"Good price, HORRIBLE PACKAGIG. I recently bought Sony Vaio notebook for about $1,200 from these guys. I was lucky to receive it in one piece. The manufacturer's box showed up in an open larger box with one sheet of construction paper for padding. The outer box was large enough to allow the notebook to smash around the inside. Probably won't purchase from again due to their utter lack of care in the packaging of the products they sell and ship. Who cares if you get a good price on something if it shows up DOA?!? "
"Ordered a Panasonic TH-58PF11UK, they had good customer support pre order but when it arrived damaged in shipping I was thinking -here's where the nightmare begins. Insteda I called them spoke to Savannah and she said no problem once we get confirmation from the shipper we will send out another. One more phone call a couple days later to check in and the TV was on it's way. Two days after that the new TV arrived in perfect shape. Highly recommended!! "
"I was given the run around and had my order placed on hold because I used my cell phone # as the phone number for my order (which had a different area code than the shipping address, oh no!). The funny thing is I've used this same credit card/phone number combo to do business with several other companies and never had a problem. I even placed an order with Newegg at the same time as the CostCentral order and it went through without a problem. Stay away from these people, they pick the name for their company well because it's going to COST you a lot of time..."
"HORRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY FROM COST CENTRAL!!! I placed an order over the phone, was assured that it would be processed and sent out that day, and delivered by the date I needed. They did not do what they said, would not even remotely admit that they had given me wrong information when I placed the order, and would not offer to do anything to resolve the situation. I had to cancel the order because it would have been delivered too late by that point. "I ordered a sony laptop on 12/17/08 and they charged my CC same day. They failed to ship the order even after 6 days. When I contacted on 12/19/08, I was told about warehouse problem and will be shipped by 12/23. When I contacted on 12/24, the were singing the same song and even not offering any regrets for the delay. I cancelled the order. I have been buying online since 2002 and made big purchases like plasma/LCD TVs, this is the first time I had this bitter experience. All others charged my CC on the day they shipped my item. These people are different and I never recommend them to anybody. BEWARE!!!"

"Bought a Toshiba R500-S5007V, but the screen is terrible and not as bright, high brightness, as manufacture advertised. I found out on news.com product review, quite a few people have the same issues with the laptop. I contacted both Toshiba and Erie Computer to return within 15 days, but could not return it because Erie Computer's request to Toshiba is denied even though Toshiba't return policy accepts returns, but Erie doesn't. This is very disappointing. The product is the lemon. vendor and manufacture's policies and ads are deceptive."
"Excellent, best service from Cost Central; however, disappointing poor service from FedEx. Order placed 14 Sep; Cost Central shipped from 2 locations, both in time to have 2 packages 'on the local FedEx truck' for 16 Sep delivery. However, not delivered on 16 Sep; FedEx delivery 'not attempted' as they say both packages were 'on the wrong truck'. Rescheduled for 17 Sep; again, delivery 'not attempted' as they say both packages were again 'on the wrong truck'. Delivery finally received on 20 Sep with puzzling explanation of how two packages were put on wrong truck two days in a row."
"I order a Canon Pixma IP2600 printer for $48.45, and received it within 2 days via Fedex. However, the black ink cartridge that came with the printer was badly cracked on one side and unusable.
Note that the cost of buying a new ink cartridge to replace the broken cartridge is at least $17, more than 33% of the cost of the printer. So this breakage represents a LARGE price increase in the cost of the printer.
When I called up customer service they said I had to return the whole package including the printer in order to have the ink cartridge replaced. Considering the time and expense involved, I will just to buy a new ink cartridge from a local store instead.
I believe the broken ink cartridge was caused by poor packing(there was no bubble wrap inside the box at all), they simply mailed the printer in its original box only, without extra protection around it!
I would not buy from this store again."
