"Every company is great when you get exact what you want you when you want it. However, a truly great company's mark is how they react when an order goes wrong.
Unfortunately, for the ComputerMemoryStore I had to contact the www.BBB.org before they would sort out their issues. I have never had to do this before, and dreaded the fact that I was left no other option.
I ordered a 320 GB 7200 RPM Toshiba SATA laptop drive on November 4th, 2008. After about 15 days of waiting I tracked it down and found that it had been delivered to somewhere in Montana. I live in Maryland. I sent computermemorystore an email explaining this and John T replied with this, "Another customer received you're package by accident. We will be reshipping today." This is where my trouble began.
At this point I wanted to cancel the order and move on. I sent numerous emails and called the sales line to no avail. I didn't know what was happening. I never received a new shipping invoice, email, nothing.
Anyway on December 22nd, a month after they they ship out something out that day, I receive a hard drive I no longer wanted.
I tried to RMA the drive 3-4 times with no response. Finally, I contacted BBB, and then received an immediate response from Alex S, "By mistake your hard drive was sent to your address and delivered on December 22nd." Issue resolved, but now I wonder whose drive did I get?
I never fully opened the package so I am not sure if I even received what was ordered. The packaging in which the hard drive arrived was packaged in a bubble envelope inside a second bubble envelope. This leads me to believe that the drive is mostly likely a re-shelved or a refurbished drive.
I implore you to read the other unsatisfied comments before you purchase from this company. I personally believe that this is some guy and his buddy's second job that is right out of the basement. I called the main number a dozen times and never once got a warm body much less a return call."
