"I have ordered several times from this store. I have had them tell me that an item was backorder and give new shipping dates but always received the item. I have never had to wait an outrageous amount of time for any item. Overall very satisfied."

"Please! Do NOT purchase from CopsPlus.com, Copsplus for any reason, especially for any gear orders. They will give you the run around on items that they have in stock, because they do not have them in stock. Not only that, they take a month and a half to ship an item that I asked them to cancel 3 weeks prior.

Their customer service is condescedningly rude and they only communicate via e-mail. So to save you time and money:

AVOID them at all costs!!!

Tell everyone you know to avoid them.

"it took 3 days to get a note saying its on back order and i sent them a note to find something that was not on back order got note back saying i can.. so sent in some other part numbers they still have not get back with me after 8 trys. floyd order 107391 and 107393"

"They got me on backorder and will not respond to my email. Wish I would have read these other reviews before letting them get my money.
Very disappointed in them. I will never place an order with them again.

I Placed order on 07/11/05 for 1 Handgun Grip.

On 07/12/05 received this email,
"This is an automated email to let you know that we have completed the processing of your order and will now forwarded it to our distribution center for shipment."

Then I checked their Website on the status of my order and found this,

NEW ORDER - Monday, July 11 2005
Order received.

STATUS UPDATE - Tuesday, July 12 2005
Order processed and forwarded to our distribution center in Michigan;
In-stock items ship in 1 to 2 business days


Then I found this,

BACKORDERS - Items on Backorder
The following backordered items are expected Wednesday, July 20 2005



On 07/16/05 I emailed them and said that I did not want to be on backorder and to please verify that they could get the product.
I received and automated response that same day saying,
"We wanted to let you know that our customer service department has received your email. Rest assured that we are doing our best to answer all support questions as quickly as possible."

Well, they have not responded yet.

and now I find this on the Website,

BACKORDERS - Items Still on Backorder
The following backordered items are expected Wednesday, July 27 2005;

So here I sit waiting.

update - July 26 2005
Sent them an email on the 24th saying cancel my order and return my money, no reply.
Then I look on the Website and find that the backorder had advanced to Aug 03 2005.
Still waiting, what a drag this has turned into.

"More of the same as outlined below. I made and order, it took 2 days to be processed. I wondered what was up so I e-mailed them. I get a respose stating that it's been sent to New York for processing and will take several days. Finally it shows that half of my items are shipped, the other half are backordered. I wait for roughly 10 days, check my status, and find that the date has been pushed back. Being in a combat zone and having to get to a computer to find out if the items you ordered to do your job are being sent is not easy. Since my items had been pushed back I e-mail "customer service" asking what kind of turn around there is on a credit to my card there is IF I cancel. I get a reply stating that they cancelled the rest of my order. I didn't ask to have it cancelled, just what if.

Beware, there is no indication that items are not in stock. Reading the other reviews it seems they don't stock much and rely on you waiting for them to order it themselves. Customer service is very slow to respond and if yo ask about status they tell you to look at the web site.

Needless to say I will not be conducting business with them in the future and can't honestly enourage you to do so either.

"I ordered a pair of gloves on 2/5/05 and got notice they were back ordered and would be in one week from that date. I checked the status of my backorder a week later, and it was pushed back another week. I checked back again, and they pushed the backorder again. And again. And again.

It is now 3/6/05 and the backorder has AGAIN been extended to 3/17/05.

I have yet to be responded to by email.

Don't waste your time.

"Just like the above guy mentioned, this business is horrible. I ordered a tactical belt from the store. The belt order was placed on 1-25-05, and they JUST advised me, today (2-2-05) that it was placed on backorder. Now they said it was going to be shipped on 2-9-05. Why do I have the feeling Im getting the run around. I also wrote them an email, and they have yet to respond. Very unprofessional business."

"Apparently this storefront operation likes to pre-sell stock it doesn't have without informing the customers that the item isn't even shipping from the factory yet.

One of the items in my Dec. 7th order was backordered, yet i didn't find this out until three days later, at which time the "tracking" page indicated an expexcted ship date of 12/27. then that date was revised to 1/3/2005, then that date has now been revised to 1/10/2005.

I wrote to the Cops Plus "Customer Service" department yesterday morning, asking them to cancel the remaining unshipped item and for a credit to be applied to my credit card.

24 hours later, there has been no reply to my request.

It also appears that the New York based Cops Plus doesn't stock it's own inventory, but uses a warehouse in Michigan, which could be the actual store for many such web-based store fronts. I got curious and looked elsewhere for this same item; on Amazon they are plainly stating that they are waiting, saying, "...It still hasn't shipped from the factory yet."

If you orer something from these guys that turns out to be back-ordered, get ready to wait and wait and wait. Once they have your money, your new name is S.O.L.
