"I really should have read the plethora of negative reviews against this obviously disreputable merchant. I purchased a cell phone from consumerdepot.com for what seemed to be a good price, even with the high shipping cost. The item was shipped in a timely fashion, but it doesn't work. Nothing can make up for that. At this point, I read the RMA process and was more disappointed. Stupid, stupid, stupid! If I had known about this person's horrible reputation on EBAY, I certainly never would have dealt with them. I've opted to try to deal with the manufacturer of the phone rather than return it to this merchant so they can sell it to some other poor sucker like me - which is exactly what they would probably do! AVOID THIS MERCHANT!!! Go look them up on Ebay and you'll see the trend of retaliatory feedback for anyone who complains about being ripped off. Karma will get you in the end, whomever you are.

UPDATE: I decided to try their RMA process. I sent them a negative email and they assured me that all I had to do was send the phone back for a refund. "We don't do store credits" they said. I sent the item back via USPS Priority Mail. It arrived there on Monday August 8th. They sent me this note Wednesday August 10th. We have received and processed a refund on your return.

The refund has been processed through our account, however, depending on
your bank and/or credit card company it may take several days or longer
for the credit to show up on your account.

I replied that they had 5 business days from the day they received the returned phone to refund my money. If they do not refund my money by Friday August 11th, I will dispute the charges on my CC. I've only had to dispute one transaction on my Master Card so far and my credit union credited my account first and began the dispute process on the spot. I hope I don't have to do that but I will if I have to.

UPDATE: This merchant is about the worst I've ever encountered online. They FINALLY refunded my money after I disputed the charges with my bank and Master Card. Only then did they refund my money. I threatened to dispute the charges via email and they ignored 3 different warnings I sent, as if to say "go ahead, dispute the charges and see what happens." The only reason I got the dispute settled was because I had email evidence from consumerdepot that they would refund my money. I'm sure that was a mistake on their part, trying to get me to send the product back and then they would just leave me hanging, but it ended up hanging them. I would recommend to anyone that they avoid dealing with this company. I will never buy anything from them again. "
