"Same as everyone else. Ordered shoes, keep getting email saying the product will ship in the next week or so. By the time I was finally fed up with waiting, I tried canceling, and haven't heard back from them since. Worst company ever!!!! "
"If you want to feel scammed and taken for a ride, this is the company to do business with. Same story as everyone else. Ordered shoes, didn't receive them, was given some story, I cancelled order and requested refund, was told I would be credited on 2 occasions, never got my dinero back. Chose not to deal with this company anymore. Filed a quick report on BBB and made a quick phone call to my credit card company. My credit card company is going to refund us and deal with this "business"."
"There is a bad pattern here and I wish I would have sent this site before ordering my shoes. I followed up and was told that they would be delivered in a few weeks, and now, over one month and two unanswered emails later, still no word. I wrote to ask for a refund and have not heard back. BUYER BEWARE...they have the lowest price but I'd rather pay a little more to get the product timely. I plan to take formal action."
"My experience is pretty much the same as everyone else. On 3/2/10 I ordered a pair of shoes from comfortshoesny.com. My Visa Debit was immediately charged $110.49. I received a confirmation email stating my order would be shipped in 4-7 days. On about 3/15/10 I called the company and was told the shoes were on back order and it would another 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks, I still had not received the shoes so I emailed them. On 4/8/10, still no shoes or word from the company. Requested cancellation of the order and a refund. I received a reply on 4/9/10 stating my order was canceled and would refund my money. After subsequent follow-up emails and phone calls and promises from them to expedite my refund, I still haven't received my refund. I've reported them to the BBB and Yahoo Abuse (since they are hosted by Yahoo). It appears that they are not a legitimate website/store."
"Comfort Shoes NY followed their typical M.O. with my order. I ordered a pair of Dansko's on 1/30/10. Emailed them several times over the next 2 months inquiring as to what was taking so long. Each time I was told that they were expecting a shipment in the next few days, and that my order would ship in the next 2 weeks. Finally on March 23rd they emailed me saying the shoes were no longer available at which time I cancelled the order. They emailed saying they would credit my Visa card. A week later, no credit, so I emailed again. They said they would "submit another request to the billing department" A week later, still no credit. I emailed again and was told they couldn't credit my card due to their "systems issues" and that they would mail me a check. The old "the check's in the mail" routine has turned out to be a lie, and now Comfort Shoes NY will not return my emails. I have emailed them 3 times in the past week asking when my check will be mailed, and no reply. I have filed complaints with the BBB, the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection, and the Internet Crime Complaint Center, and am persuing recourse through my credit card company. I encourage you to do the same if you are one of the numerous people who have been ripped off by Comfort Shoes NY."
"I ordered a pair of Blundstones on January 26th, and saw nothing on the website to indicate they were not in stock. After 10 days or so I followed up and learned they were "awaiting a shipment from the distributor", expect delivery Mid-March. Mid-March comes and another 2 week delay. 2 weeks later, another delay. 2 weeks later, another delay. Today, another 2 week delay. I don't think they really want to fill the order - they are probably hoping I will cancel. Funny thing, shortly after I placed the order there was a $200 fraudulent charge (Macy's East) to the same credit card. Makes me wonder if that is their scam - maybe they get the customer's credit card number and buy a Macy's gift card. Then they delay, delay, delay - hoping the customer cancels. If the customer doesn't ever cancel, then they go to Macy's and buy and ship the shoes. Just my suspicion - no proof at this point - but would be curious if anybody else has a similar experience. I just can't imagine they can legitimately be making money if they treat all their customers like this. I think they are a scam."
"Same as everyone else. I ordered a pair of Dr. Martens, they had the best price. I got an email the next day saying it would take several weeks because of a backorder, then today I get an email saying they are no longer available. Any respectable company wouldn't let you order something unless they had it in stock, or made you aware that it was a backordered item before the order was placed. Definitely make your purchases somewhere else."

This was their response "Thank you for the notification. Your orders have been canceled. Our billing department is processing a refund in the amount of $229.48 which will be applied to your Discover ending in 3601. "
What a disappointment with false hopes that they would honestly refund my Discover credit card as they promised.
I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacting my credit card company as well. VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER.
UPDATE : I have contacted my credit card company (DISCOVER) and they are working diligently with me in recovering my money from this scamming company. I want to know WHY the BBB is not putting them out of business. Through some investigation I have noticed that COMFORT SHOES NY also uses

"My story is very similar to the ones I just read. Placed an order Jan 3, 2010. Was told my shoes would be delivered in 1-2 weeks. After I e-mailed on Feb 4 asking when I would receive them I was sent a message that said availability has been low. Our next replenishment shipment will be arriving on 2/26. On March 14 having not heard anything more I cancelled my order and asked for my money back. They said it would take 7 - 10 business days. Here it is April 7 and I have not received a credit. I guess the next step is to contact my credit card company and better business. Very disappointing."
"Same story here. I ordered a pair of Dansko Professionals for a birthday present for my son on March 9; my card was charged on 3/10 with a ship promise of 4-7 days. On 3/18 with no shoes in sight, I emailed and was given a later ship date and I decided to cancel.
I bought another pair for my son's birthday (belated) at another longtime respected merchant and he had the shoes in 3 days.
I have not yet seen my refund and have emailed again today. We'll see what happens. I will probably have to let American Express and BBB take care of this."
"I purchased a pair of Dansko Petrol open back clogs in February 2010 and by mid-March 2010 the right heel was squeeking, clicking every time I walked. I have emailed this company 3 times w/no response. I believe there is a defect in the foot bed of the clog and have asked what I need to do to start the defective product process. I would like a replacement pair sent but have had NO RESPONSE to my multiple inquiries. I would much rather deal w/a reputable company w/someone I can talk to. BUYER BEWARE!!!"
