"Found the diamonds they sold us are absolutely worthless!! Blood diamonds are worth more money and value than the crown of light they sell!! They have ruined my credit and wasted our money. Pushy salesmen and absolute ignorant creditors. I'll go bankrupt before I pay them another cent on worthless garbage!"

"I purchased a ring from DI in Juneau Alaska in May, 2023 for $4495. They used every tactic in the book. Without telling me the original price, the store manager punched his calculator and came up with that price. I made a decision to buy it and was immediately distracted while the sales lady put 3 papers in front of me and said sign here. The 3 pages were stacked upon each other with only the signature line showing. I was not offered the chance to see the paperwork and did not ask because someone else was talking to me and they seemed to be in a hurry because they were so happy for me. It wasn’t until I left the store in the sunshine with my new purchase on my finger that I noticed the ring was Rose Gold. This color does not look good on me because my skin tends toward reddish. I had to leave because it was all aboard on my ship. I thought ok I’ll return it in Skagway. They are the same company after all. They wouldn’t do it because while the first store would show sales made, the second store would have that amount taken off their sales. So I had to keep the ring. I started the “return” process immediately after I got home. They were steadfast in their refusal to take the ring back. I signed that paper explaining their return policy, after all. So now I get a store credit for $4495 to buy whatever I want, which is nothing ever again. So my grandchildren and great grandchildren will, hopefully, enjoy whatever I must choose. "
"Purchased watch 950. In Nassau. They said they set. I had to get back to ship. When I opened it not working. Next stop they put a battery and said stem broken. Scammed"
"I was in Diamonds International in St Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands) in October 2022 and picked out a Crown of Light diamond ring for $5,500. It needed to be sized up more than they were able to do, so they offered to send that ring to their Florida office and use the same stones to make a new, larger ring and mail it to me. My ring arrived, and was gorgeous! After wearing it for l just one month, the large Crown of Light center diamond fell out. I noticed a prong that was holding it was bent. I am retired and do not have an active lifestyle and have no idea how the prong got bent. I emailed them the next day and they paid for shipping for me to mail it to them. After having the ring for a week, they emailed be back and said the prong was bent and they wanted $2,500 to repair the ring and replace the missing diamond. I paid $5,500 and only had the ring for one month. I told them no and they mailed the broken ring back to me. I Googled Diamonds International and saw they have a lawsuit against them for selling defective diamond rings in which the diamond falls out a short time after it is sold. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. This is my third ring purchased through Diamonds International. I love the first two rings and wear worn them daily for years with no significant problems. The ring in question was a gorgeous ring that I instantly fell in love with and bought. I'm upset that it only lasted one month and that they are unwilling to make things right. Unfortunately, I will never purchase another item from them. "
"They quote a price and change it at check out. Research your item first. You can go to the designer website and get for 1/2 the price. They have a no return policy for a reason. Total scam. "
"I felt totally bamboozled by Diamonds International, primarily the sales manager and wife from the MSC cruiseline in October. I had expressed to the wife that I wanted a small band to go with my wedding set and didn't want to pay over $1,000. She took me to the front of the line and when we walked in there were people clapping, etc. I was handed a cup of rum punch and the sales pressure began. Again, I've never gone into a DI store on any of our cruises and I walked out having spent (and charge...ugh), literally thousands of dollars. She talked me into getting a diamond necklace and earrings and though I love my ring, this was the biggest purchasing mistake of my life. It's just not okay to take advantage of people while they are on vacation, it is their birthday and while getting them intoxicated. I would never trust them again. "

