"Ordered a set of CrimsonTrace grips,supposedly to fit a S&W M&P 45c back on 6/6/11. Once received,it was determined they were not for the 45c and further examination into it actually showed that they make no such grip for that particular caliber of the M&P compact, although they were listed on the order form that they would, in which I have a copy.
I realize this is not your fault and it was probably just a typo on your site. I returned this to you along with a letter stating that this item should qualify for a full refund, not subject to a restock fee, because had it not been listed as fitting my gun,it never would have been ordered.
Be that as it may, I have received no contact from you guys at all. You have been dead silent since you got my money AND your item back in your hands. The only answer I got from you, if you want to call it that, was on 7/20/11 after I initiated contact with you to see why I haven't got my refund yet.. On 7/20/11, I was emailed back by your billing dept that a refund check had been "generated".. okay,what's that supposed to mean ??. C'mon, you write a check,enter it and mail it - what's this "generate" crap ?. You've been holding onto my money for nearly 2 months without good reason.I purchased and returned the item in good faith to you,so why the games people ?
You have ignored numerous phone calls and emails to you to find out what the delay is, so its obvious keeping customer relations intact isn't important to you. As far as I'm concerned, totally ignoring my attempts to contact you while witholding my money isn't any different than theft and that's how I'm going to treat this matter.
If there is no resolution to this completely by 8/5/11, I'm turning this matter over to the US Postal authorities for fraud.
There are too many other companies out there that DO have integrity and customer service to put up with this from you guys !
8/8/11 UPDATE!! Well,still no refund check despite your claim that the "check is in the mail" By the way,if you even sent it,WHEN did you send it?. Not one time in your response to this review did you say when it was sent!.You supposedly sent one back in July and it was never received... wouldn't you think by now it would be easier to just put a stop on the "other" check and re-issue a new one so this can be resolved. If you've got any "HAIR" to respond to this latest update, I'm anxiously awaiting your latest pathetic excuse ! "

"I could do without having to sign for low value packages--can be a major inconvenience !!! Not everybody can hang around on workdays waiting for UPS to show up. Most online vendors do not require signature except for high value items.
I also dislike Cal's addition of a *handling* charge. This should be included in the price of an item or in the shipping charge. *Handling* fee seems to be just a dodge to make the item price seem lower.
And filling out this survey has been a real pain in the ass with continual demands for re-dos. I am so pissed off now, I may never go to Cal's again !!!

"No customer srevice, deceiving discription of mechandise! I ordered ammo described as 9MM 105GR 50 500 $65.90 on sale $47.25. Buying 9MM around $10 per box of 50 delivered regularly from other suppliers, I misread this discription as being 500 rounds for $47.50. Four hours after ordering I tried to contact by phone and received a answer machine. I then tried by email and asked to cancel/change order if I misread and web site stated I would receive a reply within 48 hours. Four days later I recieved my order two boxes of 50 for $94.50 plus shipping and I have as of yet received a reply from my original email. It was also stated signature required for order and sent ground UPS. My order was sent Fed Ex & they deliver 8am to 8pm . I work, I am not home during those hours therefore I had to drive 25 miles to a Fed Ex depo to pick up order when I have A UPS office 2 miles from home. UPS would also have left a signature slip and re-deliverd with a signed slip, Fed Ex does not. I have ordered thousands of rounds of ammo with no signature from Cabellos, Palmetto State Armory, Georgia Ammo etc. If I needed to change order or cancel I was greeted by a live person who answered my questions and handled my concerns. Cals took my money on a ripp-off purchase and did not have the common courtesy do reply to my email even if I would not have liked their reply. Ther are to many good companies to deal with than to deal with this bunch! Get me once shame on you, get me twice shame on me. They will not get another chance!"
"Redfield 4-12X 40mm rifle scope was received in 3-days. The product was shipped when stated. I received tracking info and product was packaged professionally and received in new unopened condition. Price was 20 percent lower than other internet sites (Midway Sports) and Cals had free shipping. I will definately use Cals again. Good work."
"Great company to deal with IF, and this is a big IF you don’t need any service after the sale. God help you if you do! When you read the reviews here you will see a common thread, people are very pleased, until they need help AFTER the sale, and that’s where things get ugly! This company is obviously set up to receive your order over an iphone, transmit it to a warehouse to ship and then they are DONE with you. It’s one of those, “No human contact companies”. I ordered an Adams Gas Piston Kit about a month ago, it came in damaged, I called and got a voice message, (It’s a lady with a British accent who politely tells you to leave a message). Only of course, they never call back, so I sent an e-mail and was informed to send the damaged item back with a return authorization number. I promptly returned the item and called a week later to confirm receipt, no returned call. So I e-mailed, no returned e-mail, so I e-mailed again, no response. I figured I’d call once more, so I did and left yet another message. Of course, no response, so I e-mailed a different section of the company, no response again. So I sent an e-mail that basically said if I don’t hear back from you in the next 48 hours I’m going to dispute the charge on my Visa card. Yep, you guessed it, no return call and no e-mail. So, I had no choice but to call my Visa card company and dispute the charge, and that’s where it sits right now. For all I know this company doesn’t even exist anymore! All I wanted was a call or an e-mail that said, “Yes, we got the item back and we are processing a refund”, or perhaps, “Yes, we got the item and we are sending out a replacement”. Instead I got silence. Not a word! No contact at all. I can understand one forgotten return call, or one e-mail lost in Cyber Space, but this was not forgetfulness, it’s just downright sloppy. So, in closing, may I suggest you think very carefully about dealing with this company, they’re great IF everything goes smooth, BUT if you need service after the sale, Good Luck! - TG

"I got my order quickly. They shipped it within a day and I got it in exactly the amount of time they said. I paid for 3 day air when I ordered my upper receiver and got it in 2 days. One thing I would say is that when I called to check on the order I got an answering machine no matter the option I chose and no one ever called back after leaving 2 messages. I also tried to email and got no answer back then either. Didn't make much of a difference since I got exactly what I ordered exactly when I should have, but if there had been a problem not sure how much help I would have gotten. "
