"I somehow got enrolled in their $15/mo membership program. They claimed I knowingly signed up but I do NOT enroll for programs, so it was so super fine print. Do NOT accept a rebate, membership, or rewards program!!! They only refunded part of the charges, basically what I would be able to contest with my payment method. I am so disappointed in this “Christian” company. Guess I’m going back to Amazon and Barnes and Nobel.

"We ordered a school curriculum and we received the wrong book. They apologized and resent the order and then resent the same wrong book again. Now we are two weeks late on the curriculum we need. They said they would send the order with two day shipping and now we get an email that they had their inventory wrong and they cannot fill the order at this time. We called to complain and their was no effort to correct the problem. They simply did not care and when we explained what happened and said we were going to leave a negative review they simply said "ok" with no apology or effort to rectify the problem. Very poor customer service. Very disorganized. This is the second time we've had problems with them listing inventory they don't actually have. We will not support this business again. They have lost us as a customer!"
"i think they used to be better... these past few years, i am receiving more and more books that are folded, damaged or crushed because of careless packaging, forcing books to fit into their smaller boxes. It's disappointing because often they have better pricing than the big A. i have contacted them in the past and they promptly replaced... however, tonight i got their smaller box again with about 8 various sized books all mashed in, 3 had damage (not shipping related) ... i don't want to call on this and have it replaced... it's embarrassing for both of us, I just want them to get it right. Not sure I'll order from them anymore... bummed. "

"If you order a book from Christian Book, you had better pray that it gets to you on time! I ordered a book my child needed for school on August 23. On August 26 I received an email that the book had been shipped and was given a tracking number. As of today, August 29 the US Postal Service has no record of the shipment. After emailing Christian Book I was first informed that the book would arrive on September 6! After I complained, I received another email indicating that it would arrive on September 4! Totally unacceptable that it should take 12 days to get a book from Massachusetts to Ohio! Avoid this reseller!"

"I order multiple items and paid for the expedite delivery. I was supposed to get the items deliver on 6/15 and when I call the company they decided to jump my order and told me that I will get my order 4 days later than expected. I told the lady that I paid expedite and she said that they couldn't do nothing that if I want I can decline the delivery or she can send me a shipping label.
At that moment I understood that I made the worst decision of ordering with this company. If I can recommend you something is do not purchase from this company. Your business is not important to them and their management don't care about you business. I even sent them an email to contact me to my personal email and I am still waiting for a respond. That tells you how important is for them."

"I recently placed an order with Christian Book Distributors and they completely messed up the order. The estimated shipping date was for the day after I placed the order, and it was supposed to arrive several days after it shipped. Instead, I waited for nearly two weeks for the order to ship (and I had to contact them first). I received an email the day after I contacted them from one of their representatives telling me that the order had shipped, but two days later I received an the shipping confirmation email, leading me to believe that they lied about shipping the order. And finally, when the order arrived several days after the second email telling me that my order had shipped, I opened the package to find that one of the items was missing, having been replaced with something that I did not order.
After receiving the shipment of incorrect items, I contacted them where they gave me the complete runaround through the course of several days and emails, and after I had told them multiple times that I would like a refund for the item that I did not receive and I would purchase the item somewhere where it would be less of a hassle, they repeatedly kept replying
"thanks for giving us another chance to make this right".
I gave them enough chances, I just want a refund but they refuse to comply and keep giving me the run around. "
