"Aweful experience. I regret buying. Rude managers and unhelpful customer service. Delayed my order as they wish and kept me in the dark. Simply Aweful. Go buy from the store. It's not worth the discount they give on the Dell website "
"I bought a dell XPS 8940 for $3000 dollars which included an Intel i9-10900 and RTX 3070 with 16 gb (2*8 gb) of memory. After receiving the tower, I noticed that during exporting photos and videos, the fans went wild and the CPU temperatures were in excess of 100 C. I contacted their website support which recommended that I call the technical department.
Long story short I was transferred to the technical support department 4 times and each time the tech department said that this is a customer service issue and transferred me to the technical support for 5 times.
At the end I had enough and I just told the representative that I need to talk to a supervisor, the supervisor kept on trying to get me to explain the issue but after explaining the issue that the wrong CPU heatsink was on my computer for 10 times I just started shouting at them to connect me with a supervisor.
The supervisor of customer service did nothing and said that this is a technical issue again.
I was then transferred for one last time to technical support where I had to ask for a supervisor again which took 30 minutes, then he took control of my computer only to do minor driver updates and disable my Intel Turbo Boot from the boot menu.
Extremely dissatisfied and shocked at how clueless and careless they were when it came to dealing with my overheating issue.
The representatives really did not care to solve my issue and at the end my computer was worse than when I initially asked them for help. DO NOT BUY a Dell product. Their costumer service in EVERY department is absolute garbage. "
"Used the online chat to get the right part number for 65W adapter and power cord using my service tag number and model #. Given wrong part number. Received a RA 6 weeks ago and still haven't heard from them even though by tracking the package it was received. When receiving RA I was transferred to sales to order the correct part. Was told its no longer available but could show me a refurbished one. I verified 3 times that it included the power cord and was assured it did. The sales rep even confirmed by saying, the part that goes into the wall. It came and NO power cord! Then the nightmare began. Literally after 6 useless phone calls over 2 days, being argued with and continually transferred I did just what they wanted me to do.... I GAVE UP! Will never buy from them again. Just hope that I get my money back from the RA return. "
"This company is unbelievable and full of a hilarious number of defective products. the awful customer service, technical support you will ever see in your life"
"I bought a G5 "gaming" system from Dell about a year ago. Out of the box the system was locking up randomly, got in touch with their "tech" support, ran all the tests they asked and did my own research to discover that the OB memory on the GPU was faulty but instead of replacing the GPU they asked me to do more and more ridiculous tests until the point where I was so frustrated I refused to talk with them for a couple of months. Finally I had enough of it locking up and tried talking to them again and after explaining it, assuring them that the drivers were not the problem, running their tests AGAIN, sending them links and screenshots and getting so upset that I was on the edge of giving up yet again Dell finally agreed to send someone out to replace the card which to their credit the tech was there the next day. Months I had to deal with a defective computer and an even more defective Dell customer support system and not even an apology, discount or free upgrade for my troubles. When it came time to pay off the balance of the system it took me almost 2 HOURS, 3 phone calls, multiple transfers to finally find someone who could take my money. The system runs hot as hell and the fans (of which there are few and far too small to cool the system properly) are so loud that I need the volume in my headphones to be almost deafening to drown them out. Don't get a Dell, don't reward these crooks."
"This company is absolutely horrendous. My Laptop is only 2.5 years old and now requiring to change the charge port that's soldered on the motherboard. I have been dealing with Dell for 4 days this week and not to mention many hours on the phone. They don't do anything, they don't help with ordering parts, everything is proprietary. I would say Dell has the worst customer service/tech support ever out of any business. I now class Dell computers at the bottom of the barrel with Apple. My old $275 Toshiba laptop lasted longer than this and even my old HP laptop which was $350 - $400 was better. This machine is junk especially when you order Dell parts from Dell themselves and your getting messages that its no authentic. Save yourself lots off problems and frustrations and STAY AWAY from Dell."
"The customer service representatives are not in North America and the call quality was garbage
For a company that sells you a top of the line computer they are sure reluctant to upgrade it if you happen to have a hardware failure but more then willing to sell you the same piece of crap hardware to replace it and God help you of its out of warranty they couldn't care less if your not paying.for their **** customer service anymore do yourself a favour and get some to build you a better laptop or desktop for half the price and less headache ."
"When you call tech support about a problem you have.
If agent is not interested to help you he will put down phone in middle of talking to you like it got disconnected.
I had this 4 times in two weeks.
I even asked agent to pls call me back if phone gets disconnected and confirmed with her that she has my phone number , what happen is that it got disconnected and she didnt call me back.
What they can also do is to transfer you to other departments even you are zat the good department because he doesn't want to help you.
Agent are only there to make money on a sale."
"First they overcharged me by $140, then it's took me 2 calls and 1h30m to confirm return (for some reason in two installments).
