"Ordered Item on March 9 2012. received item on March 16 2012 item was defective. Called for RMA asked if they had more in stock other wise I wanted a refund, was told they had more in stock so did RMA for exchange. 2 weeks, 3 phone calls, and 2 promises for call backs (which I did not get a call back)later I was told they did not have more in stock. As of today April 2 2012 this part still states it is in stock on the web site. This company is a joke. When you call you get the same female every time and you can not talk to anyone but her, she says other departments will get back with you and they don't. Buyers Beware!"
"I ordered a 160GB Hard Drive on Jan 12. It arrived and didn't work. HD Tune showed a growing number of reallocated secotrs and my HP Pavilion reocvery disks all resulted in the computer freezing up. In good faith I submitted an RMA for a replacement - to proceed with the original purchase of a hard drive that worked. Two days later, the RMA showed up and I sent the drive back in the original box it came in. When I called in a few days later to check on the status of the replacement I was told the hard drive was "packaged improperly" and had shown up in an envelope even though I sent it back in a box. They said that re-sent the defective hard drive to me.
Let's examine the logic of this reasoning:
1. we know the hard drive is defective - what brand new hard drive would have an ever increasing number of reallocated sectors. (only my word for this but why would I send back a good hard drive to wait for another good hard drive)
2. Say I believe this story about the hard drive leaving here in its original box and showing up there in an envelope. What are they worried it got damaged in shipping? See point 1 it was defective in the first place! Also they can check the serial number to see it was the exact drive they sent me!
Now I await a followup but I hope they do not continue on this unfathomably unprofessional behavior. As I told the person on the phone "You can't think this is the right way to do business - its impossible"
If they do the right thing, I'll gladly give them more stars
Never received defective hard drive that they said they sent back to me"
"I ordered a AC power adapter for a phone, I specifically provided the item description and model number, and they shipped the incorrect item, when I called to request a resolution, they advised me that I needed to complete an order, wait for the shipping return label and then I had to decide if I wanted to wait for the new item, or request a refund. This is abosuletely ridiculous, they did not even offer an apology, nor offered to ship a new item asap, while I was waiting for the return form to arrive. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND BAD COMPANY, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM"
"If there's a negative marking, I would not even give E-Tech a star. I'd give them a Splat! I ordered a GA11N Imac DVD Drive and paid an additional 12.99 for 2 Day FEDEX. I called them a week later and asked What the Heck!. They had me on hold for about 30 minutes, then got on the line and told me they were shipping the part. I asked them to refund my FEDEX expense and they said accounting will credit it back (BS). Then the package arrived via USPS a week later. I opened the box and they sent the WRONG DVD Drive! I emailed them and called with no response. I want a refund and will ship the part back but no response. Companies like this is why lots of people don't order online. Shame on E-Tech for not coming through like they falsely advertise. SHAME ON THEM!"
"I ordered a "new" hard drive from these people... I paid for fedex shipping... it came in the mail... I got a 2.5 inch ata hard drive to replace the one in my laptop. I put it in doesn't detect "check cable" that's an obvious trashed hard drive. I should have read ALL THESE REVIEWS They are ALL correct! I'm not going to return it... I've read what happens it will waste more time and money. Instead I'm doing some one else a favor by not returning it and throwing it in the trash where it belongs. Along with this company. Its time to hang it up guys. I bet there are a lot more of us disgruntled customers but they don't post reviews. I've learned that I need to start checking all reviews again on any company online. I gave it one star because it won't let me pick 0."
"E-Tech is a terrible company. I purchased a Power Supply plug replacement from them. It was sent late, was damaged on arrival and was the wrong part. When I contacted their company for assistance and an exchange they offered horrible customer service. I was told that I needed to email them for an RMA request. I did so and then was told that it was outside their 10 day window for replacements and they would do nothing to rectify the situation. They did not place their return policy on their receipt, were rude on the phone, and extremely unhelpful. Stay away from this place. Order from a reputable company with modern return policies, knowledgable sales associates, and decent customer service. "
"They are half scammer. I ordered Laptop motherboard, they sent me a defective one. I ask them to replace, but no response in a week. Then they said they can replace it but I have to pay shipping and pay another extra $200 for security deposit. who can trust them?? don't buy from them. I was so stupid.

