"Placed an order for Spyder3Pro today with Calibration-Direct. Customer svc explained that item was in stock & would be shipped today and I can expect arrival in Yuma, Az within 3-4 business days. Svc Rep seemed to be very knowledgeable regarding all display calibration devices. Very good pricing as compared to the major suppliers and service seems to be 100% positive at this point. If product arrives as indicated and on time I will definately us this supplier in the future.

When I ordered the Spyder3 I was told that I should receive it with 3-4 days, item was received 3 working days after I placed order. This company is excellant to deal with.

"This is the first order I am making with Calibration-Direct. After I ordered Spyder2Express I became concerned, since I hadn't heard of this company at all before, that the product may not be new (because it was less expensive that Amazon.com, buy.com, or B&Hphoto.com. I tried to call and left a message regarding this, but did not get a call back. I hope to receive an answer, especially now, beause I see that I am at a url called resellerratings.com. But otherwise, the initial steps were easy and I just have to wait to receive the product and also see if the company responds to my call. If I am pleased I'll be happy and advertise to my friends; if not, I will be negatuve about the company and its products.
Later in the afternoon, I got a response from Calibration-Direct. They were very nice, surprised and upset that I might think that any of their products were not new. They were happy to tell me that they hoped that I would enjoy the product, Spyder3Express. I should receive it definitely within 3 - 4 business days. I was pleased with this personal attention and feel more secure that I am dealing with a reliable company.
To my complete surprise ( and extreme satisfaction)I received the Spyder3Express two days after I made the offer. The company proved to be speedy and very reliable in delivering their product. I was so very satisfied with the service and product provided by this company.

"Ordering through Calibration-Direct was easy and efficient. I purchased a Spyder 3 Pro monitor calibration tool. Calibration-Direct had the best price I could find online. Even paying for shipping, the cost was about $15 less than I would have paid at my local camera store that caters to professional photographers. So far, so good."

"I ordered Spyder3Pro from Calibration direct on Feb-18 after seeing recommendations for it in notebookreview.com forums. Calibration direct had the cheapest offering in the market and price difference from the next cheapest was huge, and made it an obvious choice. But I had a little reluctance as some of the most recent ratings in resellerratings were not very positive. But went ahead with the purchase because I found that for every negative review, the store had responded with a detailed explanation- that means a lot to me.

I ordered thro Calibration direct and there were no issues. I did not return the product to them, so I cannot comment on that aspect. But the shopping experience was very smooth. I never had to call them- the order was shipped the next day after ordering, and it arrived in a couple of days after that. No complaints

"I have had a similar experience to the last two reviewers. I ordered a Spyder3 Express on Feb. 6. I received an email on Feb 9 giving me a summary of my billing and shipping information, which was correct. I had not received it by Feb 12 (I live in the same state), so called them and was told it was shipped on Feb 9, but they could not provide any tracking details. I decided to be patient, but by Feb 18, was concerned, so left a voice message, which was not returned. Two emails also sent via the website and by personal email were not responsded to. I called again on Feb 19, and always got voicemail, which I knew someone was at their work, because it was a different voicemail stating that they had been taking inventory on Feb 17 and Feb 18. It would not let me leave a voicemail on Feb 19, because the "inbox was full", or something to that effect. Today is Feb 22, and attempts at contacting them via their toll-free number and other direct line only comes up voicemail. It has been changed from the "inventory" message from last week, so I know that someone is there to play with the messages. This is extremely poor customer service, particularly when there appears to be an avoidance of speaking with me. I have been patient enough that I know it is not a post office problem, because I have yet to have any issue with priority mail (and it is obviously good enough in their mind to use it.) I have tried three kinds of means to communicate (website email, personal email, telephone), and no one has the decency to answer. Don't tell me it is my spam filter, because it is not. This is extremely poor customer service, without any excuse.
Update: Later on that day, I finally received an email from them, stating that they had mislabeled my shipment, and the Post Office had returned it. They offered a full refund including shipping, which I accepted. They confirmed through email my refund, and I am now waiting for it to show up in my account.

Final update: Full refund was received in my bank account on Feb 25

"I ordered the Spyder3 Studio SR on the 9th of February. I received an e-mail on the 10th from the Post Office with the tracking number and a link to the USPS web site for tracking the package.

I clicked on the link and went to the web site, entered the number. The only information provided was that the USPS had received an electronic notice that a mailing label had been printed, but there was no information that the item had actually shipped. I logged on to the USPS site again today, the 12th of February and entered the same mailing label number and received the exact same info that the USPS had been notified that the mailing label had been printed.

I tried contacting Calibration-Direct and got voice mail. I then went to their web site to send an e-mail and after submitting, the next page indicated I would receive a response within 24 "business" hours. Since this is Friday, that means no information until Monday of next week.

I then called the USPS and after some trials, was able to speak to a human being. I told her what was going on and gave her the label information. She then told me that the service Calibration-Direct had used does not provide tracking information. It only provides them (and the purchaser) with a confirmation that the item has been delivered and signed for.

This is useless, since first, I have to be at home to sign for the delivery, but I have no idea when it is going to be delivered. Second, if I'm at home and sign for the delivery, why the heck do I need to go to the USPS web site to find out that I've received the delivery.

I would not consider using this operation again.

".... I wish I could rate this seller, but all my efforts to get in touch with them were in vain. After placing the order an automated reply signaled the receipt of my order and that was about it. I managed to talk to (I presume) the owner-operator Brian Smith, who than lectured me on the number of day that have passed .... "not that long!" ... To me if someone promises to get back to me in 24 to 48 hours 6 days (144 hours)is quite enough. My impression of Calibration-Direct is that: this one-man show is not serious about his business and with his nonexistent customer service reflects really badly on Datacolor.
No, I would not recommend this company to my worst enemies let alone my friends.

"I ordered a Spyder3 Pro and a Spyder Cube from these guys on 9/15. They promptly shipped the Spyder3 pro, but were out of stock on the cube (although the website did not indicate the out of stock). All in all a good experience, they responded to emails, and shipped promptly. I would have preferred for them to call or email to tell me the cube was out of stock instead of just including a note in my package about it. The seller promptly refunded my money for the out of stock item when I requested it, I'd definitely shop here again. If I could change anything, it would be better notification (perhaps on the ordering system on the site) of out of stock items, and more shipping options - they only use USPS. Anyway, these guys are on the level, shop here with confidence."

"I purchased a DataColor Spyder 3 Elite from Calibration-Direct for a very good price. They shipped promptly and I received the unit in two days time. Unfortunately the box has been badly damaged in transit. Fearing this would harm such a delicate instrument, I requested an exchange. Sure enough, two days later a replacement unit - very well packed - was on my doorstep complete with return label. I'll be glad to recommend them and use them the next time I need a colorimeter."

"YUP! I took a fast trip to the Post Office and picked up the ColorVision Studio3…it just saved my day.

Seems it arrived on Saturday and it was refused by the security office…they have since been informed to sign for packages and to get them to the addressee.

So… at it turns out YOU NOT ONLY PROVIDED A FANTASTIC PRICE… YOU SHIPPED ON TIME, DELIVERED ON TIME! My hat if off to you and you have my thanks for getting into this problem of mine and helping me solve it.
