is by far one of the BEST online shopping experiences I have had (and I shop a *LOT* online). I asked BuyGPSNow.com lots of questions before and after placing this order, and their sales team not only patiently and professionally answered each and every question, but also did so very quickly ... including a mail I received from them late night on Friday (just goes to show their customer focused and committed nature).

"I had a problem with a product and buygpsnow was willing to work with me for a solution. The solution being ordering another item and returning the existing order.

I still have problems with their return policy. There is differences from the contact me, return request. To be fair, it is similar to their nearest competitor.

If you had a problem with one of the units which seem to have ghost/phantom problems... it may necessary to contact Joe Kee or someone since you don't want to be charged restocking fees. Other than that, I would buy from them again."

"Great products and amazingly cheap prices. I bought a Fortuna Slim GPS and a universal PDA mount. The shipping was fast and communication was great, was sent my tracking information quickly. I was extremely happy with both products, the mount came with a couple of nice extras. "I purchased a CF GPS receiver with Destinator 3 software from BuyGPSnow.com and a 1GB SD card. Not only were they cheaper but the presales service was excellent as they answered all of my questions. The delivery via FedEx was trackable and they delivered right on schedule.
I am most impressed with BuyGPSnow.com as they upgraded my Destinator 3 software to Destinator PN at no extra charge. This meant that I received European Major Roads within the software. The HAiCom CF reveiver works very well and I even get a GPS fix indoors.

"I have bought a GlobalSat BT 338 and an AVL 16 Channel BT GPS with upgraded windshield mount.

Was very happy that the seller agree to give me some discount by taking away the free software and free Arkon mount for the BT 338 since i do not need them (25.00 discount honored). The purchasing process was pretty smooth.

However, 2~3 days later (even before i received the items, still in shipping), i found that another company reduce their price for BT 338 to 154.99. BuyGPSNow price is 164.95. There is a price different of 9.96.

I was glad that BuyGPSNow have 14 days price gurantee statement, so i quickly write an email to them requesting for 9.96 dollar refund. I sent them the email last Thurday and untill now i still haven't got any reply from them. I am pretty upset and i sent them another mail today just in case they missed my previous mail. Hope to see their reply tomorrow.

Just to clarify that my purchase price is lower because the free arkon mount which worth 24.95 and the free software trial worth 14.95 were taken out(i got a discount of 25.00 in total). I hope they will honor me 9.96 dollars refund base on the different between 164.95 and 154.99.

I must admit that the shipping is smooth, email was very responsive (exclude my email request for refund) and the BT 338 i got from them work flawlessly (haven't tried the AVL GPS).


I got a response from them within 12 hours after i post my comments here. I realise that they delayed the reply on my email because they feel that they have already given me a very good price and i shouldn't be so demanding and request for further refund.

I do agree with them about this but i feel that they should have replied my email even thought they do not want to honor me the refund. Just give me a valid reason/explaination and i will accept that.

Eventually they replied me that they do not want to give me the refund because they already offered me a very good price and they felt that i was too demanding. They DEMAND me to send back everything to them and they will give me a full refund. I told them i couldn't do that because i need to use the GPS, and i might not be able to purchase a new one on time before i fly back to Singapore (i made my purchase in California, need to fly back to Singapore very soon).

The price for BT 338 dropped for another 5 bucks when we are discussing.
To end the conflict, i proposed this:
1. We cancel the special arrangement (25 dollars discount).
2. They honor me the price gurantee so my purchase price will become 149.95.
3. I pay the different between 139.95 and 149.95. 10 bucks different.
4. They send me the freebies that was taken out and they absorb the shipping cost.

They agreed with my suggestion and eventually we manage to end the deal peacefully. I received the stuffs within 2~3 days.


Overall i am pretty happy with their services. They do need to be more patient to their customers. I understand that every human being will have some temper, and in their point of view they have valid reasons to get angry on me. However, to further improve their services, they should calm down and try to negotiate a way out. Eventually they manage to change their attitude, so i am happy with that."
