"I am not a member but was shopping around to various clubs to compare so we stopped at costco first since we passed it first heading to Va. from where we live in MD. This store was located on Rt one in Ft. Belvoir Va. This was on the weekend just before Xmas 2017 so it was very busy. My husband and I were just about to enter the store and he passed this person and then I noticed this person stare at me almost jumping right in front of me to block me from going in. I did not even have a chance to speak before she demanded my membership card, rudely telling me I can only go to the food court with no card. I noticed no one else being carded and my husband by now was already looking around. There was a police officer there so I assumed this person must work there even though she did not look or act professional. I was trying to tell her we were going to the membership sign up section but never got that far due to her rude over talking. By now my husband came back after he noticed I was not behind him and also told her the people in front of him were not carded. This person seemed very worked up and nervous and now the cop was staring and talking on his radio. By now I was just insulted and confused about why these people would treat prospective new customers in such a manner. I knew then I was not going to join any costco at this point even if this store could have just been a bad location. I tried to call customer service to complain and it was confirmed I was right not to join when the customer service wait for new prospective customers would have been almost an hour hold time just to talk to someone. We did join BJs that same day and very happy with being greeted with a friendly smile with no demand for Id."
"There was no communication, finally had to call to see what the issue was, they said the contact info wasn't correct, I corrected that, scheduled the time and day like asked, took time out of my morning waiting for the delivery between 8am and noon, at 1pm after not hearing anything from them, I call and they tell me we're sorry but the courier lost the package! Like you couldnt have obtained that info before me making these changes and waiting 5 hrs for a shipment that's lost? Completely unprofessional! It was suppose to be a present, which I was suppose to give tomorrow, now I'm stuck having to wait 2 to 3 weeks again, without any time to shop elsewhere, and let's not forget the "attempted delivery" that they tried to make 2 days ago, when the package they said was lost a week ago, I hate bs and unprofessionalism, thank God for the last person I spoke to when I called customer service, Nora I believe was her name, or I would've been waiting for a package for God knows how long, Which keep in mind is lost.....

"Ordered a dishwasher online and they emailed and called with our apt time and told us someone would need to be home on 1/2 and someone would be by between 10 to 12 to pick up our old dishwasher and then same day someone would come by between 1 to 5 to install. Nobody showed by 3pm so we called. We were told Oh I am sorry we are behind due to the holiday we will be by tomorrow 1/3. Took now a 2nd day off work and guess what. No call no show again. What a scam, now who is going to reimburse me the $40 an hour I am out from not working. DO NOT USE THEIR INSTALLERS!!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY $700 dishwasher just cost me $1300. "My address was ‘misprinted’ on the shipping label and I literally got a ‘we missed you’ slip on my door from UPS telling me they won’t give me my package because of restrictions from the shipper. I waited on hold for 67min! And was told they would have to cancel my order and I could reorder. I wasn’t sure it would make it in time for Christmas so I just canceled it. Almost 3 weeks later I’ve been promised a refund 4 times and revived nothing. Now I have to fight my bank to remove the charge, I’m convinced they don’t take credit cards just to make it harder to get your money back."
"Our gaming computer's performance dropped drastically. I suspected a hardware problem but did not know how to fix. I called Costco Concierge services to ask for advice on how to proceed. I expected them to refer me to a technician at Acer. However, the Costco technician asked me to perform some tests and reset my computer so it regained full performance. He was knowledgeable, professional and stayed on the line throughout the process. I am very impressed!!! Thank you Costco Concierge Services."
"We purchased a large game table from Costco.ca that was to be a Christmas present. Costco's shipper scheduled a delivery date prior to Christmas...we waited all day...they didn't show up or call us to reschedule. It is now Dec 27th and we are still waiting. Costco.ca is basically throwing their shipper under the bus telling me to deal with the shipper and taking no responsibility for this. This is unacceptable...I purchased from Costco, not the shipper, and I am frustrated by how Costco is handling this.
Beware and avoid purchasing from Costco.ca - I wish that I had seen the rest of these reviews before I purchased from them. I am done with this immature organization. They should get out of the online business and leave it to Amazon and other competent vendors!!!"
"I would consider myself a low maintenance consumer; I see something I like, I buy it. Rarely do I ever complain about cost, and I won’t be here.
