"Let me start out by saying that I am a frequent online shopper and probably buy anywhere from $50 to $500 in merchandise per month.
The experience that I had with Capitol Supply was the worst that I have ever had with an online retailer. I was heading to the Dominican Republic on vacation in late September and wanted to purchase some cheap underwater disposable cameras because I had heard that the snorkeling there was excellent. I shopped around on the internet for a while and found a great price on exactly what I was looking for at Capitol Supply.
Their website appears to be legit so I go ahead and place my order for 2 of these cameras on September 10, 2010 (confirmation code #610891). A few hours after I placed my order I was sent an email notifying me that my cameras are out of stock and the order has been canceled. This is no big deal, I understand it happens all the time.
Meanwhile, I wait 3 business days and notice on my credit card statement that a charge for the cameras is still showing so I emailed the customer service rep that told my my order had been canceled. She assured me that the charge was a $1.00 pre-authorization charge and it would disappear from my credit card bill after 3-5 business days. I contacted them again on September 22 (way more than 3-5 business days) to which they reply with a transaction record that has incorrect name, order, and credit card info that shows a $1.00 pre-authorization. At this point, I'm 3 days from making my trip abroad so I don't want to dispute the charge right away for fear of needing to wait for a new credit card (they tell you to destroy any credit card you have billing disputes with).
I contacted them AGAIN today asking them to remove the charge and received the response "So sorry for the inconvenience Mr. XXX! I see the charge on your statement, but I cannot see it in our ordering system. I have forwarded your email to our IT Department for their assistance in resolving the issue."
We'll see how this turns out but NEVER HAVE I EVER had something take this long to resolve (going on 25 BUSINESS days)!
BOTTOM LINE - - BUYER BEWARE!

Dear Jon Levine Director of Marketing Capitol Supply:
You and your employees are a bunch of two-bit crooks. Two months after spending a month and a half removing charges for a cancelled order (see above), I received a package in the mail (12/22/2010)...guess what it was? My order from September 9, 2010! At first, I thought it was a kind gesture of Capitol Supply by sending me the original order, free of charge -- but no, my January credit card bill has the charge from Capitol Supply BACK ON IT. Nice work padding the 12/31/2010 revenue figures you jerks. Something better happen quick to fix this."
"We had a problem with the oven rack fitting but was no fault of Capital supply it was a Whirlpool issue but Capital took charge and corrected the problem promptly and to my complete satisfaction I would have no problems using them in the future "

"For some reason, this item was reasonably hard to find. We had originally installed about 140 of these faucets back in 2006 in our RV park. They have worked well, but there are other faucets that we have to replace from time to time. When trying to find these female ips they just were not easy to find. Internet search and i found Capitol Supply. I needed two boxes and they were able to sell them to me on line, and shipped in a reasonably quick timeframe. I recommend using their system and products. "
