When I called they actually said "we find that most of the time that the item cancled email will go to your spam mail" WTF why wouldn't you call then. Have been buying there for 10 years. "After nearly two months the package I ordered still hasn’t made it to anchorage. (Infact, they have no idea where it is). Their anchorage store said it’ll take another “around three more weeks from there” to be shipped to me.
Every time I call them I get different responses, some even stating it hasn’t even shipped yet. Some saying they don’t have it in stock anymore so I can get my money back. Others state “it’s on its way.”
I feel like they should buy this same product for me from another retailer. I’m sure “midway USA” can get it to me a lot faster, I know because I’ve ordered items just like it WEEKS after I placed the Cabela’s order and all orders showed up WEEKS ago. Same with amazon and as well as palmetto state Armory. I will never order from Cabela’s again, which is a bummer because I know they have some good deals. "

For those coveting a new firearm for the holidays I want to give a cautionary tale about Cabellas. I went to my local store to buy a pistol last year on Black Friday. I arrived early to beat the crowds, what a joke there was still a 4 hour wait to buy a firearm by 8am that day. In the store you take a number at firearms counter and wait to be called on I noticed some clients were sitting on displays playing cards. So I left and bought it online from Cabellas for $25 less but it was only a fleeting victory over the crowds as I still had to visit the local Cabellas store to pick up the weapon. I went multiple times in December and then in January and got tired of waiting each time so I left. The first time I went the wait time was again close to 4 hours !!!! Whether you are buying or picking up a weapon that is already purchased the wait is the same !?!? IT WAS NOT UNTIL APRIL THAT I COULD WALK IN AND NOT HAVE TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR TO BE WAITED ON. Then once you get served you must go through the background check using a electronic tablet they provide, then wait some more and then if you pass it then you get the privilege of GOING TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT IN THE STORE WHERE YOU GET TO WAIT SOME MORE TO CONFIRM IT IS ALL PAID FOR CORRECTLY !!??
All in all I wasted about 8 hours of my time to save $75 on a pistol that I could have bought from a local firearms dealer in 1/4 the time for close to the same price as their sale price !!!
Never again…. Cabellas has no respect for their customers time.

"I have a defective axillary fuel tank I purchased from Cabela's that leaks. Since I have put fuel in it they will not replace it, store policy. How do you check it without putting fuel in it. I did get a manager to agree to replace it with a new one last night but this morning the next manager refused to exchange it. I'm done with Cabela's. "

Fraudulous sale and bad service bought a knife was advertised as a 551-1 20cv blade and g10 handle. Cabelas send me an frn handle and 154cm wich in benchmade catalog worth a lot more and is a better quality knife. After seeing that i have bait and switch scammed i got offered deceitfull way of solving the problem. I counter offered fair resolvment wich got declined. I am now in the process of filling an official complaint with the competition bureau. Would not do business with cabela again

"I had a defective cabela food sealer and needed to trade it for a new one. Jordon the customer service manager was ask to help me with that because they no longer had the one I had. He went and replaced it with a slightly better one. He and the other employees are extremely helpful and nice while helping resolve your problem. Jordon works in the Tualatin Oregon store. I will definitely continue shopping at that Cabela's"
"Their drop ship company is horrible. Decided my address was undeliverable regardless of my assurances there are no low hanging trees, actually, no trees over street at all! Dropped my item with another company, didn’t bother to tell me so the person at my home to receive it stayed all day then it never came! Now, new company calls over 24 hours after they hit the item so delivery will be over another weekend!!! Awful, awful, awful! Will never order from them again. "
"After the reviews, I am not at all surprised about my experience. I ordered a shotgun, was told, "Backordered, 1-2 weeks." Four weeks later after writing, I was told a date, about three weeks in the future and that I would be called with updated info. On the date, after hearing nothing, I checked on line... nothing, so I called the automated customer service and was told within 4 days. I called alive person who said that it should be arriving to their warehouse today, but they were not sure and that I probably would have it delivered to the local store within 8 days. Geesh.

"I ordered an item that appeared to be on sale. They shipped it, but the day before it was about to be delivered, I got a message from FedEx saying that the package was damaged and is being returned to the shipper. At the same time, the scammers at Cabela's emailed me claiming the item's price was incorrect and that they put my order on hold. This is all after they got all of my info and charged my credit card. They got FedEx to lie about the shipment being damaged to justify it being intercepted and returned to the liars at Cabela's. I still do not have my refund and am about to file a credit card charge-back. Stay away from this dishonest business! My experience with them was HORRIBLE."
