"Price and customer service was good. Delivery was prompt but I had no warning they were delivering on that day. Unit was damaged during shipment. Warranty sounds good (Goodman Gaspac) but the fine print makes it nearly impossible to implement the warranty. I just hope it holds up because I'm stuck with it now.

Update 9-21-12: Just finished installation and all seems well. Damage was superficial (bent sheet metal)... small leak around the condensation drain seems to be the only problem.
Overall I'd up the rating to 4 stars - Five for Ingrams, Four for the unit, and Three for Goodman. I'm still not happy with their Warranty exclusion, but Ingrams says that they will honor it. :)

"Ordered a McQuay 3 ton water source heat pump. Unit shipped in a fair amount of time. Hooked the unit up and powered it on, as soon as the compressor kicked on sparks and a puff of smoke came billowing out of the blower motor.

Called Ingrams and they sent out a new blower. Installed it and same results, out comes smoke and sparks. This time Ingrams sent me a wiring diagram for the blower motor, and come to find out the blower wiring harness was wired wrong from the McQuay factory.

Ingrams sent me another new blower motor, blower housing, and a new wiring harness. When the new items arrived they were damaged during shipping and the housing was bent beyond use. Using my old housing, the new blower motor, and the new wiring harness I was finally up and running.

So, after a few weeks of trouble, and help from Ingrams, I am pleased with the performance of the heat pump. By the way, Ingrams picked up all the shipping back and forth for the defective parts and was helpful during the entire process.

Originally, I purchased another unit from Factory Furnace Outlet. It arrived without refrigerant then they tried to tell me refrigerant was not covered under the warranty. Long story short it was a long drawn out nightmare.
I purchased another unit from Ingrams, because the reviews were good. It was every bit as simple as it should be. The order was processed, it shipped and arrived as promised, in working order. Lesson learned, buy from a company that subscribes to a ratings service.
