"On 10/12/2020 afternoon, I had gone into to Chico's to browse and to return 4 items that I purchased online. Prior to approaching the register, I quickly browsed around and had a question to a salesperson (Older Latina Lady) on the floor (she was the store mgr). She was unfriendly and snippy from the start, which I ignored. When I was in line waiting patiently to return my items, the manager was reprimanding the sales associate (Daisy) who was finishing ups another customer. Apparently, the manager asked Daisy what these items and receipts were sitting behind the counter. Daisy said a customer returned the items. Suddenly, the manager angrily scolded Daisy for taking the returns and that she was going to call Security due to the situation. The discourteous manager is on the phone with security and while Daisy was scanning my returns, Daisy said my items were "Final Sale." I had my receipt to show proof my items were NOT FINAL SALE! Daisy paused and said she will ask her manager when she gets off the phone. The manager overheard what Daisy said and without looking at my receipt, she sharply and with anger said, "I'm not taking back your items if 'FINAL SALE' just like the customers before you who made returns!!! Call the Corporate Office to take care of your returns!" Daisy appeared bewildered so before I left, I told the manager that she was being extremely unprofessional and rude and should not be insulting and reprimanding Daisy in front of customers and that I have been a Chico's shopper for 20+ years and would know if my items are Final or not. I told her I will be calling the Corporate Office regarding her belligerent attitude towards her employee and myself! After the incident, I called Chico's Customer Service and the person I spoke to took down my report and said she would forward it to the Corporate Office. Also, customer service checked my online order purchase and saw the items were returnable to the store and NOT FINAL SALE! The Customer Service Rep said the manager could have called Chico's customer service to check my purchases and that they could have done the returns over the phone as long as my items were with me. I've been a loyal Chico's customer for many years and I know the difference and the store policy for FINAL PURCHASES! The next day I returned to the Hillsdale Chico's store and Luisa (Asst mgr) quickly returned my items and confirmed they were not FINAL SALE items. "
