I was diagnosed with severe apnea a in the USA and have been using CPAP for 20 years. I am now living in a third world country, far away from main cities and unable to get any assistance from a professional that is familiar with the use of this new equipment I have now purchased.
I called CPAP. com, asking only about the exact meaning of some of the indicators of this machine.
I was however cut off without any consideration, with the argument that CPAP could not give any explanation and that had to consult a specialist. I was not asking for CPAP.com to tell me how to use the equipment. After 20 years and periodic sleeptests, i am quite aware of my pressure requirement ans general use of a CPAP machine. This however is my first auto CPAP and I only wanted to know, for example if AHI index meant, apnea episodes per day or per hour. And also some other indexes.
Under the circumstances where I am totally unable to get any assistance ( which I explained to the person on the phone) I would have expected a minimun degree of empathy and consideration.
