I was able to purchase a system containing a 3070 video card - and it SHIPPED two days after street date.
This alone is pretty darn amazing.

But here's the embarrassing (for me) part. I forgot that the 3070 wasn't out yet (because the 3080 had already launched) -- and when my computer seemed to stall in the DS build process, I wrote in. Did they point out that I'm an idiot for not realizing they couldn't get the part yet? Nope. They apologized for the delay and gave me an extra 3 months on my warranty. Now that, my friends, is how you keep a customer. Do I really need the extra 3 months? Prolly not. Does it cost them anything? Prolly not. Did it make me feel like they actually cared about my mental health and wellbeing? Absolutely.

I mean... All in all, I would totally recommend Digital Storm. The purchase price wasn't exactly the cost of parts, but it was close enough for me given the warm fuzzies I got all along the process. (I highly recommend PCPartPicker if you're curious.) Also, I should add that at the same time we were waiting for this machine to arrive, we built another machine from scratch for a friend, and we were reminded of the terror of having a machine not post with a bunch of newegg parts. There is something really nice about having your "main" system fully supported and fully tested. There really truly is, folks. Don't @ me for saying so. ;-)

Digital Storm is a great company. Don't glob them in with the other guys.

And let's not forget that I have a 3070 card and you probably still don't because a quick check on newegg still shows them as OOS. ;-P
