"This is the first time we have chosen CharterUp to handle all of our bus trips. Depending on who your "sales rep" is, your experience my vary. Here is what I have encountered:
1. I received no explanation on whether driver tips, meals, or lodging were included in our over night trip.
Again, if you receive a great sales person like Aaron, I am sure he will explain everything to you accordingly.
2. On one of our trips, the bus's door was broken, so the driver asked us to engage the emergency door opener whenever he closed the door from the outside. This concerns me, as I have no idea whether the bus door will pop open throughout our trip.
3. Our overnight driver told me we needed to pay him $20/meal. Of course, I did give him $20/meal for all the meals we had, just to find out that meals are already included in the price!
Good thing CharterUp was able to refund my money for my loss.
As a company seeking to go IPO, I have the following suggestion:
1. If you want to automate your entire process, make sure to let your customers know beforehand what is included and what is not.
2. Keep sending texts or emails with what to expect during a pickup. I had to call in or email Aaron to ask when I would receive my driver information and such.
3. Lots of training is still required for your sales rep; Aaron can't make everyone happy, and there is only one Aaron.
