"I only placed an order of $7 and they asked me to send them an ID. It was the first time an online store ask me for an ID and for such a small amount. I was not comfortable sending my ID but I finally sent it to them. The agent who I was talking to didn't understand how could I have US credit card if I was a foreign person, she called that discrepancies. In the end after spending 2 hours chatting and sending sensitive document they cancelled my order. The worst experience I have had dealing with a company."

"I was referred here from an Ebay review. I've read a lot of reviews for Digi-Key. I was a little skeptical at first, because I've never heard of this website, but I found all of the parts that I needed that I couldn't find anywhere else. I was surprised to find out how incredibly cheap the cost was including shipping. I ordered my parts yesterday and have already received an email saying that everything has shipped. Usually it takes a day or two to even process orders on other websites. I will definitely purchase from here again. I will also recommend this website to anyone looking for parts!!!"

"I contacted Digi-Key via chat under the premise that I was speaking with a representative who would be capable to lend technical advise as stated on the Digi-Key site. I informed the rep that I was looking for a rocker switch for a 2HP motor 16A 125vac 10A 250vac - the Digi-Key rep suggested a switch item #CH807-ND - I ordered the switch based on the rep's "technical advise" - when the switch arrived I discovered that the switch was only rated for a 3/4HP motor. I contacted digi-key and rather that make any attempt to make things right they tried to sell me another switch wihout addressing the switch that they had missrepresented! If you find a product from digi-key keep looking for another supplier."

"Extremely complicated web-site.... they live in the past century... they asked me to send them a personal ID copy by FAX !!!!
Where I live there is NO fax for the past 2 decades !!
Their web system seems to be from the 80's decade.
On their web-site you have to have for a 12 dollar purchase:

Password
Web ID
Access ID
Customer Number
Sales Order ID
Purchase Order Number
They don't send you an Invoice once the on-line transaction is done....
They labeled the items I wanted to purchase, FOR EXPORT, and I had to fill-up a questionnaire to explain the Exporting !!!!! Although the shipping address was Plantation, Florida !!!
3 days after I purchase on-line, they sent me a letter asking for a copy of mi ID by FAX !!!!!
A total nightmare."

"The parts I ordered worked great! BUT...I paid for overnight shipping (over $30) and it took over a week to get the parts. When I called for a refund of the shipping charges they were so unhelpful. Told me I needed to get the refund from the shipping company...long story short. The refund needed to be requested by the shipper and digi-key was unwilling to help.

"The shipping on the website is wrong. The quoted shipping was 2-3 day USPS. Called when order did not show up and it's actually 3-14 days. I paid more for shipping to get it faster not more for it to take the same amount of time. Please update the shipping with the actual shipping times not exaggerated to make money. USPS shipping just sucks anyways. "
