"I ordered 4 memory cards from this store (256MB PC133 SDRAM) - the cards arrived in a small manila envelope with bubbled inside and the cards were loose inside an anti-static bag. I tried all 4 cards and my computer would not even boot up. I ended up putting back my original memory cards back into my PC. I e-mailed CMS and I got an RMA# from "Alex S" and returned the cards UPS with a proof of signature and I know the cards were received. I sent an e-mail with UPS confirmation of delivery - but have yet to get a response on my return. I would highly NOT RECOMMEND using this site to purchase any products. Their customer support has been unresponsive. "
"Every company is great when you get exact what you want you when you want it. However, a truly great company's mark is how they react when an order goes wrong.
Unfortunately, for the ComputerMemoryStore I had to contact the www.BBB.org before they would sort out their issues. I have never had to do this before, and dreaded the fact that I was left no other option.
I ordered a 320 GB 7200 RPM Toshiba SATA laptop drive on November 4th, 2008. After about 15 days of waiting I tracked it down and found that it had been delivered to somewhere in Montana. I live in Maryland. I sent computermemorystore an email explaining this and John T replied with this, "Another customer received you're package by accident. We will be reshipping today." This is where my trouble began.
At this point I wanted to cancel the order and move on. I sent numerous emails and called the sales line to no avail. I didn't know what was happening. I never received a new shipping invoice, email, nothing.
Anyway on December 22nd, a month after they they ship out something out that day, I receive a hard drive I no longer wanted.
I tried to RMA the drive 3-4 times with no response. Finally, I contacted BBB, and then received an immediate response from Alex S, "By mistake your hard drive was sent to your address and delivered on December 22nd." Issue resolved, but now I wonder whose drive did I get?
I never fully opened the package so I am not sure if I even received what was ordered. The packaging in which the hard drive arrived was packaged in a bubble envelope inside a second bubble envelope. This leads me to believe that the drive is mostly likely a re-shelved or a refurbished drive.
I implore you to read the other unsatisfied comments before you purchase from this company. I personally believe that this is some guy and his buddy's second job that is right out of the basement. I called the main number a dozen times and never once got a warm body much less a return call."
"I ordered from FlashMemoryStore.com which is the same as ComputerMemoryStore.com so I put the rating here. The purpose of my order was to provide extra disk space for my system for music, videos, pictures, etc.
This order and my only other order before (97469) were both external USB hard disks. My most recent order was for a EXT-FW250 (http://www.computermemorystore.com/firewire250gb.html) which was supposed to have a Hitachi 250GB 7200 rpm 8MB cache disk inside, but instead it came with a Western Digital 2500BB-98DWA0 which I think is a refurb, and it only has 2MB cache.
My prevous order was for a EXT-FW80 (http://www.computermemorystore.com/firewire80gb.html), and I am not sure of the specs besides being a Hitachi 80GB disk, but it contained a Western Digital 0BB-00JHa0 which appears to be some sort of "white label refurb disk". I suspect it has lower specs as well.
When I ask their support about this, they tell me to send it back. They say they can't take any responsibility for shipping without insurance, but they won't cover it. However, after several queries, they completely avoid answering the question about why I am getting a refurn disk from a different manufacturer. I am posting this information to this web site because I am concerned they may be selling cheap refurb disks to unsuspecting customers. I think this is illegal, but who knows nowdays.
I am not a satisfied customer. I am not even sure I am a customer since they didn't give me what I ordered."
"Easy to use web site with fast shipping, I got my product in time and it was exactly what I ordered. I will recomend Computer-Memory-Store.com to my friends to use when they will need any type of memory."
" Memory worked straight away. Same memory and manufacturer that came with the laptop."
"I ordered and purchased a replacement harddrive with 40gb/5400rpm/8mb cache specification. I received it a few days later and received a 40gb/4200rpm/2mb harddrive. I contacted the seller and told me it was their error and told me the drive is just as fast and wanted to give me a $10 store credit. I said no and wanted to get the specified drive I ordered and paid for. Haven't heard since. I'm sure they think I'm a naive computer customer and won't know the difference in hardware. This store is a scam and falsely advertises their harddrives they sell. Check the part numbers and you will see that you don't get what you pay for. They will send you an lower or inferior model. Don't buy from this store. They're crooks. I am contacting the BBB and all seller's ratings to warn to consumers."
"One of the easiest online purchases I have ever made. Also website was great in telling what type of memory I needed as this computer is so old I had no clue. Thanks again"
"This merchant sent me what I bought in the time promised. I had no occassion or need to contact customer support since the transaction was totally satisfactory and I would buy from this merchant again and would recommend them to others"
"There is no invoice number, only order number, which I provided above. I purchased two 128MB SDRAM memory chips from Computer-Memory-Store.com on August 5, 2005. I received them on August 9, 2005, after nstallation my computer did not work at all. So I sent an e-mail to their tech support.
after 24 hours, I received no reply, so I sent another then another, finally after one week, I requested an RMA number so I could return them. Still received not reply, so I sent them back U.S.mail return receipt requested ( which cost me $8.00 to send) The total cost of the purchase was $52.00, less $2.00 for insurance, so I am due back $50.00. I received the return receipt signed, so that shows that they received it. I also informed m,y credit card company. They inturn notified Computer-memory-Store.com about giving me credit back to my account. Instead of giving me the full $50.00 back they gave me only $42.50, with no explaination what they were charging me $7.50 for. My order show free ground
shipping, and their site shows 100% money back guarantee. I am still fighting this, and my credit card compay is still looking into it. I am also notifing the BBB. I am writing this because I do not want to see other people get cheated, as they are doing to me, plus all the aggravation. I am 70 years old and cna not afford to throw money away.
