"Same story for me. Ordered shoes in Feb, no shoes, card charged right away, no refund. I spoke with someone at the NY AG, and they said they're investigating this company for running a scam. I had done some digging and found a similar company with similar complaints (Google Lord Johns Footwear) and the same address, and asked the NY AG if it's the same person under a different company name. They told me that they were aware of the similarities and that it's part of their investigation, but said he couldn't discuss more details. But he said they would try to help me get my money back! Buyer beware!

Update 6/22/2010 - I just tried to reach them again and they're website is offline. Hopefully Yahoo Stores took them offline after all the complaints! I found their phone number online in their yelp listing under "Lord John's Bootery." It's ***-***-****.

I guess they have a real store, but run a scam online? I hope this helps a lot of other people like me! Here's the listing: yelp.com/biz/lord-johns-bootery-new-york

UPDATE: Found them online under a new name! www.aaafooting.com is their new website! Thankfully I printed out their entire site once I had problems, and my copies of their privacy policy and some other pages are identical. Also, like with their old site, this new one doesn't list a phone number. This one doesn't even list an address! DON'T GET SCAMMED AGAIN!

"SCAM!!!!!! I purchased a pair of shoes on January 1 2010 my credit card was charged on January 5, i have never received my shoes. I contacted them and was told there were on back order,3 months later I requested a refund and was promised a credit to my card. Guess what it is almost June no credit and now nobody will answer my e-mails."

"SCAM,SCAM,SCAM! I ordered from them on 4-20-10, they charged my credit card on 4-21-10 and guess what I have not heard from them since. I sent emails daily for a while....no response, no working phone number and no shoes. No my credit card has to try to get my money back. TOTALLY DISGUSTED."

"I ordered 1 pair of Danskos on 3-17-10. I first email this company on 3-25-10 inquiring about the order. They replied on 3-27-10 saying the shoes were still back ordered and should be sent out by 4-2-10. I emailed them again on 4-8-10 asking about order and I asked for a telephone number to contact them. They responded on 4-9-10 saying shoes should be delivered in the next 12 days and they gave me a telephone number. I called them on 4-21-10 and asked for a refund and followed it up with an email asking wnen I could expect a refund. They have never responded. I emailed them again today 4-21-10 and tried to call. The phone number is no longer in service. I could really use the money and shame on me for not looking into this company. They are at best a company that is about to go under. I am guesing they already have. I can not believe they are still on the internet. I am wondering if they are still taking unsuspecting persons money and not delivering product. Shame on them. Next stop Better Business Bureau. "

"Should have Googled this company before ordering :/
Same story as everyone else--Ordered and paid for shoes 3/2--will ship in two weeks...Two weeks later--will ship in another two weeks...Emailed on 4/30 to cancel/ No response. Same thing 5/3 an 5/5. Filed BBB complaint and Credit Card dispute.

"I AM SO FURIOUS AT THIS COMPANY!!! I ORDERED SHOES IN EARLY FEBUARY, AFTER A MONTH THEY HAD NOT ARRIVED SO I CANCELLED, THEY DID NOT REFUND MY CREDIT CARD AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD INSTEAD SEND A CHECK BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS WITH THEIR CREDIT CARD SYSTEM - VERY SHIFTY. "like every one else, same story, ordered shoes on april l5,2010. i was told via email shoes would be shipped by 5/310. when they did not appear i emailed an inquiry, several times. i never got an answer. i contacted BBB and my credit card company for help. so far i have not gotten any satisfaction. the phone # is a phoney also. i hope they are reading this. the internet police should be after them. i would like for yahoo to take them off before anyone else gets cheated. will let you know if i hear anything "

"Same problem as a lot of other folks. Ordered shoes April 7, they charged my credit card immediately. The status continues to say will ship in 1-2 weeks. They responded to my first email saying they billed me in anticipation of the order being shipped, which I thought was a bit unusual, to say the least. I emailed them again on May 1 asking for an update on the status of my order. No response. I then finally sent them an email on May 3 canceling my order and asking for acknowledgment of the cancellation and requesting a refund. I have never received a response from them regarding the cancellation and I sent them two more emails on May 6. They have never responded. The status still says "will ship in 1-2 weeks" and there is no refund on my credit card as of today. I called the phone number listed for them on my credit card bill and there was a message from a woman saying to email them or leave a voicemail message. Unsurprisingly, the voice mailbox was full. I'm going to dispute the charges through my credit card company. In the meantime, I ordered a pair of shoes directly through Birkenstock and they arrived within a week of ordering. Yes it cost $10 more but at least I have some shoes now. I don't see how a company like this stays in business, since apparently they have been conducting themselves this way for quite awhile."

"Well as far as I stand now with this company....I believe they are just out to rip people off. Their business ethics are lacking.It surprise me that they are still on line..!!
I order my shoes on April.21,10. money was taken out of my credit card the same day.Which I did think was strange.
I was under the understanding that the shoes would be delivered in one-two weeks.On the second week my daughter changed her mind. I try to cancel the order. no reply. I have sent many email still no reply... They are just out to rip people off . what else am I to think? They have my money ,and I have no response.
Believe me this is not over...I still want my money back.
One thing I have learnt before using any internet web site check out the consumer reports...BBB rate them as a F..that really bad...

"I have been trying to get the credit to my credit card since February 2010,after I return the order. I am also waiting on the credit for order #26952 that I cancelled due too a delay on delivery.I received an e-mailtelling me that the company was sorry and my credit card should never been charge for order #26952 and my information would be sent back to their billing department.This has been a very trying experience.You can only contact the company by e-mail. Very nice e-mails, but very bad customer service. "

"I purchase a pair of shoes on April 06. They billed me the total amount on my credit card the same day and sent me an e-mail telling me that my shoes will be shipped in 2-3 weeks. One month letter, still no shoes and still not updates on my order. I sent them an e-mail on May 03, 2010. Their web site says they are responding to e-mails within one day or the next business day. This is totally false. It is today May 11, and I still didn't get the information I wanted. I called my credit card compagny to dispute the charge. PLEASE don't order from this web site again. It is a scam and there is no service. I which I had order my shoes from another website. I would have got them by now. "

"This website is a scam. There is no telephone number, no address, no contact information. Only an e-maill address which they do not respond to. Order was done over a month ago and still nothing and no response. I'm filing with the bbb, credit card company and cancelling order. They should be shut down and warning to people not to use them."
