"Horrible service. I selected and paid additional money to have 1-2 day expedited shipping. My order was verified and receipt of student ID was confirmed on 1-19-2012, yet I did not recieve a shipping verification for an additional 5 days. So, since the initial order was placed on 1-16-2012 and finally shipped on the 24th, I have to rate this as one of the slowest on line orders I have ever experienced and would not recommend your company to anyone. It would also appear that the only thing you sent out in a timely manner was this survey, which arrived 1 day after you told me the product shipped. At least one part of your system is efficient. I only regret that the lowest rating you allow for your shipping process is "poor". Somehow that seems to be a huge understatement in this case."

I placed an order for one item on 12/8/2011, a LeapPad Explorer tablet. The listed price was about 50% more that the regular retail, but the item was hard to find and their site said they had it in stock so I placed an order. The company added a line to the order for $ 19.99 for a protection plan, I never asked for that. That’s a little shady if you ask me. I never received any unsolicited information on the order. I checked in several times over the next several weeks only to hear that they didn’t have any LeapPads, didn’t know when it would ship and that I had a place ‘in line’. The customer service person quoted a flood in Asia causing issues in manufacturing. Then, on 1/5/2012 the company charged my credit card without having shipped the product. As far as I can tell, that’s against VISA/MASTERCARD merchant policies. I asked about the charge and they STILL didn’t know when they would receive the product, nor did they know when they would ship it to me. Just that I ‘had a place in line’. The customer service person effectively said that I may as well keep the order with CostCaptain because no-one else had them either. I found a local retailer with LeapPad Explorers on the shelf, so I requested that CostCaptain immediately cancel my order and refund the money they charged. Their response was ‘it will take 3-5 days’, the time from my order cancellation til the refund was 12 days.
