"Great product, straight-forward to install, does what it says. It was delivered UPS ground to CA in 4 business days - faster than I expected. Online ordering was easy, lots of product info available on the web site. I am already preferring the browser interface to the regular TV interface of my upgraded Tivo, and of course the 235-hour capacity is a huge improvement over my its original 35 (great for recording ALL those World Cup Soccer games). After some basic setup on my home network's router, and the setup of a user/password on my Tivo, I can now manage my Tivo "live" wherever I have internet access - awesome! If you have a problem you are out of luck with this crew.Product failed four times. At first they were helpful but incompetant now unhelpful and incompetant. "Added a second drive to DirecTV DVR Philips704. Ordered on Friday arrived and installed on Monday. Self installation went smooth. Drive plate was narrower than clips in DVR. I clamped the screws against the outer edges of the plate, instead of in the holes. Not really a problem."

"PTV made a success story out of what started out on the wrong foot. Because I didn't pay close attention I had some confussion and originally ordered the wrong kit (1 drive vs 2 drive). PTV's personnel were very helpful with correcting the situation. While all correspondance was via email, I had responses in a very short time. Working together we identified what had confused me when I made my original order. I then received the kit I desired, and returned the first kit for credit. Installing the kit went exactly as described in the included directions. My DirectTivo is now fully functional with increased capacity. I believe PTVUpgrade is providing a quality product, with very good support and customer service. While I initially had negative feelings on this project when I got the wrong kit (again, my error), PTV's customer service turned that around completely.
