"I would not trust their projected delivery date. My blower motor died and I found a replacement on Controls Central. It was February so delivery date was important to me, not so much price difference. I ordered Wednesday morning, hoping it would arrive Friday as promised, but it came next week on Tuesday. We had a few of days near zero degrees. As a consequence, we ended up burning so much electricity to heat the house that any price we may have saved with Controls Central was meaningless compared to the electric bill we received. We also ran a serious risk of fire because our circuit breakers kept blowing due to overloads from heaters.
When I filed a complaint, the response was "It was not available at your local warehouse so we had to ship it from east coast". Well, the website said "In Stock" and the delivery date estimator promised 2 days. As a customer, I make purchase decisions on THAT information, not on future excuses. Apparently, Controls Central does not track their inventory, so the delivery date estimator is not aware that an item is out of stock and thus cannot provide reliable delivery dates. I had 2 other sources where I could buy this replacement for $10 more and they were both local with free delivery.
I would also seriously consider Grainger next time. If I knew this delay would happen I would just go to local Grainger and have heat in a few hours, not days."
“You have every right to be upset and we have apologized to you multiple times back in February. Your order had to be rerouted to a different location and only got delayed one day. We would normally refund your freight for the inconvenience but you didn't pay any freight since the chosen shipping method was ground. Once again we are sorry for the 1 extra transit day.”
