"I must admit I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews for Camera Kings, but at such a good price discount from other stores I decided to call.I asked many questions, such as is the product A line (non-blemished), brand new,how many did they have, shipping and so on. I was assured so I placed my order as I promised I would write a review. I declined the Insurance that they offered me through another company as I depended on the quality of the product. The very next day I recieved "Your order has shipped" email with the UPS tracking number. I recieved it in perfect new, unopened condition just as I was told. I am very happy with my sales man, Mark, and the product. I ordered a Pioneer Reciever Elite VSX-23THX. For me I am one happy customer. If your a wondering like I was, or if you'd ask me, I'd say give them a try. "

"I have very mixed feelings from dealing with this merchant. I ordered a Sony DSC-HX1 and their site had a price of $409 with free shipping and a free gift. I gave my credit card info and expected to get an order confirmed, not a call us to confirm your order. We played phone tag and I spoke to Eric who worked hard to upgrade my purchase. He said the original equipment battery was no good and sold me their best for $39. Other than the delay for having to confirm the order, it was shipped quickly and was well packed. My invoice price had gone to $498 - I called Eric back and he said it was extended insurance. When the camera arrived there wasn't anything to show the extended warranty and the battery I was talked into isn't even for the camera and couldn't possibly fit into it. It sure wasn't like I had juxtaposed numbers as he sold me on it. I called support and they gave me a return number and will send my correct battery after they receive the wrong one, which I am stuck with the shipping bill and have to do without until they resolve this. I am told I will be sent the extended warranty with the correct battery. I will have to wait and see.

Good merchandise - pushy salesmanship and unexpected double move to complete the order - poor invoice - free gift items are cheaply made (they were free after all) - being sent the wrong part that is fully on them and being stuck with handling and postage costs. You have to make your own call. For what I paid I could have gotten the camera from Sony direct or Best Buy and not have had the hassle.

"DO NOT BUY IN CAMERA KINGS, THEY ARE TOTALLY UNRELIABLE.
On January 20th,I have ordered a Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Digital SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLR Cameras for aprox. $345
On January 21, they cancelled my order without any petition from me, and a couple of day later, same lens appeard in their website with a price of $395.
They have just decide not to delivered a purchase that I payed with Amex.
They will not honored payed purchases, if they find out that they can make a better bussines.

"Well I took a chance on this place and it was a waste of time. I ordered a Yamaha receiver on Jan 1st. Rupert called me right away to upsell me something that I did not want and I declined his offer. That was what I thought the end of it and I would be enjoying my new Yamaha real soon. Rupert went as far to say they would ship it right away. Well after a few days of no contact by Camerakings I emailed them to ask about a tracking number.They answered my email the next day with the old "sorry we oversold and it will ship soon" song and dance. So a few days later still no contact or update from Camerakings I email them again and was told it should ship friday. Now friday comes and goes and no contact from Camerakings so I email again to cancel my order. Now I must give them credit for prompt credit to my Paypal account. The money was back in the next day. But it seems all I did was loan them my money for twenty days and got nothing in return. I have since decided to go with the Denon 4810ci and I see that once again Camerakings list the best price. Will I fall for this? Not a chance. I will never order from this place again. They don't have the items in stock and no contact from them tells me to stay far away. I do think if you type in anything Camerakings will list the best price Too bad they don't have it."

"Ordered an Olympus E620 2 lens camera kit on 1/11/2010. Received the item on 1/15/2010, with free shipping. Everything was perfect; factory fresh, USA warranties,etc. Have not received free gifts as advertised, but I am very pleased with the company and plan to buy a camcorder from them next."

" I purchased a new Canon 5D mark II online on Sat. afternoon, and in a short time got a confirmation email. Later that evening I received another email saying that they had tried to contact me by phone but had not reached me, and that phone confirmation of the order was necessary to process the order.
I was unable to contact them at the email supplied phone number until Monday. I was prepared to expect a hard sell on upgrades and accessories, but the sales rep was very polite and not pushy. I was off the phone in 5 minutes.
The camera arrived the next day as I had paid the extra fee for overnight shipping. Eveything was there in great shape as described.
Shipping was free, but I had paid the extra fee for overnight delivery, it arrived as promised the next day.
Would deal with this comany again.

"I was hesitant to order from Camera King due to their low price on the Nikon 10-24 lens I bought from them. But since they accepted PayPal, I decided to take a chance and ordered online. I had no issues with them. Ordered on 1/6, item shipped on 1/11. Received on 1/18 - East coast to West coast. Don't know if the extra $4.99 I paid to expedite shipping helped. Item as stated. Internal packaging could have been better. Good thing Nikon box was sturdy."

