Back Ordered Mattress

"I placed an order for my new mattress on 7-1-18 two days later on 7-3-18 Costco.com showed that it would arrive to my home on 7-10-18. The weekend before the mattress was to arrive I removed my old mattress to make room for the new mattress. The 10th arrived I got home from work and the mattress was not there. I called Costco.com customer service and was told that the mattress that I purchased had never been shipped and that they would get it over to their resolution team to research why. I asked for a call back from their resolution team and they stated that they would get my request over to that team. I called back consistently almost everyday askng about the mattress and asking for a call back from the team I received no response from the team. I was told that it would ship on Friday 7-13-18 or Monday 7-16-18 and here it is Friday 7-20-18 and guess what it still has not shipped. I have called almost everyday to check the status. I finally received a call back from the resolution team after asking to speak with a manager (which I still never got to speak with) I was given a credit of $150.00 dollars and was told that I could purchase an air mattress and was told that the mattress that I had originally ordered would be expedited to me. Today I was told that the mattress will arrive to the Vendor on Monday 7-23-18 and it will ship on 7-25-18. I should receive it by Saturday 7-28-18 or Monday 7-30-18. I asked about the expedited shipping and was told that is the best that the Vendor can do. I have been sleeping on the couch since 7-8-18. At this point I am not holding my breath if I do not receive the mattress by 7-30-18 I will be canceling this order. I also asked for the Costco Corporate Office phone number today I think it should be addressed by the main office especially since they have continued to sell this mattress online while knowing that they are on backorder! At this point I seriously will never use Costco.com again."

Packaging

"Items arrived in boxes 2 and 1/2 times too big and almost too heavy to lift even though the items inside could have easily been separated into appropriate size boxes. The top half filled with a ton of plastic air bags to fill the space. At some point people of this planet better pressure companies to be more environmentally responsible!"

Bad service

"We are cotsco members for many years, back at home we go to cotsco many times, and everytime that I visit my daughter in Tallahassee also I love to shop at Costco, because besides that its convenient, service is great, people go above and beyond for your needs.
Today was not what I expected, I had a problem with the gas pump that didn't stop on its own, so gas was all over my car, my shoes and of course the floor when I told the man in charge he couldn't careless about it. I asked if he did have something that I could use to clean my car and my self and he did not even try to help me.
Cotsco is known for its customer service and not for rude and disrespectful employees.
I should say that person was definitely a retired one, that doesn't give much about his job.

Do NOT purchase tires from CostCo

"Do NOT purchase tires at CostCo! Our 80 year old grandmother purchased tires at CostCo, and they ruined her wheels when they installed the new tires. She immediately noticed the damage and pointed it out, but CostCo refused to do anything. CostCo talked to her in a very condescending manner and clearly is taking advantage of her being a senior citizen and a lady. Senior and ladies BEWARE! Do NOT purchase tires from CostCo. "

Terrible service !

"I have wasted almost A MONTH with an order at Costco.com and I AM NOWHERE!!! It is incredible to me that they can be so ineffective with their service quality with an underlying arrogance that takes my breath away.

I tried to place an order in mid-May with Costco.com for 2 kayaks. They were out of stock so I was told to keep checking the website which I did. They were back in stock and I finally got my order placed 5-28-2018. Delivery promised within 1-2 weeks. I received an email 1 1/2 weeks later indicating a manufacturing problem and that I would have to change kayak colors. I did that with confirmation back from Costco.com on 6-7-2018 and they offered a $100 credit for the inconvenience. I appreciated their acknowledgment of the mistake and some compensation for the delay. I was told that the kayaks would be shipped immediately.

Then.......NOTHING. I followed up with Costco.com on Monday, 6/18. They acknowledged that they STILL have done nothing and the order may have even been lost. I ask for a follow-up call (which they promise within 48 hours) and I wait for 72 hours..... NOTHING!!! I call today (72 hours later) and they are STILL flatfooted, telling me that they will try to get this started and get the kayaks shipped as soon as they are able.... WHAT? I have already had to rent other kayaks for my rental guests and this is an unacceptable answer at this point. They have failed repeatedly and to tell me that they will place me at the starting gate after almost a month of pure failure is simply unacceptable. Will take my business elsewhere

pretty incredible that in the midst of all of this they send an email for me to review them... Really? And when I do, they reply that they won't post it. Didn't realize that companies get to pick their feedback. Such distrust of Costco at this point.

Order Cancelled

"I order a $1200 item. I get a confirmation email. I then get a Cancellation email with no reason. I go on chat. They said it was because my email couldn’t be verified. I said you sent a confirmation to the email. They said it’s different than what they have associated with membership. I said, then use my business email. They said I have to re order with correct email. I said, ok, this is dumb, and I can’t re-order because you took it out of my bank and I don’t have enough funds. They said sorry for the inconvenience, is there anything else you need?"