Cozumel Diamond International Stole my Ring
I'm not giving the crown of light diamond a review of one star. I would just like for someone to listen to me and maybe someone else has had this problem. Here is my story. My husband bought my crown of light ring in Grand Turk for our 22 anniversary in april my ring was absolutely beautiful. I went on a cruise to Cozumel and my husband said that I could get a band at Diamond International there. I was so excited. I went in to look at bands. I found one right away. It need to be sized and while the lady was gonna have it sized, she asked me if I wanted my ring cleaned. MY ring didn't need to be cleaned but while I was there thinking to myself it maybe a while before I'm near another Diamond International. I could not get the ring on my finger so I was thinking that maybe I was swelling from the salt water after being on the beach. So she gave me a bag to put the rings in. I was out to sea on the cruise when I tried the rings again and had to force the on. After getting back to the states I started to notice that the ring was not sparkling like my ring. After about a week I really started looking at the ring and notice something about the ring that was not showing like my ring. The store kept my ring and replaced it with a ring that was not mine and no one at Diamond Internation is listening to me. They want to resize the ring and re dip it in white gold, this ring is really old I just want my ring back not this ring that is not mine!!!!! I'm trying to get them to get this out investigate this Store in Cozumel because they are doing the customers wrong. Has anyone else had a concern like this about Diamond International?

"Went on a cruise in July and while in Amber Cove, my now fiancé wanted me to pick out a ring for a future date. He wanted me to choose something I truly loved. After hours and pressure from the sales team, we chose something. Since it was getting close to the cruise ship debarking, they rushed to set the diamond we chose. After the official engagement and sharing with all our family and friends, the diamond with its entire setting fell off and was lost while we were out shopping. We searched and searched and needless to say, someone was very happy to find it I’m sure.
We immediately took pictures and had two other jewelers and gemologists look at it very closely under magnifier. As shown in pictures below, there is rust. That’s right, rust! Gold does not rust. They proceeded to show us that the person who set the ring, while in a rush, broke off the drill bit. Instead of cleaning it out, they left it in there. The entire setting with diamond fell off. It was a botched and shoddy workmanship. We contact Diamonds International and sent pictures with the description of what happed. After going back and forth multiple times they could not work with us on a solution. We refused to send the ring back. I did not trust them one second to have this ring again. We asked if they could send a pair of diamond studs equivalent to the size diamond or even a little less. They could have offered us to go to the NYC location which is only 50 miles from us. We could have it inspected in front of us so there was no funny business. We thought either of these was fair. But nope, they wanted it sent back. They wanted to inspect it to see what went wrong. Pictures were very clear on what went wrong. The process would take months and they said they could NOT guarantee that they could do anything for us. Are you kidding me? Please be careful when shopping while on a cruise. Never again. I will stay with our two jewelers that have a great reputation, M&S in Middletown NY and ATC Jewelers in NJ. We have since upgraded the ring to a bigger diamond setting and I’m even more in love with this ring now. It was embarrassing and also made me cry, that only a few days after getting officially engaged, this happened. Carnival Cruise line will be notified and stressed to not support this huge international company. We tell everyone we speak with to stay away and I keep pictures in my phone to show everyone.

