"they're a decent company , good prices, probaly deal with them again."
"They will try to sell you an extended life battery, and quick charger. Do not buy from these crooks. You will receive the normal battery and charger. They have gotten hundreds of people with this scam!

This has been my worst on line buying experience ever, and I have been getting stuff on line for years."
"I am not going to make any judgements here only stating the facts. I placed an order for Canon G12 at a great price $389 and another $20 to ship. On 11/24 I recieved an email stating that they needed to talk to me about the order. I called and similar to other customers, they told me they had a duplicate order, tried to sell me a battery (for $80+, while the actual Canon Battery is $40) as the battery provide is a one-time 30 minute one, and asked whether I wanted the 2009 or 2010 firmware (this camara was released in 2010), I told them the 2010 firmware. At this point i was told that the total is $518, when my calculations it would be around $418. I asked him to repeat it and he confirmed $518 (389 for the camara, 20 for shipping, 50 for the firmware, 8% for something) the math never added up. I cancelled the order and am still waiting for confirmation.
When I complained about the battery, I was told that it is listed on the web site. It is not on the website.
When I complained about the firmware they said it is listed on the check out. It is not and I have a screen shot showing the total with shipping.
The Company is using a vague discription to justify this but saying the items are "packaged differently" IS NOT the same as expressly saying that you will not have a battery (even when battery pack is listed on the page) and that the firmware is NOT included. UPDATE 11/25/10: The cut and paste company response did not address any issue raised. The company advertises low prices without disclosing that you are not going to get the real product you are seeking. A camara without firmaware is a just a peice of plastic, no mention at all that you dont get firmware, no mention that the battery is junk and the one that you sell is 100% more expensive than the what Canon sells. You have misleading claims on your site and are further misrepresenting yourself here. "
"This website is a totally waste of time and energy. They offer you darn cheap prices on their camcorders and cameras but total fraud and scam. I had ordered a camcorder which came up to $376 including the $17.95 shipping charges. It clearly indicated that it inlcudes the battery. After 4 days I got a call saying that we need to verify your order. So, your total price comes to $440 including the battery and insurance. When i asked them why to charge for battery when you already say that it is included, the guy said, no it is separate and everyone has to buy the insurance. Then I canceled my order after 4 days. Please never ever try to buy from them. Total waste, fraud and scam."
"Really Bad Experience- Cancelled my order.
I ordered a camcorder which comes with Battery, This site also says that it comes with Battery Pack, but after placing order I got an email with a number and asked me to call to proceed the order. After waiting for 25 min on the call(toll number), I got some one who explained me how they sell this product with "20-Min Battery" and it would not work out of the box. They offered the Battery with high prices and when I asked them if I could cancel the order, they immidietely agreed and canceled my order before I say second word. Its totally waste of time. Please don't order from this site."
"a bunch of liars, a toal scam!
Like everyone else, I was allured by the cheap pricing of this website. Considering they have "not so bad" review rate here, which I doubt those posive reviews have been forged by the staff of this website. I decided to give it a try. I called them before hand to make sure the battery comes with the camera, a salesman with depressed voice confirmed that. But as all you can imagine, 3 days after I order, they called me.....then the sterotype old story comes again, first they ask if I dupicate the order since I made the order twice, of course I said no. Then they ask if I need the rechargable batter......I'm sure all you guys have been tired of this same story. Then STOP being deceived by them, or your own cheapness. IT's not worth it!!!"
"It is another scam. They send conformation without item description and price (first scam warning). When you call they try to sell you additional overpriced accessories. They told me that camera Nikon d5000 has non-rechargeable battery and I need to buy another one from them for big dollar. Remember: you cannot buy new Nikon d5000 less then $600. If you see the price less then that, most likely it is the scam. Look at reviews dates. Do you see my point?"
"BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! I ordered a digital camera as a gift and while inquiring about the status of the order, I was asked "if I would also like to purchase a rechargable battery for it?" i told them that I have the same camera and it came with a rechargable battery; they replied that their's comes with a "ONE-TIME USE ONLY" battery... this is certainly not disclosed in their ad regarding a Panasonic DMC-ZS5 camera....
WORST & SHADIEST company I've ever come across!!!
Their 'reply' tells you all you need to know: "They're a wholesale company, so you may NOT receive the merchandise that you believe you are ordering.... however, they DO NOT disclose in their advert what is different in their offering, than what the other websites offer.... Notice also, there is no Toll-free number :)"
"I was told that the firmware to make my canon HFS21 camcorder work costs an extra $250.00. I cancelled the order since it became cheaper to buy the camera else where. I've used many canon camcorders without upgrading firmware - I do not trust digital elect any more. If the camcorder will not work without a firmware upgrade, then the additional price increase should be on your web site. especially since you won't sell it without the additional firmware update!"