CUSTOMER SERVICE RUDENESS

"These people have to be the rudest people I have ever dealt with. Had some issues renewing my yearly membership as a matter of fact its still not resolved. They have told me to basically take my business else where....which is not a bad idea as BJ's and Sam's is cheaper! Tried calling corporate but that is a useless as well."

Can I give zero stars?

"Ordered bed. First bed went to the wrong address. Tried to redirect about 2 hrs after order was placed but Costco said there was nothing they could do. About 4 days later bed was delivered to wrong address. FOUR WEEKS LATER BED IS STILL SITTING AT THE WRONG ADDRESS.
OK - dumb me - Reordered the bed. The frame came but guess what??? The mattress never did. Oh, the tracking number is useless and it is now LOST. But Costco will reorder (mattress #3?). OK - when will it be delivered. Costo.com " oh, we don't know, we will give you a new tracking number, but that takes 1-2 days and not on weekends, so maybe mid next week you will know something"

Wall Oven Purchase

"When I purchased a wall oven through Costco online my zip code came up as okay for them to install and haul away the old one. When the delivery arrived the guys said they could not do either the install or haul away. We refused the shipment and contacted Costco. They told us it should have been installed and the old one hauled away. Since we didn't take delivery they said they would refund the purchase and then we could try ordering it again. When I asked if they could assure me the same thing wouldn't happen again they said, no, they could not assure it wouldn't happen again. Needless to say I ordered it from another store that did the install and hauled the old one away."

The Worst Retail Nightmare Ever!!!

"I ordered a recliner chair at Costco.com. The chair, delivered in the rain to the front yard of my neighbor, arrived with no legs. There was also no manual in the box with instructions on how to assemble the chair. Over the course of the next month, I was lied to, disbelieved, put off, and finally after the most frustrating month of emails and phone calls, I decided to return the chair. I don't really know why I waited so long; I guess, I thought "this is Costco, they don't do this to their customers"...but they do, and they did to me, a customer who has spent many thousands of my hard-earned dollars supporting their business. And all the while they were neglecting basic customer service, they were apologizing and reassuring me. At last, I found out that I would have to wait a further month for the legs of the chair to arrive in a shipping container and that there was no guarantee even that the legs would arrive at all. I have lost all confidence in Costco's ability to conduct business in a fair manner. "

Dell computer

"Bought in September $900.00 cash. Use about once a week. Crashed. Mother board went out. Dell had it picked up & now I have been without my computer for 2 weeks. Will arrive here tomorrow. I don’t feel this should have happened & Costco acted like it was no big deal. I’m very worried I will have another problem with this computer & I should not have been without my computer for 2 weeks. I will not be buying anything else from Costco. Will NOT renew

Employee was Rude

" I only gave this review a 2 because of the variety. I was at Costco with my kid and she went to get a sample while i looked at cheese. She came running back saying that the employee wanted to “talk” to me. She also said the employee wouldn’t let her have a sample of chicken nuggets. I didn’t go over there. (I didn’t want to get yelled at in front of my child) I was watching my daughter the whole time so i didn’t see a need to go over there. I bought the chicken nuggets as she was on the verge of crying, and we left witg the rest of our groceries. I hope someone can do something about this as it was heartbreaking. The rude employee ruined my daughters Mothers Day, and although we will be returning, i am glad to say that she ended up tasting the chicken nuggets after all!"

Mother’s Day Order Not Received

"I ordered this Mother's Day 6 Box Tower on April 29, 2018 for an 11th May delivery. On 9th May I received an email notification from Costco that the order was being sent via UPS 2nd Day Air (I live in Honolulu, HI and paid extra for shipping). I am writing this review on 13th May, Mother's day...I did not receive the item. I called Costco Customer Service and was on hold for over 11 minutes with Shauna as she researched the issue. The phone got disconnect. I called again and was told by the rep that the item would not be delivered on Mother's day and that Costco would give me a refund for the inconvenience. So here I am on Mother Day with no gift for my mother. I wish there was an option to give an overall rating of zero star.
I tried to post the above review on Costco’s website and received an email from Costco that the review did not meet their guidelines for posting on their site.

Horrible Online Service

"I ordered an item online and, an hour later, I received a "Order Declined" email, wondering why my order failed to process. Their reasoning was due to either "Wrong Banking Information" or "Wrong Personal Information". I always make sure these fields are correct before submitting any online orders because I want to avoid headaches like this. I decided to resubmit my order with a different payment method and again, over an hour later, received the same Order Declined email. I tried resubmitting my order a third time after double-triple checking my personal/billing information, but this time their website said I couldn't submit the order because they ran out of stock. If they'd just told me that they were out of stock in the first place, I wouldn't have been wasting my time and I would've accepted that message perfectly fine because I know out-of-stock situations can happen. My word of advice to the company if they ever read this: just be honest and tell it as it is. You'd be much more clear and direct with your messages if you were honest. In-store experience is great, but your online services are horrible."
