"This is site appears to be a scam, but let there representatives answer these questions in order to clarify if it is not. How could klempner have waited 3-1/2 weeks for delivery if the the domain of the site was registered October 19th 2012? Also, every member has only the 1 post and all accounts were created on Oct.19th 2012 or later. (Just like mine but rest assure) this seems fishy. Also on Yahoo questions same thing someone asks a question and someone answers and both accounts were created after Oct. 19. The reason I'm writing a review I'm helping a friend that ordered. They received an email that said it was a USPS tracking number but the URL was UPS. 3 business days after receiving the email the tracking number does appear on UPS tracking site but the weight of the item is less than 1 pound but the item they bought weighs more than that. Every call to customer service goes through Grasshopper service, never any real live person. Their address is based in CA but they have no Tax ID, which is required by law. Through paypal they use a company called Sementic Inc. If it is a scam your paypal and credit company should help but in the meantime if it is a scam the people behind can withdraw the money from the account."

"I ordered a c computer from CostPi.com on October 26th, 2012. I called first to make sure it was in stock and not re-furbished and was told they only sell new merchandise. I received a tracking number from them on October 29th, but when I tried to track the package it took until November 1 for ay tracking info to appear.

I sent an e-mail while waiting for the tracking information, to try to find out what was going on, but never received a response. I got especially concerned when I finally was able to get the tracking information since it said the shipment had an "Actual Weight" of 0.1722 pounds. HP's web site says the specific computer I ordered weighs 68.34 pounds.

I've tried calling CostPi.com at least 15 times and every time there is a recording to wait while Grasshopper transfers the call to Extension 0. After a few minutes listening to music while on hold, a recording comes on to leave a message. I have left messages, but have yet to receive a return call.

I called UPS to check on the weight and was told it could be an error on the part of the shipper. However, I did some more searching on the web and found a 15 page thread of others who have been scammed by CostPi.com. Orders for graphics cards that when the tracking information was received stated that the shipments were well under half a pound and when the package was delivered, they received some junk rather than the high cost item(s) ordered.

I called Chase and they say I have to wait until the package actually arrives before I can file a claim against CostPi.com.

So a word to the wise, DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM COSTPI.COM - IT'S A SCAM!!!

Follow-up November 9, 2012 -

I received the package in my mail box today - this was supposed to be an HP Z820 Workstation. What I received was a USPS mailer with - hold your breath - a USB cable!!!

Please, please, this is a scam par excellence!"

"They say that they delivered my video card to UPS to be shipped out to me on Monday, no tracking info. It is now tuesday and still no tracking info. I am beginning to think this site could be a scam, others have said that they had ordered a video card and in the tracking info it stated that the weight was .15 something pounds, video cards typically weigh at least 2 pounds"

"I ordered a barebones laptop on Friday the 26th using their 25 percent off promo... on Sunday they cancelled the order because of some PayPal reason and asked for my credit card.so I re ordered...on Sunday. Every day since Sunday I have called because the guy said that on Sunday I will be getting trackinginfo the same day which is Sunday.. today is Tuesday and still no tracking info or confirmation that it has even shipped. Update... today is Wednesday I have call them all day and they're not answering or returning phone calls. A few people have contacted the FBI. "Was impressed reading earlier comments, specially because I am not living in the U.S. ( Dutch, living in Sweden). I was looking for the new Aspire S7-191 ultrabook because CostPi claimes a discount of 25% on them. The official U.S. price of the Aspire S7-191 is $1,199 minus 25% is $900. Looking on CostPi website it shows S7 11.6" 128SSD Ci53317UB Win8... for $1,127 from $1,499
Reality should be the earlier mentoned $ 900. A few days earlier their own price was even lower being $ 846.
I have contacted CostPi but got no reply sofar even after 2 reminders.

I gave a 1 star to them earlier this week. And I changed my review because Costpi.com responded to my comment. I do understand it is tough, but the truth of the matter is. There response was totally unprofessional. Also, I ended up not ordering from them because they removed paypal from one of there accepted payments. I trust paypal because paypal prevents them from acquiring my credit card number.

They have lost my business. I never expected the response to be written so unprofessionally.
I will now change my review back to a 1 star.
It you look at all the old reviews, there are 3 reviews posted per day. Then there is a large time point gap before I posted my review. It has to make you wonder the credibility of this site.
I am sorry, but I must warn people that this site is still iffy. It is new, there customer service is not great. Also, there internet security is very weak and at most lacking.
