"I ordered a high end automatic coffee center. In contrast to the usual good costco quality, this expensive piece arrived and started malfunctioning within a day. So I decided to request a replacement. Just trying to get in touch with the customer service department was very frustrating, because whenever you call, they are "experiencing longer than normal wait times" in their customer service department. I have consistently over that last week waited between 45-65 minutes just to get someone on the phone! So far I have spent more than 4 hours over a time period of several days trying to get someone to help me get the problem solved. Needless to say, even after all that time, nothing has been taken care of satisfactory at this point. Not only could they not simply issue a replacement in return for the malfunctioning piece. I need to return the defective item, purchase the replacement item (for a higher price than I initially paid) and then call in again (another 2 hours of wasted life time!) to request a price adjustment (which the customer service people could not not even guarantee due to inability / incompetence / lack of authority?). No, the customer service personnel that I dealt with (at least on one of the several occasions) was less than friendly and not even trying to be helpful. After waiting for hours this is not something anyone can consider decent customer service. Dealing with the Costco Online ordering and with their customer service is a pure nightmare at this point. I have been a loyal and frequent Costco customer for more than 15 years, but am really reconsidering if I ever purchase anything again online from this place. "
"We purchased a home theatre system though Costco online. The delivery time was reasonable, 3 days, however.
Costco has a shipping contract with UPS. The driver delivered the home theatre system and left it on the front porch in the wet snow. Fortunately our daughter happened to be home and noticed the UPS driver though the living room window. The driver did not knock on the door, nor did he ring the door bell. By the time our daughter got the front door the driver was already getting back into his truck. So this delivery guy was going to leave $1200 worth of electronics on the front porch, in the wet snow, unattended.
When I called Costco about this the monkey on the phone just kept repeating policy. I pointed out that their policy also included a statement that they cannot guarantee delivery schedules and that we would have to deal directly with UPS to schedule delivery. He said that we could have tracked it though the UPS tracking number. No where on the notice from Costco shipping notice was there an indication that they shipped it via UPS. Apparently we are just supposed to recognize the tracking number as a UPS number. When I raised the risk of weather damage and theft the monkey on the phone just said that Costco would send another. So basically they would rather cause the customer delays and deal with damaged or stolen stuff rather than be proactive and ensure that the delivery to redirected to a UPS depot if no one is home.
Overall, a very bad customer experience for delivery and the monkey on the phone was not interested any resolution or even accepting the complaint as something that should go back to management for consideration. We will not be ordering anything from Costco in the future that requires delivery and we may very well be cancelling our membership over this stupidity."

When you misrepresent the product that you are selling by promoting it as something other that what it is, you have broken everyone of your rules.
I ran a business for 37 years and the one may reason that our clients kept coming back to us was our reputation of being an honest vendor that sold quality and service.
Most likely, this was an honest error made by a junior tech working in your online store. The sad thing is that you are not supporting your customer. You seem to be afraid to admit that a mistake was made.
DYN GLO advertise this unit as 5 burner.
The box says 5 burner.
The manual and instructions say 5 burner
Your competition, Walmart, Home Depot, Amazon, etc.promote it as 5 burner
Yet, you seem comfortable trying to justify this unit as being a 7 burner by some convoluted way of thinking.
I would suggest that you bite the bullet and come clean. For me it is not about the money but rather about principle.
There is no question that you misrepresented the product in your advertising. When people shop online, they cost compare. There is no question that a 7 burner unit seems a more attractive purchase than a 5 burner unit, especially one with similar specs and from the same manufacturer.

"COSTCO apparently does not care about their customers. I was filling up my car with gas @ Costco in Katy, TX and had an over-welling need to use the restroom. At 65 yrs old, I know when it's time to go, it really is time to go. The store had just closed (stopped letting customers in but there were still a lot of customers in the store. I left the car with my wife and ran across the parking lot to hopefully use the restroom. When I got to the door, I explained my dilemma to the door employee. She asked the floor supervisor if I could use the restroom but the floor (door) supervisor declined to help me. It's embarrassing enough to have to ask permission to use the facilities but to get turned down on top of that... Chances are I will not be renewing my membership."

In preparation for the new units I disposed of old ones 1 week after placing order. I am now informed that estimated delivery date is now Oct 11. I find this totally deceptive. "We left the store (we a cart filled w groceries) just before they closed but had ordered a pizza so we were eaiting to get it ready. My 4 YEAR old said she needed to go potty, so I went back to the exit door and beg the guy to let me in. I EXPLAINED it was NOT for me but my daughter and he did not let me. "Went to get gas and lady that was pumping the gas was very rude. She said that we park the wrong side where they never had a problem before due to the long hose. In fact they direct us to park like that when it is busy. She complained how it was heavy for her and was angry at us. She started banging on our gas pump and she had another conversation with her co-worker right next to us with our window open. Didn't acknowledge us at all at the beginning never said hi and just shoved my credit card back at my face. "Purchased CyberpowerPC SLC4000C Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 8GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Graphics (Item #1151878) from Costco. The shipment was fast. However, there is lack of installation instruction within the box.
The machine is really noisy when it's turning on. Downside on the product itself: it's a $1700 computer, but it doesn't have wireless keyboard or mouse come with it. There is also no Bluetooth option. Not sure if it's worth the price yet. Costco has great 90 day return policy for the computers, the 1 star missing for Costco is because review function is turned off at Costco's website."
