"Like everyone else here, I got scammed too. I thought I was getting a good deal, but as they say, if it seems too good to be true, it must be!
I'm out $150, but the frustration with dealing with these people - how can they sleep at night?
I spent a lot of time researching them, and it looks like they did it before. It appears that a "Michael John (last name edited)" ran an online shoe scam under the names Lord John's Footwear and My Shoe Store. So ComfortShoesNY.com has the same address as a store called Lord John's Bootery. I first thought that Comfort Shoes was using a false address, but then found out that a "John (edited last name)" owns the Lord John's Bootery store in New York. Coincidence? Or the same person?
Why can people like him get away with scamming people? Why isn't he in jail? "
"Same story - credit card charged immediately, no shoes, emails, promise of credit but no credit. I sent an email to aaafooting.com [see Bostonlover's comments, below]; will have to see whether that gets a reply.
8/27 Did get a reply from aaafooting.com, directing me to the retail store also mentioned in Bostonlover's posting; we'll see..."
"WOW...what a scam! I guess I am just way to trusting, NOT ANYMORE!!! I ordered a pair of Wolkly shoes for my wife on 02/25/2010 and when they told me it wasn't going to ship until late march we cancelled the order which was already paid in full...$150.00. After 12 email requests over the past 6 months BEGGING for the refund, I guess i'm just SOL. As I see here with over 100 complaints, i guess i'm not alone. Sure wish there was something we could do, i feel so helpless and defeated. "
"I received a pair of Archipedico shoes which were a different color than I expected. I requested a return authorization and shipped them back for a credit. When I did not receive a prompt credit I tried to call them. there was no answer. I then requested a credit via email but was told it would take 30 days. It is now late July and I still have no credit and no response. Therefore I have just filed a dispute with my credit card company. This company needs to be put out of business apparently. I only wish I had known this before ever dealing with them."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!! I ordered shoes in January and after 2 months of "so called delays", I finally asked for my refund and have not heard from them since. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and found that they had 29 other complaints! This PLACE IS A COMPLETE FRAUD!!! "Ordered some shoe inserts in December but I never got the product. They have no phone so I emailed and they replied that the product was delayed and would arrive in about 3 weeks. I could wait or I could cancel at any time. I finally did in April but I haven't gotten a refund nor do they answer my emails. I am out $101. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!"
"I ordered some shoes for my mother last December. They had not been shipped by 1/16/2010, so I emailed requesting a status. On 1/19/2010, they indicated the shoes were out of stock but would be shipped on 1/29/2010. They charged me for the shoes when I placed the order and since I pay my credit card in full every month, I paid for the shoes prior to 1/29/2010. I never received the shoes, and I cannot get them to credit my account for the $112. They have acknowledged that I should have never been charged and keep telling me it should be taken care of in 7-10 days. After 6 months, I am still fighting them for a refund. As far as I am concerned they are crooks."
"I ordered a pair of Dansko clogs on Feb. 14th and received an e-mail that they would be shipped in 4-7days. When I did not recieved them, I e-mail costumer service requesting a status update and they responded quickly stating they were back ordered and would be shipped within 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, still no shoes, I e-mailed them again and got the response they would be shipped directly from the distrubutor and should recieve by mid March. Waited again, emailed again, and again quick response stating they would be shipped within 2 weeks. I went on vacation, came back and sent e-mail to cancel the order and have sent 3 more e-mails and made 2 phone calls leaving a message. As everyone else dealing with this company, I have not heard any response back. It seems they only respond to e-mails when you are checking the status of an order."
"This is an absolute scam!!! I purchased a pair of dansko shoes on 2/26/10 and was charged 101.99 right away. I looked online numerous times because it had been weeks and no shoes were shipped. My online receipt still (to this day) says will ship in 2-3 weeks. I tried to cancel my order, in fact I probably sent 10 different emails, and no response from the company. I filed a complaint with the BBB a month ago, the complaint was sent to the company, and again nothing. I shop online very frequently, and have never experienced such a terrible fraud. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE EVER!!!! IT IS A SCAM!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BUSINESS ETHIC!!!! After all of this I tried to dispute the charge on my credit card, but it had been over 60 days, and now I can't. You can't tell me that after hearing all these complaints, that this isn't a scam. I am very angry, and am going to continue to try to get my shoes or my money!!!! If nothing else, I want to tell EVERYONE possible my situation, so NO one will make the same mistake that I did. "

I too made the mistake of ordering shoes from this company. Was able to get free shipping and a discount. Order two pairs of shoes, both put on back order. Emailed them on 03/11/10 and received a reply that the shoes would be shipped 03/22/10.
Did not received shoes so sent another email 04/09/10. Got a very snappy reply stating that I should have received one pair of shoes and the others would be coming later. Did received one paid of shoes and as of this date have not received the second paid. I have emailed this company at least 10 times and have not received a reply, in fact have not heard anything from them since April. I have paid for two pair of shoes and have only received one pair. I have requested that the second pair of shoes be cancelled and my money refunded - so far no response even though I send an email every other day. If anyone has suggestions on how to get your money back it would be appreciated. I do a lot of online shopping and I have never had this kind of trouble."
"BUYER'S BEWARE! Oh how I wish I had the good sense to read the reviews BEFORE ordering. Same story as everyone else. I ordered a pair of Danskos on March 16 and my credit card was charged on the 17th. I thought I was getting such a good deal saving $18 off my bill for ordering over a certain amount... AND free shipping. Well, still no shoes after almost 3 months and after canceling my order, no refund. The first 2 emails they actually answered and shipment was promised within 2 weeks(that was 2 months ago). The last 5 have gone unanswered and no phone number that I can find on the website. I have contacted my credit card company hoping to get my refund through them. How is this company still in business? I have never had this problem with ordering online before. I hope everyone reads these reviews before ordering because this is NO DEAL! "
"FOLLOW UP. Reported it to Discover on 6/10/10 and on 7/15/10 my account was credited.
Too bad I did not check this page but I had had good luck with Onlineshoes.
Order 3/7/10, creditcard charged right away.
No shoes by 5/4/10, several e-mails.
I cancelled 5/4/10, more e-mails and asked for acknowlegement. No answer.
Last request to-day and if nothing I will report them.

"I will never use this merchant again. I placed my order on Feb 28, rec'd only one message telling me the order would be shipped in 4-7 days. In late March, no order and no word from the company. There is no phone #, but they state that they will respond rapidly to e-mails. I had to send several over a period of days to get a response. Sorry, order backordered, didn't bother to tell me. This happened several times and I didn't get my order until mid-April, with poor communication all the way. One of my very worst online shopping experiences. "
