"I purchase some car audio equipment from Crutchfield back in the late 1990s, and I used a catalog for that purchase. Since that time, I haven't really tinkered with car audio much. When the time came this winter to upgrade the sound in a new car, I was excited to discover that Crutchfield is still going strong. I emailed customer service with my goals for the upgrade and, even though I was not planning to make a huge order, received a very thorough and thoughtful reply from Wade in Customer Service, along with a saved cart for the items he recommended. I replied to Wade with a question, and he quickly replied with a suggestion to answer that question. I mulled the purchase over the next few weeks, and spoke with a couple other people in the customer service department with some follow-up questions. I always received timely, polite, and helpful responses.
This past Thursday night, I ordered the equipment Wade suggested. The communication about my order status was great, and my order arrived on time and very well-packaged.
All in all an excellent experience. Considering the prices were comparable to other places with horrible customer service, it will always be a no brainer for me to come back to Crutchfield. Although this time hopefully before 20 years passes.