It supposed to get back to me in 5 biz. days. 1Month fast forward - still no return.
Now spending time again to solve this minor issue (this time 1h and still counting...) "
"Worst customer support experience I ever had. Don't waste your money and go buy from another company. I ordered a laptop almost a month ago and so far I have no idea why on earth they didn't even ship it yet. You get no emails or status updates and good luck calling them, you will spend a minimum of 3 to 4 hours on the phone trying to get hold of any agent, then 4 or 5 transfers will follow taking another hour or two. Lastly they tell you that there are no updates yet and that they don't know why. This company is going down. Go buy from any other company. Bye Dell."
"I went online to read reviews and I was deceived by online reviews and decided to order 2 in 2 inspiron lap top 17 inch cost over 1700 canadian shipping was fast and I have received it in 7 days in total as soon as I unboxed it I realized that there was a gap between built in camera and the screen frame I returned it and I got refunded I'm a few days again I was impressed by their gaming desktops alienware r11 on the paper and I did built with my own configurations according to my desire and needs cost around 2500 canadian which is lot of money any way they were late for shipping but they gave me 200 canadian dollars credit to deter me from cancelation I accepted and waited through shipping it arrived in a huge splendid box and I was very excited to unbox it to set it up but I ended up with a big disappointment when I noticed that PC was not even turning on I called the technical support some one in India answered the phone with a clueless manner telling ,e to do all kind meaningless acts like turn it on turn it off for 50 minutes and told me to return it in the end .
Their customer service is outsourced to india, don't buy that fancy premium care bull..... t because they have no idea what is and what was going on.also watch your account sometimes they go through it more than once they did with me my bank called them and they returned the money "
"Order Monitor in April 2020 with Dell Canada and was suppose to receive in 2 weeks but delays and excuses from Dell Canada. Finally it arrived on June 23rd and the monitor was a wrong monitor. Since it took so long I thought let me try it to see if I can keep it. So over the weekend upon speaking to my wife I decided to return get 2 monitors for stand with arms.
Called Dell and they transferred to 3 different people and after 35 minutes finally got connected to customer service. I had requested for to the monitor and she came back and said it’s more than 30 days. So I asked her, how is this possible when I have 3 days to product received day. She said the date of the invoice is what they consider which was June 18th and received the monitor on June 23. After arguing with her I then said let me speak to a manager, Jo manager comes and says the same thing and there is no exception and I should have read the online policy and they can’t do anything.
I said even during COVID your company is behaving like this is unacceptable and it’s a unfair policy to rip customers off. From exceptional customer service company to lowest level of service being provided. I am truly disappointed with Dell and I must say it’s been for a while now."
"Order Placed - Apr 1
Expected Delivery date - May 11
No intimation when order didn't arrive, emailed Dell - they pushed delivery date to June 1st.
Again no intimation, order didn't arrive, emailed Dell again - got an email saying we can offer 5% discount but no new delivery date.
Called Dell on June 11th - Dell still couldn't confirm on any new delivery date.
Finally cancelled the order after such a long wait.

I ordered The Dell INSPIRON 3580 laptop on April 12 and it took three weeks to receive it. I bought this as a gift for my brother and his wife. After receiving it and having one of the Dell techs talk over the phone and do a remote they agreed to ship out another one. The problems continued. It was slow and often freezing up and there were several calls to Dell and more remotes into the laptop amd several reinstalls and it is still not anywhere near the potential a new laptop should have. Also, he was told that the 30 day Dell tech service was over on June 4th and it would cost $100.00 for every call now.
So I purchased a Dell lemon and am extremely disappointed as I have bought others laptops and desktops from Dell but I will not own another nor recommend to anyone. I will purchase from Walmart or Costco from now on. I am positive that even a refurbished laptop would be better than the Dell INSPIRON 3580
I will check with my credit card company and PayPal and see if there is any recourse. To say the least I should be able to ship it back and get a full refund.
I will be posting this same review on any website that reviews laptops for people to stay away from Dell.

"I had purchased a $400 camera for my husband, paid in full. They said they shipped the item but when the delivery date had passed I contacted them to be told “verify your identity call us”. I just dropped $400 on a bloody camera had all the correct information associated with my card there was no reason for it! Why was I not contacted to “verify” my identity? They closed the support ticket so I had to open another one. They should not have even sent the email stating it shipped.
So I had purchased the EXACT same camera from Best Buy (less expensive too!) I had recieved it within a week. I sent out an email stating I wanted a full refund for the camera and they can shove their “restocking” fee. Was told to call and “verify” my identity AGAIN. Support ticket closed AGAIN. So here we go again let’s open another support ticket.
I demanded a refund within 5 business days or the payment would be reversed with my credit card company. I also explained that they cannot take my money and refuse to ship the item.
“Verify your identity”. Holy crap.
They did not refund me so I reversed the payment.
STAY AWAY FROM DELL."