In short, I bought a 65” flatscreen TV and it was suppose to be delivered today b/w the hours of 8am to 1pm. A fairly generous timeframe but hey, it’s the holidays. What’s one more day off? As 1pm and 2pm came and went, I figured I’d call Costco just to get an eta. Bad idea. I was greeted by their CEO’ voice message saying the hold time would be 65 minutes. Ok. No biggie. I’ll wait. And what do you know? The awful hold music stopped and it sounded like someone picked up BUT...all I heard was CLICK. Solid. Eventually a driver called and said he’d be there in a jiffy. A 6:45pm jiffy. Finally he arrived! He dropped the box off and went on his way. I opened the box up with an unbridled enthusiasm only to see the front of the TV looking like it was in a fight with a young Mike Tyson.
The good news, I called customer service and now the wait time is up to 85 minutes - so I get an extra 20 minutes of that awful music.

"I've been shopping at Costco for years and usually find the majority of the employees pretty Pleasant. However tonight, 12-10-17, I met up with unhappy employee after unhappy employee. It started when I had to go to customer service for my bottle return. The machine outside would not take the brand I bought from Costco, "LaCroix". The lady at customer service told me that the machine did take LaCroix... I assured her that I tried several times but the machine would not accept the cans, it rejected the cans as not sold at Costco. She insisted that the machine did accept the cans and for a moment I didn't think she was going to take the cans. In a half she grabbed the bag and started counting the cans herself, she came back with money in her hand but wouldn't tell me how many can she counted. I figured it out by the amount of money she gave me. At check out the cashier looked very unhappy, he asked for my Costco card without ever looking at me, he never made eye contact with me throughout the entire encounter. He told me how much I needed to pay without looking at me, swiped my card, as he handed me my receipt he was looking at the next customer without ever making eye contact. As I went out the door showing my receipt I said hello, the lady shook her head yes put a mark on my receipt handed it to me and looked for the next customer."
"I had a membership a few years ago and returned it because of lack of use. I have been rethinking about join again due to the girls at work comments. I went with one of my coworkers to walk thought the store. I was going to the customer service counter to get a membership when I notice a manager sitting at one of the lunch tables with an employee sitting across from her. She also had a file of papers on the table. I inquired and found that she were hold that employees review for me and everyone else around to hear. It made me very uncomfortable to the point that I won't go back. I can't imagine how the employee feel about these reviews being held out in the open. I find this to be unprofessional and will never shop there again."
"Wow... how can this company be so financially successful and yet run their .com e-commerce division with such blatant incompetence is beyond me. (Yes, I'm laughing and crying at the same time) Last month I ordered a 350 pound treadmill from them that finally arrived 2 weeks later. The box was pretty beat-up but like a **** a took a chance and accepted it. A week later when I got around to assembling it, the product was smashed and damaged. So being the **** I am, I decided to return it... but since it was way too bulky & heavy for me to return to the store, I had Crapco pick it up, which they did a full week later. (Keep in mind its a full month of messing around with this order thus far.) That's when their monthly flyer arrived in the mail... and yup... you guessed it... (lol)... they were now selling a better model for the same price as the one I just returned, so like the **** I am, I now ordered that one. Two weeks later it arrived and once again the box appeared to be beaten to death. So we opened it before I accepted it. It looked okay, so like the **** I am, I accepted it again! Now this one is busted as well... hold on... IT GETS WORSE!!! I get online to arrange for a pick up return on the second unit only to find that the first unit was lost in transit, and that they will not be issuing a refund until an investigation is conducted.... WHAT? I've wasted TWO WHOLE MONTHS of my time and THEY'RE HOLDING MY $2000 because they contract their shipping and handling with the LOWEST bidder that lost my returned order! UNACCEPTABLE! They need to take a look at AMAZON to see and learn how it should be done properly. So while I was writing this, I'm once again wasting my Saturday morning ON HOLD with their CS division (listening to that horrible looped jingle) for nearly 40 minutes and counting! 60 days have gone by and I haven't spent one second on the treadmill, not ONE and they still have ALL my money... sick! "I shop at Costco quite often and for the most part the employees seem to do their job. Most are not overly friendly But there are a few that are exceptional, the gentleman at the door was kind. Unfortunately I encountered a customer service employee tonight thst was excitable. I offered constructive feedback that I was not acknowledged and stood there waiting for awile with 6 employees standing there. He proceeded to get loud and angry at me. Along with Coistco being out of several items I needed, I think I'll shop less at Costco, and take my business elsewhere."