"I purchased a Crown of Light diamond ring in their Bermuda store in August 2019.
When I got back to NYC, I reached out to DI and told them i needed to have the ring appraised. They gave me the name of an independent GIA graduate gemologist. You have to understand, that you need to use an independent appraiser that is familiar with the COL specialty cut diamond. Well I did not disclose how much I paid for the ring. His specs were pretty much inline with what DI's spec sheet stated. My ring appraised for more money than what I paid. I got the appraisal done for insurance purposes."
"Over prices and not quality diamonds...Be sure to check out the internet before you buy jewelry from anyone... The internet is the best source for disclosure. Unfortunately we were on a Royal Caribbean cruise and purchased a Crown of Light bracelet with low grade diamonds.. The cost of this bracelet was cut more that half once we had it appraised. Be aware that all the stores around them all work together and will also lie to get you to buy it... I would get this company 1/8 a star if I could."
"Buyer beware, Shame on the cruise lines for endorsing diamonds international. They lie, misrepresent their product, will not explain return policy as well. They make it sound like whatever you need they’ll be there with customer service to help you in the future but just call and try to get something taken care of they won’t help they don’t care, especially when you find out you’ve overpaid for jewelry that you were guaranteed cannot be bought that cheap in the states. Buy your jewelry from a local jeweler who you trust, that’s my advice."
"Like many reviews on this site we "after being fed free rum punch" were coerced into buying a twenty four hundred dollar ring, under the pretense that it was 6 months same as cash. Store was located on Grand Turk which is one of Carnival Cruise lines destinations. Upon receiving our 1st statement payments were made on or before the due date of the 21st. EVERY TIME.
after what we thought was the last payment received notice that the last payment had to be made by the 14th ????????????????????????? as CLEARLY stated on page 3 of the bill. Therefore we were charged 10 pct. interest on an interest free purchase. Card will be returned to the company in pieces never to be used again. Fool me once shame on you. You know the rest."
" I purchase a diamond in Rotan on October 16 in the store. I was informed that the best I could get is a store credit for understand. At the time of the purchase this was not explain to me. I was told by the customer service representative they cannot help me. I am desperate at this time.
There must have been a miss understand with the process for purchasing from Diamond International. I was sure the representative on the ship said If a purchase was made I would have 50 days to return the item. But when He was contacted he stated this was not correct.
In the store I ask the manager about returns, he told me I could contact the New York office to arrange a return. I have now been told this was not correct information and returns are only online purchases.
Please review my situation and understand. My situation change drastically in the last week. No one seem to understand, if I could pay for this diamond I would
While on the Carnival Cruise Ship Glory, i was inform son cut off part of his finger with no medical insurance. I am going to have to pay the Bill.
I was also inform of a possible across the board layoff. I lost my husband last year and I have only my income. I am devastated and with no income will not be able to afford any expenses above rent and food.
My daughter tuition is messed up over $2600 due for the fall semester actually another 600 for the spring will be over $3200 for the fall and spring. She is a junior with a 3.85 gpa so I have to pay this as well. I am not sure what to do about her tuition but I will have to make arrangement or she will have to drop out of school.
I am asking you gentlemen to have sympathy for me and let me return this diamond. I have no way of paying 4500 for this diamond without a job. Until I contacted the New York office no one ever explain this no return policy. All of this happen in the last week. I am hoping you can assist me. The transaction never had a meeting of the mind as I really and truly thought I had an option to return with in 50 days of purchase.
I also have two leaking valves in my heart and the stress of the situation is more than I can handle. I am desperate to get a resolution to this situation we can both deal with. Please, Please allow me to return this diamond. I have no job and no way of paying for this Diamond with every thing on my plate. Please make an exception, I am sure exceptions can be made on a case by case basis. Please consider my circumstances. No one seems to understand the reality of my situation.

"While I was aboard the ship Elation, I took time out of my vacation to attend one of the seminars for Diamonds International. I believed that Diamonds International would be a credible company since Carnival has endorsed them and allow them to sell their jewelry at Amber Cove. Ryan the Personal Shopper on the ship was raving about Direct International, Ryan telling what great service you will get and also the great deals on the diamonds.
I was very wrong about that and which is one of the largest jewelry companies in the world scammed one of the cruisers.
For the last five years I have wanted a tennis bracelet and was very excited to finally purchase one. That excitement quickly led into major disappointment once I returned home. I purchased a white gold tennis bracelet on June 17, 2019 and paid $8,950.00 to Diamond International. When I came home to Dallas I had a very credible jewelry appraiser look at the jewelry and tell me the jewelry appraised for $4,200.00.
Raul Hernandez, the manager of the store in Amber Cove, told me it would appraisal for $13,000.00 and I am getting a great deal.
How is it that this could have happened? I hate to think that Carnival & Diamond International is endorsing, promoting, and profiting off of a scam on their cruisers. This is extremely disappointing. It has caused so much frustration and anger on my end that I don’t want to think about ever paying a penny to a company again who would treat their customers who spend their hard earned money with them this way.
Dealing with Diamonds International customer service is a nightmare, you have to keep on calling them to speak to someone and once you do she has to present your information to management. THIS IS A CALL CENTER. YOU’ RE NOT DEALING WITH THE STORE!!
I am requesting a full refund from Diamond International. An exchange is unacceptable as I don’t want to even think about dealing with Diamond International again. Since this is a company the Carnival endorsed I fully trusted in them. This matter needs to be solved promptly as I have spent enough time and aggravation dealing with this huge disappointment.
WHEN I LOOK AT THE TENNIS BRACELET, IT MAKES ME SICK IN THE STOMACH!!!!
