"This order was placed in April and my credit card was charged on April, 23, 2009 for this item. Week after week, I was told that this item was being shipped, but it never arrived. After numerous emails to Comfort shoes N.Y. inquiring about the status of my shoes, I was given a new shipping date. Today, July 8th, I received an email that this item was no longer available. This has gone on since April. I had cancelled the credit card that was used for this item and had contacted them about this several times as they will need the new number in order to issue me the credit. I am still waiting to hear from them. In the meantime, I am out #101.99 and am totally frustrated with this Vendor.
If I don't hear from them shortly, I am going to report them to the Better Business Bureau and/or the Fraud department.
Warning! Be very careful when ordering from this website.
It is now July 14th and still have not received that refund check that they said they had issued.
Just wanted to inform you that I finally received my refund on July18,2009. I just wish that the vendor had let me know in April that these shoes weren't available and/or removed them from the website, instead of all the emails giving me a new shipping date that never materialized. At this point, I'm happy to have received my money back."

Comfort Shoes NY. I ordered shoes in April that were listed as "in stock". I was charged on 4/26/09 for my order. I waited two weeks for a shpping confirmation and then queried them via email and was told my order would ship early May. By mid-May I finally had to buy other shoes for my European trip. I queried them again mid-May and was told they would ship in the next 2-3 days. I returned mid-June from my trip to find that the shoes STILL had not shipped.
I finally cancelled my order 6/19/09 and was told that the credit to my card would post in 2-3 days. It is now 7/2/09 and Comfort Shoes still has not posted a credit. I am at the point where I will have to dispute the charge with my credit card company."

After 2 months of this I finally cancelled the order and was promised a refund in 2-3 days. They never refunded my credit card- and now I have filed a complaint with the credit card company. "BEWARE! My experience with comfortshoesny.com is the worst I ever had with internet purchasing. I placed my order on April 24, my credit card was billed on May 5, today (June 26) no shipment and no response to my e-mails about order cancellation. During past two months of waiting I had to e-mail the company several times, because even though they have an on-line system to check the status of the order, it never gets updated. E-mail is the only way to communicate with them and not every e-mail was answered. For 2 months this company lied to me about sending my order “early next week”, “by June 15” and so on. In their last two e-mails they did not even bother to apologize for the delay and the problems they caused by charging me for the shoes I never got. I hope that filing a complaint to BBB will help to get my money back and I will be able to get a pair of summer shoes elsewhere, even though summer is almost half-over."

Ordered 0n 06 June, delivery promised "within 2 Weeks." On 26 June 09, still no shoes. Unlike most online resellers, they don't list a phone number. Sad really, because after more than a 20 days wait sent my "please respond" emails. Days later they responded and refunded by credit card, which had been charged despite the fact they hadn't shipped the shoes. Shoddy way to run a business, and they owe their customers a listed phone number to quickly respond to Customer concerns!

"I do a lot of online shopping. but my recent experience with comfortshoesny.com has left me wary of ever purchasing from small, unknown retailers in the future. I feel that I was basically ripped off as my credit card was charged on April 21st but as of June 17th, my shoes had not been shipped to me. I was told in repeated e-mails that they would be shipping first on 5/18, then June 12th, and then June 17th. When June 17th rolled around without receiving shipping notification, I finally cancelled my order. (Who knows if I’ll actually ever get my money back.) "I am going to add to the very bad reviews this company seems to be getting a lot of. I ordered two pair of slippers on April 10th,did not hear anything for a few weeks, emailed them and got a very delayed response. Finally received the first pair of slippers a month later. I was told the next pair would ship 4-7 days later and they never showed. I emailed them for the third time on June 3rd, told them I was very upset at the poor customer service(I am in custom service myself) was sent a generic email stating they would ship in 2-3 days and as of June 19th, NO slippers! I am going to email them one more time and if I am not either sent my slippers or refunded properly I will also report them to Better Business Bureau and Yahoo. Maybe they should revisit the idea that bad reviews travel twice as fast and reach twice as many people then good reviews."

"NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I placed order for Ecco shoes on 4/15/2009 and I have a slew of emails where they were slow to respond, then kept putting me off, saying the shoes were back-ordered. Finally on 6/03 they admitted they couldn't provide the shoes and would credit me. Today is 6/13 and it's not in my debit acct yet. Told them I'm a waitress and can't afford to buy elsewhere til I'm refunded. This Co. just keeps your money as long as they can- No ph. # to reach them at. "I too experienced this retailer not completely resolving the discrepancy in my order. I was assured in an email from them 5/25/09 that I would be refunded in full, after not receiving the items I ordered way back on 3/23/09. This never happened. I emailed them again 6/2 and was assured that I would be refunded in full and that it would take 2-3 days to post. It's been over a week, and it still hasn't happened. In this age of declining retail sales and challenging business environment, one would think that this company would bend over backwards to provide impeccable customer service. I am extremely disappointed that I am having to continue wasting valuable time and energy trying to retrieve my money.
