"When I ordered a box of checks, having read that a "box" contains 125 checks, I was surprised when my order arrived with only one pack of 30 checks. Upon calling the company, I was told "if would've went" with the choice to not get free shipping, I'd have received 125 checks, but because I chose free shipping, that order provides only 30. So I paid $8.58 for 30 checks? Pfffft, that being the case, I should have overpaid at my bank."

I routinely order a double order of personal checks, with carbons. The last time I ordered them, the first pack (I of 2) arrived, but the second pack never did. I spoke to a representative at Checkworks, who told me she didn't know what had happened but that she would make sure the second pack was sent out.
A couple weeks later, it did arrive, and I put the unopened pack my desk drawer. Fast forward a couple more months when I opened Pack #2 and discovered that they are duplicates of Pack #1! I called Checkworks and explained the problem. The representative is great! She gets the starting/ending check numbers all straightened out and tells me the correct checks will be sent right out.
They did arrive. But today, I discover that I was charged for a "new order" and the amount was deducted from my checking account. I called Checkworks (again) to clarify my last transaction with them. I do not know where the breakdown is over there, but I could not get thru to the rep that my last order was not a "new" order and I should not have been charged. We went back & forth a few times and she sharply asks, "So, are you looking for a refund?!" "YES!" I pray this is the last time I have to call them.
As long as I'm venting here: Checkworks now seems to be using inferior, more coarse paper in their checks."

"On October 11th I placed an order for a box of checks. My order was mailed out on October 15th. By October 28th my checks still hadn't arrived and according to the Checkworks representative they may arrive in a few days or maybe in two weeks. I order several books of checks for two separate businesses. I wasn't in a huge hurry, so I opted for standard free shipping, which at checkout said 10 business days.
After 10 days the checks hadn't arrived, so I called to check the status. They said it was 10 days AFTER the ship date, which had not yet occurred. While annoying and misleading I thought, ok fine, the checks will be on their way.
One order arrived in an over-stuffed envelope that had ripped in transport. The envelope had been taped, but the checks were sticking halfway out and not only were all my banking details exposed, the packing tape was stuck to the books of checks. On closer inspection, several of the books of 50 checks had duplicate check numbers, and a series of 50 check numbers was skipped completely.
The second order arrived a few days later, and thankfully was packed in a larger envelope, so it was not compromised. However, the same issue with duplicate check numbers applied to this batch, as well.
Overall quality of the checks is poor. Much cheaper product than the price charged.
I called customer service for a resolution and they said they could 1. reprint the whole batch, which would take who knows how long, because they couldn't guarantee delivery 2. send them all back for a refund, leaving me without needed checks, or 3. they would give me a coupon for my next order (I will NEVER order from them again).
Terrible all the way around. Wish I would have read the reviews from other shoppers prior to placing my order."
"They Sent my checks to someone in Texas. I got his and someone else's from NJ. I live in Wisconsin. Will not answer my emails. Cripes they have everyone's accounts numbers all over the place. Do not use them."
"They sent me a bill saying I didnt pay for my checks when really my bank just didnt recognise the charge and denied it. I paid this. Then, they informed me they put the zip code on wrong and I would have to pay for whole new checks to fix it. To top it all off when my checks arrived, they went to the completely wrong adress and there were no checks inside. Just deposit slips! Im done! I want a refund and Will be taking my business elsewhere! I went wothout checks to pay bills for a month because of these idiots! "
"My order arrived in a timely manner and upon opening the package, I was pleased with the overall appearance of the checks. However, upon closer inspection, I realized that the routing/account/check numbers are NOT printed as pictured online. There is nothing to indicate a break between the check number and the account number. My bank does not accept checks with this format, so I contacted customer service and requested a reprint, pointing out the fact that the format shown online was correct, and the checks I received did not follow that format. Their response was that they could reprint, but could not guarantee accuracy, due to the fact that I was unable to provide a check that was formatted correctly. I don't understand why the require a check from me, if their images online are the exact format I requested... Anyway, I then asked for a refund, so now I have to mail the checks back to them to receive the refund. I am really disappointed, as pricing is reasonable, and the checks do look nice, except for the formatting issue. "
"Take your business elsewhere! This is my first experience with this company. I WILL NOT use them again ever! I received "MY" checks today April 14, 2015, not bad considering their web site says to allow 2-4 weeks. I ordered my checks on April 1, 2015 (I should have known better than to order on April Fool’s Day!) The checks I received were for someone else in a different state even though the outside of the package had my name and address. Since I already had the other persons check order open I decided to give them a call (luckily the number was printed on the checks) to let them know I had their checks. That person received my checks and tomorrow we are going to mail them to each other. Thank goodness we are able to work this out and we’re both honest! I have contacted this company however you have to leave a message and wait for a return call (even during their business hour). I’ve been waiting for a call back for two hours, nothing so far. I will expect a full refund for the cost of my check order and reimbursement for my cost of mailing the checks I received in error to the rightful owner, at the very least! I wish I could give this company zero stars but the lowest it will let me give is one!"
