"Very nice price, excellant service, way above and beyond and personable and fast!
Great quality and shipped and arrived perfectly in nice condition well packed, just as promised on time!"
"This was THE WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE I have EVER had in my life.
I ordered a $100 sound card. The card was not even put in a box. IT WAS DROPPED INTO A BAG AND HAD A SHIPPING LABEL ATTACHED TO IT. 10+ pins were bent. The card frame WAS BENT AT A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. Capacitors were bent 90 degrees. The card is absolutely destroyed. This is NOT the fault of UPS. ComputerHQ is an AWFUL company with even worse shipping standards.
This entire ordeal is 100% disgusting. I feel physically ill because of how poorly ComputerHQ stepped up to the plate.
Avoid them at EVERY POSSIBILITY.
October 5th, 2007 update:
I have been completely scammed.
I was never reimbursed the money from the RMA. So now I am out $100 AND the broken hardware. I sent a very detailed report to them including many printed photographs detailing the damage. I've learned my lesson and I will stick to honest resellers even if they don't always have exactly what I want."
"long RMA processor. I called to lessen confusion and it ended up creating more."
"Well, a bit of mixed peanuts.
Order went well, took 5 business days for them to ship my order, got my item 5 days later.
Shipping was expensive, even for a small item. They really need to introduce some free or reduced shipping incentives, if they want me back again.
Since the tracking # isn't automatically shown, at least not in my case, I had to call to get the tracking #. The menu was a bit confusing, and they had an heavy accented voice on one of the menus, that to this day, I have no idea what she was saying.
After finally getting to talk to someone, I got my tracking #, but when I asked about why it took 5 days to process & ship my order, the support guy became unfriendly, pretty quickly.
Overall, I feel if they would find a way to auto update the tracking for all orders, get the orders out in a reasonable 2-3 business days, and gave better shipping costs, I would gladly come back."
"I bought 2 Intel XEON processors from this company. I have had no problems with the hardware. This company sold my email address to spammers and am now receiving spam every day to my address. I know this because I use a unique address for every merchant that I buy from. Would not buy from again."
"I placed an order for Corsair XMS TWINX2048RE-3200 memory - at the time of the order, the memory was shown as being in stock. Later that same evening I received an email from ComputerHQ sales indicating that the item was no longer in stock, but was expected to be available around the end of the week. I agreed to continue with the order and requested an update if further delays were encountered. I was contacted both by phone and email the following day by ComputerHQ reps with an updated ETA (which had slipped from Friday to the following Monday). They also offered a discount on the shipping cost to make up for the delay. (I thought this was a decent gesture - the memory was going to be drop-shipped from the manufacturer, so ComputerHQ really had no control over any delays.)
As it turned out, the manufacturer was unfortunately in the process of discontinuing this product line, and I was again contacted by ComputerHQ to let me know that the order could not be fulfilled even via drop shipment. The sales rep then provided the part number for another DIMM from Corsair's current product line, indicating that it would be equivalent to what I was originally trying to order. (I subsequently contacted Corsair and confirmed that the rep's suggestion was indeed Corsair's recommended substitute for the original memory, and that it would be fully compatible.) As the replacement was not currently in stock with ComputerHQ, I ended up purchasing it from a different vendor, but I appreciated the sales rep's initiative in locating the substitute part.
While my order was ultimately unsuccessful, I was very pleased with ComputerHQ's sales staff - I was kept in the loop throughout, and they were pleasant and professional both in email and on the phone. Based on my experience, I would consider using them in the future."
"I had been looking quite some time for a particular scanner. Many sites would take my order and then send me an automated email informing me that they were out of stock. Computer HQ, however, sent me a personal email and later a phone call to explain that they had one that was in good condition but had a small mark on the packaging. They assured me that if the scanner was defective, the warranty would cover it. I received both scanners promptly and they are both working well. And, by the way, the price was right"
"Ordering @computerhq.com was a pleasent thing. I was able to get the desired product, the payment went very well, and the shipping was right-on-time. "
"Ordered 3/30, item delivered 4/3. 2 business days as requested. "
"Fraudsters. I ordered an ASUS A8V Deluxe, they shipped the much less expensive and unsuitable A8V. Now they are trying to charge me a 15% restocking fee for their error. I will be filing a complaint with the FCC for interstate fraud."
"I purchased a set of computer speakers that were to be a Christmas gift. Christmas came and the speakers were hooked up, and they did not work. I have e-mailed this company 2x with no response to my e-mails, and I still have useless speakers. I have also taken the extra step to make a report to the BBB."
"PLEASE do not order anything from these people! They are thieves. I wish I had read the reviews on this site before I ordered from them. The Airport Extreme Base Station they shipped was defective. I requested a RMA# from them on their web site to return it for an exchange twice within one week and never heard from them. I waited another week and called 2 of their customer service numbers and could not even talk to a human, I had to leave a message which was NEVER returned. I contacted my credit card company to stop the transaction and am contacting the Better Business Bureau and Internet Fraud Complaint Center to report them. This company should not be in business with all the negative feedback they have. I hope people will see this before they order from this company. I will not recommend them to anyone, they are a very bad company. BEWARE! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! "
"Their stock system is completely useless. It's just some shared supplier mega database that is used by a bunch of low end e-closet merchants and is never updated. I placed an order for an "Instock: YES" pair of OCZ ram sticks. Today I get a cancellation notice that I am SOL. Not only are the sticks still listed as instock, but the price is 10% higher. Odd how they updated the price, but not the availability.
If you run a website with online availability, and don't know how to keep it updated realtime, you are wasting everyones time including your own and are not competetive in the market space you think you are in.
Not only should you avoid ComputerHQ, but all the same cookie cutter wanna-be sites that use the same mikey mouse template they got in their "Start an online business today!" kit they ordered from someone that knows how to run a website. If you actually want the items you buy, order from the many other competetive sites that not only have realtime availability, but it actually works."
"i'd ordered from computerHQ once in 2001, which was quick and flawless, although given the packaging the LCD arrived in and the fact that it made a high pitch whine and died a month later and had to be RMA'd with NEC leads me to believe, especially after this experience, that maybe the monitor wasn't new when i received it..
i decided to go with them again, since they have a nice site, i remembered them and they had the Turion chip i wanted in stock at a lower price than other stores. the first problem (not their fault) was when the CC was denied, called the CC company and they claimed i set off some fraud-protection algorithm (probably from ordering >$1000 of stuff from 3 diff online stores within a few minutes of eachother). so they unblocked it, and calling computerHQ they said they would re-run the order. sure enough, later that day it was marked in the status as 'shipped'.
fast forward a week. the order still says 'shipped, wait tracking number'. then all of a sudden the status changes to 'availability check'. after 5 days of hanging at this status i decide to call again, the nice fellow on the phone says 'i checked your "sales notes" and she says she can't find this in stock anywhere'. well why is it showing 5 are in stock on the site? and why did you try to run a charge if you couldnt find it anywhere? and why did you also falsify the shipping status? screwing around with your customer's time like this is just pointless.
btw, i ordered the other 'eggs' for my 'new' notebook somewhere else, and even without the rush option and cheapest shipping, they arrived the next day, from 3 states away!"
"I placed the order on a saturday night, expected the order would ship monday, payed for 2-day shipping.... but order did not get shipped until wednesday and to make things worse this company REQUIRES fedex to get a signature, so if you have a release form its no good. So now I have to wait until monday to get this order, such a f^*$&@( hassle.
Should have gone with newegg."