"Ordered a Sony HDR-XR520V (significant savings over retail outlets and all websites except Amazon, which was close). Worked with Eric at ext. 278....after I told him what I wanted (filter lenses, 2x zoom, extended time batteries, bag, quick charger, etc.), he suggested a similar priced package deal they had with all I asked for plus additional extended time battery, larger bag, and more...no pressure to buy anything I didn't ask for, just a better package price. The order arrived as promised. All accounted for. Everything is working great. Appreciate the efficient service. "

"I bought a Canon EOS 5D MKII (a $2400 digital SLR) from Michael. He was pushy (his up-selling eventually turned into an argument with me saying "no, please just send me the camera body only"). It was the most unpleasant retail experience I had ever had, but the price was right, so I thought, if it arrives on time and everything is cool, then great. Particularly, I wanted to make sure that the Camera was a USA product with a USA warranty, which I was crystal clear about on the phone with Michael, and that I paid an extra $175 to get.

What arrived was a camera in a box that was originally a camera kit with a lens. No warranty card. I confirmed with canon right when it arrived because I was suspicious, what they told me was "if there's no warranty card in the box, it's not a canon usa product. There is one warranty card printed per camera with the serial number on it." The CSR at Canon went on to explain how the state of New York sued to put a bunch of shady internet camera shops out of business a few years back, most of whom came back under different business names. The best way to make sure you're dealing with a legitimate business is to make sure there is a storefront. I can't find a store address on Camera Kings website.

Brian (customer service) explained it away but nothing changes the fact that I do not have a USA warranty card, which according to the CSR at Canon has to be sent in with the camera for warranty service. Brian offered to accept the camera back since they "are a wholesaler and don't have warranty cards for any of their cameras," and couldn't send me what I understood I was purchasing. I decided to write off the $175 and move on, since I can still get repair service if it breaks (untrue with Nikon, who like some other manufacturers won't service non USA products in the U.S., period.)

It had been about 6 years since I'd been extorted by a NY camera shop. Perhaps it'll be 10 more before I forget again and not go to B&H...

"After leaving a negative review, I was contacted by Camera Kings, and they sent me the type of high speed card I originally ordered, as well as upgrading the capacity. So, after three attempts to bring this to their attention, I finally received what I was originally sold. They said it was not their intention that I be disastisfied with Camera Kings. You will have to judge for yourself whether or not you want to do business with this company.


I originally bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-F235K camera from CameraKings online. Then their salesman called and sold me a long-life battery, and a HIGH ENERGY SD card that he said was necessary to shoot video and to take shots in rapid succession, which would eliminate the six second lag between shots. I agreed, and he verified that I would receive the free gift package as well. The camera arrived, the the free gift was not included and the SD card was standard, not HIGH ENERGY as sold to me on the phone. I called CameraKings, and the girl said she would send out the free gift and HIGH ENERGY card, and to just keep the standard card. Nothing happened. I called again and spoke to Brian Gordon on Dec. 14th. He said the corrected order had never been placed and he would send the HIGH ENERGY CARD and FREE GIFT PACKAGE. The free gift arrived and yet another standard SD card, not HIGH ENERGY. I would never have purchased a standard SD card that I can buy for less than $10 here. I can't believe that losing a customer was worth this.

"Found Camera Kings when shopping for a Canon EOS 7D. The difference in price from this retailer ($1325) and others ($1699) is huge, so I was skeptical, looked them up here, read the negative reviews, and was a little uneasy despite the positive ones as well. I still went for it given the price was incredible.

I placed my order on 12.28.09, and emailed them asking to have it shipped asap because of a trip to Colorado this week. They replied telling me to call and expedite the process. I called to confirm the order, bumped the shipping speed from 7-10 day (free) to 4-7 ($29.95) to ensure I got it before my trip. The c.s.r was easy to speak with, tried to sell me a battery and memory cards as well, but nothing aggressive. My order was placed. It shipped on 12.29.09 and arrived on 12.30.09 (i'm located in NJ and they're from Brooklyn, NY). Still I was amazed with the delivery speed. Package looks great. I love this camera! I'm very satisfied. Would definitely order from here again.

"I was a little concerned about some of the less than steller ratings, but I decided to take a chance on buying a Canon HF S100. Cameraking's price was about $140 less than the compitition. I'm glad I took the chance. I did get the followup call the day after the order from a customer rep who offered accessories - I didn't think he was overly aggressive. He covered all the basis, memory, battery, charger, etc. I told him I had most of these things already and it was no problem. I placed my order Saturday PM and was shocked to see the order on my doorstep Tuesday PM (from NY->PA). I had a good experience and would do business again with CK. All I can suggest is don't wait until the week before of needing something to order it...that's just common sense and you have no one to blame but yourself."