"i placed the order & i couldn't find where i can get a copy of receipt. Didn't hear from co in a few days & called to ask where order was. i asked for a copy of the receipt and he said i had to wait for the box to ship. Never received invoice. Told shipping was an additional fee. (something like $25 additional for shipping) I got mad and I asked to cancel order. Got the story... cheapest around.. not going find another cheaper one like this. Was working and needed to go. I told him to cancel order. Next thing i know order shipped. I received box with camera. Box looked like it was a used item. Box had tape all over it with missing pieces to the box. I called to tell them i cancelled the order and after waiting 30+ minutes was told that i didn't cancel order. I requested a code to return item. Gave me a bad time told me i had to wait for an email, then email them back and then wait for another email. The gentleman was rude and tried to make it my fault. I asked him how much $ would be credited and he said i got to wait for the email that will detail the amounts refunded. Its been days and i have not heard from them. Bad business practice. I wrote them tonight requesting immediate FULL refund... if i dont get the full refund i will be contacting consumer protection or contacting my credit card company and filing a dispute. In these hard times if you run a business and you want people to purchase items from you, you should take care of your customers.
11/3/10 - seller has contacted me and we have taken care of the matter. I am satisfied and am changing my rating of them to a 5. Thank you David for understanding my concerns."
"BAD EXPERIENCE - CANCELLED MY ORDER.
I had a bad experience with this reseller that caused me to cancel my order with them. I ordered a Canon T2i (body only). Their price was around $100 less than most other resellers. Two days after I ordered the camera, I started getting emails that said I needed to call them immediately about my order. I called the (toll) number several times before finally getting through to someone. They said that because my order was > $500, it had been "flagged" for confirmation. They confirmed my bill/ship address, and...that's when everything started to go to hell. They started by telling me the camera came with a "20-minute non-rechareable battery" (a lie) and told me I needed to buy a battery for it. I refused. Then they asked me "what year firmware I wanted installed, 2009 or 2010." I said, "whatever firmware is on it is fine." They told me the camera *had no firmware* and would not work out of the box (a lie). I said, that's fine, I'll install the firmware myself. They told me that's not possible. That's when I decided to cut bait and cancel my order. Fortunately they didn't give me any trouble there - they cancelled the order and no charge was placed on my credit card.
It's clear that they're using borderline-fraudulent practices and they're attempting to hook-and-ratchet every customer - just look at the reviews here. I suggest just spending the extra $100 buying from a reputable vendor in the first place. I learned my lesson, and took my business elsewhere."
"This company is completely unethical. They sent me a different camera body than I ordered after I got the "'upgrade treatment" regarding the battery. I have called them five times and finally was emailed a "Return Authorization Form". They filled out the package price as being a refund of $335.00 and my invoice has a price of $809.99. They are trying to steal money. Their contract on this form is equally unbelievable: No matter what the reason is for the return they require a 15% - 25% restocking fee. I only have five days to get a RMA # and that is only valid for 14 days. But I cannot fax to them the request for A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The fax number is incorrect. If I sign the form (with the incorrect sums for refund), it states that I lose all rights to further negotiation and agree not to pursue the matter by any means. I will NEVER EVER deal with this company or one by the name of Crazy Camera (a parent company, I guess). Also since I teach a lot of photography workshops I will insist that my students/participants never use this company. Once they have your money, they just send you whatever they have and you can "spin your wheels" forever trying get what you originally ordered and what they sent to you returned. I want to contact the Attorney General in New York for relief from this company. They are completely dishonest and should be severely punished or they will continue to pry on people over the internet. Updateof 11/29/2010 After speaking with several different men I finally got the Return Merchandise Authorization, boxed everything up and sent off with a return receipt. One of them had said that they would credit my credit card for the return after I write a new (presumably good) review of my dealings with them. I said "No" I didn't trust them after this experience and that I was a person of my word and I would write a review of how this transaction ended. Finally I received a credit to my credit card for all the money I spent less the shipping fee of $39 (so they said but I was not going to quibble).
I would say this to any prospective buyer: "If it sounds to good to be true it usually is" and if you want to save yourself a lot of aggravation just go with a retailer with a good, honorable reputation even it costs you a little more. "
"BE CAREFUL IN DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! I ordered a Canon 7d body from this company last week. They called me back to lure me buy "high power battery" because there's only a "one-time-use demo battery" there (clearly a lie). Because their price was good, I decided to give in. 15min later, I suddenly realized that the prices didn't add up correctly and I would pay much more than buying from many other vendors, I immediately called back -- I was told that there was a 9% "insurance" charge which I should have seen on their website (WHAT?!) I still tried to save the purchase and just asked them to remove the "high-power battery", they rejected and I had to cancel the order. The 9% insurance was the most ridiculous thing I have ever met!!"
"Hi,I recently ordered a digital Camera and the sales person was very helpful and polite, he answered all my questions without rushing me, I received the Camera as promised, all was in perfect condition!
I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Walter"
"Digitalelect is one of the only online stores that actually ships a product when they list it as "In Stock", not say it's available then put it on backorder later"
