"Outstanding after sales service! Usually one doesn't expect much after sales support from a web-based company, but BuyGPSnow.com went the whole hog for me and then went even further.
I purchased Destinator 3 from them in June (at an unbelievably low price), but it turned out to be incompatible with my hardware. Destinator support acknowledged verbally to me that they knew of this problem and that nothing could be done. Therefore, all I needed for my refund was for Destinator to put it in writing for BuyGPSnow, so that they could issue me with a refund. BuyGPSnow handled it all for me by emailing Destinator for their confirmation.
Days went by, weeks went by, but the folks at BuyGPSnow kept on my case by continually emailing Destinator, but still getting no reply.
Eventually after two months of silence from Destinator, BuyGPSnow simply said that they would honour a refund even without Destinator's cooperation. Now that's what I call good old-fashioned customer service that we just don't see enough of nowadays. If only every web-based retailer would operate in this way...

"This is my second time ordering from BuyGPSnow.com and both have been excellent. This time around I received the order a day earlier than expected. The items were a CF GPS, the CF slipper, and a vent mount. All came in as expected but the vent mount was loose. After a few emails, they are now going to send me a free swivel replacement.

"I can't say enough positive things about my experience with BuyGPSNow.com. I am an American living in the UK and working at a military base, so I have an APO address. It can be difficult to find companies who ship to APO addresses, but I was very glad to find that BuyGPSNow does, and charges very reasonable postage, at that. I got a Bluetooth GPS unit bundled with Destinator map software, and the package arrived very quickly (much more quickly, in fact, than the PDA I ordered from Dell at the same time). Everything was in good working order, and I was quite pleased with the number of extras included in the bundle.
Shortly after the package arrived, I noticed on their website that the price of my bundle had actually dropped by about $30. The price I paid was competitive, but I was a little disappointed by my timing. My wife noticed that BuyGPSNow offers a 14-day price guarantee. I sent them an email explaining what happened, and they immediately credited my credit card for the $30.
When I found a bug with the Destinator mapping software, they directed me to Destinator's tech support, and followed up to make sure I had heard back from Destinator. (Incidentally, I was extremely impressed with the response from Destinator; they immediately emailed me a software patch that fixed the problem).
Overall, I am very happy with BuyGPSNow. I chose them based on a friend's recommendation, and I would certainly recommend them to anyone else."

"I ordered a Seidio G2500 PDA mount. The order was very smooth and notification was also very good. The problem started when I received the product and it was DOA. Although the green light on the battery charger plug was lit, it would not light the green indicator on the front of the mount, thus it would not charge my pda or even allow the external speaker to function. As this was a birthday present, I attempted to contact their customer service department only to find out that I had no way of speaking to anyone to explain the situation and request another unit be sent ASAP. So, my only choice was to send an email which I did. In reading so many very satisfied customers and specifically with Joe Kee I certainly hope my issue is routed to him and I get this resolved in time to still make the birthday deadline. I will comment more later after it is resolved.
Here is the rest of the story:
After submitting my email request for support, I received a call back from Joe in about 4 hours. This is what Joe did to resolve the issue: First he listened to the problem I was having and determined it was the actual mount, and not the other accessories that came with the unit that had failed. Second, because he acknowledged that they were having quality problems with this Seidio mount (an I appreciated knowing this), that he would personally test both the charging function and the external speaker function of a rep[lacement unit BEFORE he shipped the unit. That would provide extra assurance that the replacement unit would arrive in working order. Third, he voluntered to send me a trial copy of Destinator 3 software (normally $15) for no charge because he explained that the brand I had already purchased, but not yet used, would be very complex and difficult for my wife it is actually a birthday present for her).
In summary every customer service group is great when no issues occur. But, when you do encounter an issue (like mind) that's when you really find out who is really superior. I can honestly say that dealing with Joe has been a real pleasure and I would definitely purchase future products from them. They truly have it all, lowest price, best selection of products, AND best customer service when you really need it. Joe is a superior example of a "role model" customer service representative!!! So in summary, don't be scared of the fact that they don't have a customer service telephone number. They indeed do respond well to email requests and they do follow up by phone if you request it. I am now a very delighted customer!!!
After receiving the Destinator 3 trail software and comparing it to the Teletype software I also ordered, there were VERY GREAT DIFFERENCES. Although, the Teletype software has many more individula features, the basic mapping function did not work nearly as well. Teletype did not route me to my desitnation the most effective way. It made basic mistakes when it passed by streets available on its maps and went out of the way before arriving at the final destination. Also it was NOT USER FRIENDLY at all. Destinator 3, although it lacks some of the functionality of Destinator3 it is much more effective in routing and much more user friendly.
SO, I continue to be a delighted customer and today I have ordered the full version of Destinator 3 software for my on-going use. Joe Kee is the best customer support person I have ever dealt with in over 15 years of buying many products over the net.
