"Before Christmas, I ordered a Cuisinart food processor as a Christmas Gift for my daughter - it was scheduled to arrive before Christmas and was listed on their website. However, several days later, after it was too late to order another item for Christmas, they notified me that the item was out-of-stock and had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Today, I checked with Cuisinart and found out that it was untrue that the item had been discontinued, and I immediately ordered it from another vendor. Needless to say, I am not very happy with the service from Chef's Resource.
When I ordered the Cuisinart food processor, I wanted the DLC-2011, since this was the top-rated food processor in Consumer reports. The color was of secondary importance to me. The one that was ordered from Chef's Resource happened to be black, but the color was not important. After Christmas I telephoned Chef's Resource and they confirmed that this item had been discontinued. I asked if there was a replacement model for this 11-cup processor and they said that there was none. They never told me, as they should have, that it would be possible to buy it in a different color. They said at the time that only the 12 cup Elite models (which were considerable more expensive) were available. Today, I caalled Cuisinart directly and was told by their customer service representative that the DLC-2011 model had definitely NOT BEEN DISCONTINUED and was available in stainless steel among other possibilities. I suggest that Chef's Resource check with Cuisinart directly, since there is obviously a discrepancy in their perception and in the reality thatCuisinart told me today."
"Very fast turnaround time on orders, excellent selection of products, many of which are hard to find elsewhere, and very good prices. I'd use them a my first choice for cooking products if I lived west of the Rockies but living in the Great Lakes region means that it can take over a week for ground orders to get here."
"In December, I ordered a Nutrition Label Scale, Perfect Portions. It would not give the values for a particular
food that had been entered by the factory. I called Chef's Resource and explained by problem and to my surprise, the scale is going to be replaced free of charge. I am delighted that I will have a new scale soon and will be able to keep track of my various nutrients by the day. Thank you so much for handling my problem so quickly. My new order no. is 32719.

"I've been happy with the products and delivery from Chef's Resource in the past. I ended up canceling this order because the products were back ordered at least 6-8 weeks, and I needed them sooner than that. The only concern I have was that I had requested expedited handling (order shipped within 24 hours). I placed the order on Thursday evening, Dec. 30th, but didn't hear back that the items would be on back order until late the following Monday afternoon. So, I don't think I actually received expedited handling, possibly due to the New Year's Holiday, but still a bit disappointed there... "
