"In terms of the merchandise, it was fine. They sent me what I ordered and the price was about the same as anywhere else.

Getting the item here? THAT's another story. the only option to ship it to Alaska was USPS Priority Mail at $16.30. The USPS has a flat rate shipping option for about 6 bucks. Oh, and when the box arrived, the postage on it: 12 dollars!!! The gun magazine I ordered weighs about 3 ounces and you could have fit 50 of them in the box they shipped the thing in.

Online merchants sometimes treat Alaska like it is a foreign country. Alaskans generally know who is trying to make a few extra bucks from this ploy.

Until they change their shipping policies, no more orders from me.

Given the quick and generous response from cals, I am upgrading the stars.

"This was my first order I ever placed with Cal's Sporting Armory and probably not my last. I've been looking for over a year for the Sig Sauer Canvas Brown Conceal Carry Coat. Most of the places were either out of stock or ridiculously expensive. Cal's not only had my size in stock, but reasonably priced. Also, the UPS ground shipping was more than fair. My order arrived in 3 days. What more can anyone ask for. Ease of shopping, merchandise in stock and fast shipping. I'll definitely be shopping at Cal's more frequently.

"I ordered a 5.11 tactical FLASHLIGHT and all seemed well until I received the flashlight and it was not the one that I meant to buy. 3 different models of the same model. My fault. They really need to have better explanation/descriptions. They make an online store a hassle to deal with.Not worth ordering from a company that charges you a 12% restocking fee even if you are buying something else from them.This will surely be the last time I deal with this company. I sincerely hope that this discourages anyone who reads it from doing business with cals.

What I have said will be repeated and your obvious sterness and non customer like service and lack of how can we help you company wide attitude will catch up with you. Great prices always come at a cost. Returns, exchanges, or any problems with a product purchased with Cals Sporting Armory is obviously where you make up for your losses."

"I would not buy from them again.. They made a mistake on their webpage and it is like pulling teeth to get a refund. Not worth the hassle of dealing with.

Additional info.. I did receive my refund for the shipping on July 5 2011 -thats three months in round numbers.... They do have the low prices and if everything goes good appear hard to beat. I did not care for how my and order invoice was changed online and then my cals account was deleted after I squaked on here.. Thankfully I kept back up copies of everything and it did work out ok in the end but I do not agree with their policies.. "

"This is my second experience with Cals, and I must say, they have done everything right. Fast shipment, answered e-mails, quality products and very competitive pricing. Both items I ordered were fairly expensive, one over $200 and the other over $350. I would not hesitate to use them again and can honestly recommend their services.
