Only to be told (after i was transferred) that they dont do price matches anymore since the company was bought. I asked when the company was bought they said 'beginning of this year' so it has taken you 9 months to take the Price Match Guarantee off the website! BULL CRAP! They are shady and not to be trusted! "Ordered a costume from Costume Discounters and knew it wouldn’t arrive beFore Halloween but was charged for more than economy shipping although that was what I chose . Read reviews after ordering and was really worried wouldn’t get the right costume or no costume at all. Well did receive the right costume and had credit for the wrong shipping but not charged back to credit card. I’m guessing they gave me store credit? Oh well, better than I expected from all the bad reviews."
"I needed a costume for a party and was shipped the wrong costume. I called customer service and waited on hold for 15 minutes to get a live person. The costume I needed was sold out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me.

"Ordered a costume for my daughter for Xmas. When she opened it, it was missing vital pieces to the dragon wings. Pretty obvious it was faulty just by looking at it, and can't believe they would even send something like this.
When I called them, representative was pleasant, but said it needed to go to a supervisor, who would contact me within 2 days. Been 3 weeks with no response.

"I ordered a costume for my son's Christmas gift, Halo. I expected it to arrive December 1st , it cam today while I was at work and my sick son was home. The package was not a typical brown box, it showed the contents. My son saw it....Christmas ruined. It was nearly $300, they shipped it this way knowing this is prime season for thefts and didn't hide try to hide what was inside. I know it sounds petty, but that matters to me. Now after reading all of these bad reviews I'm scared to even open it to make sure it's not crap"
"On October 27 at 11:19 am I placed an order with this company. Their confirmation email said that my order would be delivered on October 28th. When it didn't arrive, I called and they claimed it was an error to have told me that it was going to be Delivered on the 28th even after paying for the "expedited" shipping. and they reprocessed the order and told me it would be delivered on the 29th. I told them that UPS doesn't deliver on Saturdays and they wanted to argue. NOW, I wont have the costume for my 8 y.o. son for him to wear to school on Monday or be able to wear it Halloween evening and all they can do is say "I'm sorry". Sorry don't cut it when it is the heart of a little boy that is broken. Companies like COSTUME DISCOUNTERS should have better control over their shipping department than they do. AND they should have alternate shipping methods for when THEY make the screw up to make it right.
In short I strongly recommend against doing business with COSTUME DISCOUNTERS. Their GOOGLE rating is a joke. THEY ****!!!"
"I have ordered from these people on October 19th with an arrival date Oct 24th. Now the reason I ordered the items and choose the arrival date it's because I NEED it items to arrive at a certain date. I had to call countless time- waiting 30 minutes to get a response at times. And when I finally do, the lady on the other end cannot assist me properly. Now remember the package was schedule to arrive on the 24th, I spoke with the lady told her all of that, and she said the package should arrive on that date but the FINE prints said they might have some delays so she can't promise. In any event, I was so annoyed, I explain to her I need the shipment to arrive on the 24th for a party I am having on 26th and if it doesn't arrive then I don't need it anymore.
After all of that, I received an email the Sunday, 23RD with confirmation on UPS shipping of a label created on the 24th - the same day the package should arrive. Being annoyed I called UPS and yes the confirm the label being created but they also mentioned the package is not in their possession as yet and I should contact the seller...URGH!
I have been going back and forth back and forth with these people. When I don't get a response, I contact twitter - it has been a crazy frustrating Halloween ride.
My morale here: Spend the extra bucks and get your costume somewhere else, at least it would arrive.

"I ordered my 9-year-old son's costume from this website on October 4, 2016 with a guaranteed delivery date of October 20, 2016. Needless to say on October 22 we still have not received the costume. When I contacted Costume Discounters they stated that they had cancelled my order because it was out of stock. They indicated that I should have received an email notifying me of this. I NEVER received any email..... now I have less than one week to scramble and come up with another costume for my son. Extremely dissatisfied and will never order from them again!!!!!!"

(Owlett and Cat boy.) at the time I ordered it said they'd ship Sept. 2nd and I got an email that they'd arrive on Sept 9. When I emailed they said it was a preorder item and it would ship Sept. 20. All future emails went unanswered. Well , when I called asking about them they said they were back ordered and they'd ship on Oct. 20. Called today, and they said they've very popular costumes so they've sold out!! That they'd call me within 24 hours to tell me when they'd be available again!!! When I asked for a refund they said theyd call me back!!! "
