"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. This company does not keep any items in stock, rather just drop ships to you from vendors. This process in reality takes 7 to 10 days. If you have weeks to wait to receive items, go ahead and order. If you are on a deadline they will never make it, and then charge you a 15% restocking fee if you have to return the items because you were forced to order them from another company that actually cared about customer service. Customer Service Representatives must be told or trained to be as rude and condescending as possible. I'm very dissatisfied with their service and will write a review such as this anywhere I can."

The say that an item is in-stock, and then it changes to being "backordered" days after the order is placed.
Then, they wouldn't cancel the order. I wound up doing a chargeback through my credit card company, Discover.
I wish I'd read this site before I bought stuff here. If you're reading this, you probably got snookered by CopsPlus.com, too.
Don't feel bad. You're not alone. Just make sure you tell people about this and let your card company know that this "bait and switch" appears to be a common thing for CopsPlus.com."
"Be very careful with this company. Placed an order for serveral items and had one item placed on backorder. They did not inform me of the back order. When I learned of it, I attempted to cancel and they told me it was shipped. A week later, I found out it was backordered again. Numerous attempts to cancel were ignored by the company.
Eventually I purchased the item from a local merchant and finally the item arrived. I am now attempting to get credit for the item that should never have been shipped.
Be very careful when dealing with this company.

"I ordered a benchmade bm-42 knife from CopsPlus. Several places were out of stock so I figured I was lucky to find it at CopsPlus... as it turned out, they didn't have it either. They just didn't mention that it's out of stock anywhere until after the order is placed and the credit card is charged. The 'order status' page seems to automatically increment the 'estimated ship date' so that it always claims the item will ship this week. Multiple emails to customer service over a period of days went without any response whatsoever (besides the immediate automatic response). I attempted to cancel my order but, naturally, have heard nothing back from CopsPlus. I will be calling my credit card tonight to contest the charges."
"I am completely DISAPPOINTED in this store. I ordered my items almost a month ago and have not received them. At their website they did not mention they were out of stock and would bebackordered forever. I called their customer service to inquire about it and they were very rude and unprofessional. "I do quite a bit of work on the road, so I decided to purchase a Saunders "Cruiser Mate" form holder. These are typically used by law enforcement, so after searching all the stores in my area, I found that CopsPlus Police Supplies had the best price for this item.
I placed an order on the site thinking that the item was in stock. A day after placing the order, I was notified that the item should be shipped out shortly. Several days passed with no updates whatsoever. The "Order Status" page then showed that the item was on backorder, and that it would not be in stock for a few more weeks. This did not sit well with me, so I called CopsPlus's customer service line and requested that the order be canceled and refunded to my credit card. The customer service person informed me that the order would be canceld, and that I should see a full refund within a few days. Thinking that everything was taken care of, I ordered the form holder from an Amazon seller instead...
Amazingly enough, I received a notification the next day that the item was shipped out. Calling customer service resulted in being told off very rudely. In the end, UPS delivered the item and I chose to simply return the item for a refund, eat the 15% restocking fee, and get on with life.
5 days have passed since CopsPlus received my return. Attempts to get status updates from customer service have failed, so it looks like I'll most likely be doing a chargeback on this purchase."

"Items listed as available, credit card charged immediately. Later informed items were not available & were on back-order for a short while. Estimated date of back-order came & went---told to wait longer. I never agreed to a back order, so finally requested to cancel my order. So far, nothing. Very sorry I got involved with CopsPlus..."
"Horrible experience. Order placed 12/20/07. One item shipped 1/2/08. The other one gave a backorder date of like January 8th, then was updated to january 28th or something. Either way the service was horrible. I had to send 3 e-mails before I got any response. They cancelled the second item for me and said I would receive credit on my next statment... They refunded $13.60 when the item cost $22.47 plus tax. Makes no sense. A very unreliable merchant. They also only had answering machines the one day I tried to get a hold of them during business hours. Spend the extra few dollars and order from galls. Their prices are not worth the hassle if they can't deliver in a timely manner and can only do correct math when figuring out your bill and not your return."
"I work in a buisness that is very customer service orientated, and have had to deal with many angry customers (sometimes unreasonable customers). So typicaly I give the merchant the benefit of the doubt.
I ordered an item, and then found out (after I placed the order) that it was on backorder. Since they gave me an estimated ship date, (about ten days after I placed the order) I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, now it's been four months and five days, and I still haven't received the order. Everytime I email them, they respond realivily quick, so I can't complain about that. But I would have liked to have known about the backorder, BEFORE the order was placed!
Now when I check my order status, it says, "Estimated ship date: Friday, December 14 2007". That was TEN days ago! So what does that mean!?"
"CopsPlus.com appears to be selling counterfeit products and falsely representing them on their website. I ordered a MagLite Mag-Charger battery pack and received a cheap chinese imitation. CopsPlus.com seems to have copied the picture from the MagLite website and is using the MagLite name and logo.
Can you say "FRAUD"? That's what I think of when I hear the name CopsPlus.com"
"I ordered a very large quantity of item from this company for use on duty as a police officer. It has been 41 days now since I ordered the items. Some were sent immediately, one was cancelled because even though they list it for sale on their web site they don't have it nor were they able to even get it, several others were never sent. After calling the company several times and repeatedly having them accept no responsibility for the problem, but instead blaming the manufacturer, I cancelled several of the items and ordered them from other companies. I still have one item on order from them, let me remind you I ordered and paid for it 41 days ago and according to their order tracking web site it will be at least another 7 days before they send it to me. This will make 48 days but I have my doubts they will even send it then! Since I ordered the stuff the order tracking web site at least once a week changes their estimated ship date. They are now at almost seven weeks! I went as far as contacting the manufacturer who told me that when they get an order from a distributor they send the items out within 3 weeks. I even contacted another distributor who called the manufacturer and called me back telling me that he could have the item drop shipped to me directly from the manufacturer and that they guaranteed him I would have it within three weeks. At this point it had been long enough I didn't know if Cops Plus might get it to me sooner so I decided to wait. Boy what a mistake that was! Now if the manufacturer and other distributors are telling me I can get the exact same item in 3 weeks why in 7 weeks haven't I received it from cops plus? Also, why when I ordered the stuff was there nothing on their web site stating that they are selling stuff they don't even stock and that it may not be available at the time of order? This was gear I needed to use on duty and this whole experience has really messed me up work wise! I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get this item or if they are trying to see how long they can keep me waiting. They apparently wait several weeks after taking your money before they even order the stuff from the manufacturer! This is by far the worst on line ordering experience I have ever had and would never recommend anyone order anything from Cops Plus!"
"Terrible customer service! They initially charge your credit card which makes it very difficult to cancel or get a refund since they never answer their phone or return a call. Email response is slow to none depending on the situation. They neglected to tell me that they cancelled an order due to an incorrect model number. It took me five times of leaving messages and faxes before they acknowledged their error. Then they informed me they would refund me the amount owed until they changed their minds again and shipped the order with a different model number; even after I demanded a refund. Their game is to allow me to return the item them charge me a 15% restocking fee. I will never buy from them again! "
