"I like a lot of the clothes offered by Chico's and they fit shoppers of a certain age who are not rail thin. The sizing conventions are maddeningly irregular. I wear a 0 to a size 2 in tops based on fabric type, whether its a tank or a blazer, just confusing.

Bottoms range from .5 to 1.5, and I can't make out much of a difference between the Petite sizes and the Short designation on pants. Many items are not available in Petite sizes so I just skip and shop at another boutique chain store that does a much better job of offering most items in Petite sizes."

"I'm basically a size 2 in Chicos funny sizing (size 12 regularly) but found some size 2 jeans are too small and some fit just right. Depends on where they were made, if one pair made in Thailand and 1 pair made somewhere else they are not size 2 identically. Had to send back 2 pair of sale girlfriends as far too tight and by that time there were no more 2.5's left to reorder. Disappointed. Tops seem to be more uniform, I take a size 1 in sweaters because chico sweaters run big and a size 2 in blouses and tops. Still a favorite place to shop on line."
