"I bought a Kel Tek P11 on wed. and it was at my FFL Friday afternoon. That was great shipping and they only charged %10.95 to ship the gun. Plus it only cost $221.00 and that was the very cheapest I could find anywhere. When I called I will admit I was not treated with the respect I expected but oh well. I think I bothered them on their lunch or something. Oh well... best gun price and very fast shipping.. A+A+A+"

"I have bought from here before. They are good not great in my opinion. They have just about anything you could ever want, so that is a plus. Their prices are again, good not great. I have only made one purchase from them and it was ammo. They were the only ones who i could find had the ammo i wanted in stock (Hornady .380 critical defense ammo). Shipping was fast, you just have to make sure you order from the right warehouse, they have 4 of them and your shipping price will be different from each. I waited 2 weeks for a tracking number then finally contacted them and they said that they were out of stock and would refund my credit card. When they finally get the item you've been waiting on the other items you wanted are either not in stock or the price has increased. "They ship from multiple warehouses and charge double shipping rates for one order. They claim that their customers are okay with it. These locations are not theirs, but the manufacture, drop shipping the item for them. I have watched items increase in price when they come available comparable to bait & switch tactics. Companies like this pray on folks wanting a "GOOD DEAL" who are blinded by smart marketing tactics. "

"I have made a couple of purchases from Cheaper Than Dirt. Items have shipped quickly, arrived intact, and worked as expected. The UTG Rangers Field Bag is great and arrived the next day. The other was a stock which installed easily.

They deal a lot in surplus and one only items. Be sure to read the description for your item, know they mean it when they specifically say "Contents may vary" and "this item cannot be returned" Cheaper Than Dirt is straight up honest when telling you this.

Shipping seemed a little high not bad, but the product arrived much quicker than anticipated and was well packed.

I really like the product reviews they put up on their site, they seem well balanced both positive and negative, and they do not appear to be contrived or edited. I find their product reviews very helpful before making a purchase.

My experience is most of the time their price is the best sometimes it is not. Do your research.

Made three calls to them over the next few days and was assured that the gun had shipped --- but no shipping number was available. FINALLY, after a week I spoke with someone who told me they cancelled my order and refunded my money. The gun was never in stock nor had it shipped!

"Ordered a Taurus 738 TCP .380 on Friday. On Monday pulled up their website and the same gun was listed $50 cheaper. Called the ***-***-**** number on Monday and was told to call back on Tues. as they were closed. This was at 12 noon. Called on Tues. and talked to Jan. She said go to ****@**** and request that I get the Taurus 738 at the lower price. Why she couldn't handle it, I have no idea. I have emailed two request and have heard nothing from anyone. I am going to call my credit card company and stop payment if I don't get a reply today."

"I was scepticle about ordering from CTD, but the extremely low price for 2 heritage revolovers drove me to try them. This was a good overall experience. They overnighted the 2 guns from their Texas warehouse and they arrived in Denver the next day at the FFL I chose for only $11. They were well packed and exactly what they described. I will definitely buy guns from them in the future. They did send a strange email saying the guns were no longer availible and my order was cancelled, but the 2 guns had already been delivered to my dealer, so I don't know what is up with that.

I think CTD gets bad reviews because people don't pay attention to which warehouse their items are coming from. You clearly choose which warehouse your item is coming from, so by ording multiple items from multiple warehouses, yeah- you get charged twice for shipping. Pay attention people, and if you don't like the $5 shipping for a $4 item, DON'T order it. Smaller cheaper items with the high shipping cost are better bought locally.

I recommend CTD for guns or other high dollar items were you can save a lot of money. Just pay attention to the multi-warehouse shipping."

"I just ordered a Ruger 22lr semi auto and CTD shipped it to AZ in 1 day!!

I couldn't believe it! They had the best price around, and I felt that the web site was easy to navigate.

You can't pick an FFL in the checkout process, but instead you are encouraged to e-mail or fax. I e-mailed them, and called late in the afternoon to verify. They actually answered the phone and must have had caller id, because it sounded like an intelligent human being, not the drones I normally speak to with the phone company or other online stores. I was told that yes, everything looked good, and I should be receiving an email shortly with the tracking number!

It arrived the NEXT day from Louisiana! I didn't expect that! I only paid the standard shipping $10.99! I'll definitely look to CTD next time.

I've done a number of purchases with another huge online retailer, and in order to get the best price I send them a check (to save 3%) I think the last order took 3 weeks. No kidding, and yes it was in stock. They just drug their feet...5 days to verify the check, then 14 days to ship it...Cheaper than dirt is SO much faster! Thanks CheaperthandirT!

"WORST SERVICE EVER. My husband ordered a gun from you on 11/27 and we went to our local gun shop to have the FSL shipped on 12/2. We got an email from you saying you never got the fax, so we had them fax you again. I talked to FOUR people that Thursday. The last (very nice, possibly ONLY helpful person at your company) found the fax and walked it over to the persons desk who handles FSLs. On Sunday night, yet again we got another email from you that you still haven't gotten our fax. I called again and this time was given a woman's voicemail, so I left her a mssg about the issue. Never a call back. Four hours later I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was given to Kara, and she told me that our local gun shop sent expired paperwork to them. I got her direct line and extension so they could call her. I called the gun shop, and they left TWO voicemails for Kara that day. I also called Kara and left her another vm, which wasn't returned. On the following morning, I called Kara again. She said she got all of our voicemails, and she called the gun shop back and they were closed (we are on the west coast). She THEN tells me that the gun that we were charged for AND ordered TEN days prior is out of stock and they don't know when it will be back. This was the first and last gun order I will ever have with you. You have charged us, which should have reserved that gun for us. Instead 10 days later after I made 8 calls into you we find this out. WORST SERVICE EVER. I'm posting this same mssg as a review for your site any place I can."
