"I ordered a TC-4 waterblock from www.cooltechnica.com on 2/26/04 because they had the lowest price I could find and they were in New York, the same state where I live. Well, after the high shipping charges and sales tax, I wound up paying $42 for a $25 block ... no big deal I guess.
A week after my order, I emailed customer support to find out why I had not received my order nor a tracking number and got the following response:

I then did not hear from them again for a few days, so I sent a couple more emails to which I received no replies. Then today, finally I received an email saying that my order had been shipped and gave me the tracking number.

So, the bottom line is this ... He waited a week to ship the package at all. He charged me sales tax because I live in NY, yet shipped the product from Canada. I searched the whole website and I could not find anywhere that it said products even shipped form Canada. And I won't receive the product until Mar. 11th, which is 2 full weeks from when I placed my order.
Next time I'll be ordering from D-tek directly or from somewhere else. I am very disappointed and I highly suggest against ordering anything from this company.

Whether the block was shipped from Canada, California or Timbuktu, it still was shipped a full week after I ordered it! If I pay New york sales tax to a New York company, I expect to receive a product from ... NEW YORK *gasp*! Instead I receive a product shipped a week later from across the country where I could have easily ordered it myself and avoided the sales tax, delay and high shipping cost.
Bruce only offered to refund my shipping or a free refund IF I changed my review here. And I have not received any "full shipping refund for my inconveniences" either. Great business practice to bribe people into getting good reviews huh?

"I have ordered 2 times and both were outstanding! The first time it was shipped the next day and in my hands in 2 more days as promised since I used UPS 2nd day air. The second order ran into a problem which was entirely my own fault. So I called to see what I could do to get my order before the weekend but since it was already Thursday afternoon and Bruce put a rush on it to make sure it would make it in time for next day air as wel as offered to pay for Saturday service if he couldn't get it out that night. I had my stuff at 9:40 the next morning! Great work Bruce! My first order contained a D-Tek radiator that was of poor Q/C from the manufactuer (not Cooltechnica's fault) and Bruce was very fast to issue an RMA for it to be replaced. I would recomend them to anyone looking for water cooling gear."

"Made the order then i got an emailed response "unverified address" which isnt a problem considering i just moved so i requested it get shipped to a differnt address. The response i got was billing address wasnt correct either. No problem, i request that the bill go the same place as the package. The last email i recieved from them was on 1-26-2004. since then ive sent at least 4 more emails asking if that address worked, are they going to ship, and if not how about my 78 dollars back. When i look at there site it says the order is pending. "
