"Ordered a 1TB Spinpoint hard drive listed on the site. After waiting for 4 days (paid for 3 day shipping) I decided to call Chief Value. The rep told me that my order was canceled (on the site it was listed as prepped for shipping). I was not notified of this by email and needed the hard drive ASAP. Why would a part be listed as "In Stock" and charge my credit card if you don't have the inventory?! This was my first experience with Chief Value and because of it I will never order from them again."

"I realize that this is a Newegg company, however while all my experiences with Newegg have been positive all the items in my order from ChiefValue were defective.
I'm particularly displeased with the return of my defective computer case, of which shipping cost me more than 30% of the case's value to return. And that is regardless of whether or not I got a straight replacement or a refund. Why did this displease? Because in my estimation they should have paid to ship the garbage they sold me back.
But I guess they weren't all bad. They were incredibly gracious and kind and waved the burdensome restocking fee. What a great Gesture!! Saving me that $1.50 while making me pay a lot more for shipping really impressed upon me how fantastic a company they are!
Clearly I'll never order anything heavy from them again on the off-chance that I have to return it. And as for all my items being defective, I don't feel that that can really be blamed on ChiefValue. I just am not a fan of their return policy.
One thing I will say in ChiefValue's favor is that their shipping was incredibly quick."
"if you've ever checked out Newegg, this is essentially the same company with less selection. My shipment even came in a Newegg box. If you for some reason are unfamiliar with newegg, then just know that it is one of, if not the premier computer/electronics stores online. The processing took slightly longer than Newegg normally does (maybe it was just my order; only a day nonetheless), but shipping time was identical as it should be. Really, you can't go wrong with this site. "