"I ordered the HP HSTNN-LB95 battery as a Birthday gift for my sister (deceptively listed as unconventional 83Wh which you can divide by 10.8V to obtain a conventional battery capacity rating of approximately 7.7Ah -- or roughly the 7800mAh you see elsewhere). They sent me a completely different HP HSTNN-LB09 (4.4Ah) battery instead which has about 43% less capacity and can't even plug into an HP laptop that originally came with HSTNN-LB95. This is because the battery connector is in a different location and the exterior form factor is incompatible to fit. Notice E-Tech Silicon Valley's Item # "HSTNN-LB09" which conflicts with their Item Description of "HP HSTNN-LB95 Original Li-Ion Battery Pack 9Cell :: 10.8V 83Wh". Their Returns Team replied to my request for a $58 purchase price Store Credit "We apologize, but we are unable to process your request to return." This is blatant deceptive and false advertising and sales that they are further unwilling to make right after the fact! Buyer beware of E-Tech Silicon Valley scammers!"
"I'm amazed at the horrible reviews. They had my keyboard in stock for my computer. I called to confirm the problem with my Fujitsu notebook and made sure the part was going to be correct. They openly answered all my questions and were very courteous. I ordered the part and received it a few days later! The keyboard is correct and works excellent!
I spent weeks trying to find my keyboard, the ones I did find were twice the money I paid and the Techs didn't even know if it would be correct!
5 stars to E-Tech Silicon Valley for this purchase!

"Ordered a new circuit board for my TV. They sent me a used and defective board. Refused to give me a refund even after I sent it back. They said my equipment burned it out. Funny thing is the next one I bought from another company worked great. I wish I had read all these terrible reviews before I bought from them. What a POS company. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS !!!"
"Wow, I wish I had found this website before I placed my order. I have had a horrible experience with this company. I ordered a replacement keyboard on 11/8/11. I received it on 11/12/11 and immediately saw it was previously used. There were crumbs underneath the keys. I was willing at the time to let that slide but after I installed it I found out the "O" button did not work. I immediately emailed ****@**** and ****@**** to start the return process. I got a reply on 11/15/11 requesting a form be filled out so they can process that return. Again, I immediately emailed them the requested information. On 11/21/11 I finally received an "RMA number" that I need to put on the return package. They wanted me to pay for the return shipping! I called and pointed out to them that it was their faulty product that is causing me to send it back. They finally agreed to send me a shipping label. The keyboard was shipped to them on 11/23/11 and they received it on 11/28/11. On 12/1/11 I called and they said they had just received it and a replacement part would be shipped on 12/2/11. On 12/2/11 I called to verify that it was sent. Guess what? They did not have a part in stock but "they were sure that they would have one in on Monday". Unacceptable. I have now requested an immediate refund. I do not believe that will be processed in a timely fashion either so I have already spoken to my credit card company about the situation. If I haven't received a refund within 15 days of the return date my card provider will issue a charge back.
This company is terrible. I fully plan to post this review on every website I can find. Hopefully, people will stop doing business with them because they are a bunch of crooks."
"I order a laptop keyboard- they sent me a broken keyboard with water damage on the back. I sent them an email, and they said they would refund me. I sent it back to them in the mail, and they returned it to me with the words "DAMAG REJECT" written on the box, even though the keyboard already did not work. I have called and emailed many times since, no one picks up or replies to my emails. Robbed me of 40 dollars. Do NOT deal with these crooks and apparently illiterate people."
"Crooks...plain and simple. I have been calling and emailing for 3 days to return the defective laptop motherboard that they sent me. And upon closer inspection, it's definitely a used part - not the new one I purchased.
Their customer service is non-existent. Nothing, they won't pick up the phone and they won't return emails or voicemails. Buyers beware of this company."
"STAY AWAY FROM E-TECH. The negative reviews here are a fair assessment of E-Tech eShop. And their hollow apologies and empty words of "we care" are meaningless. Sure wish I had read the reviews BEFORE ordering.
We are an IT shop so obviously we have a lot of purchasing experience with vendors. This was our first order with E-Tech. Very simple, small order. Despite explicit instructions on the order to send keyboard key caps for the top row of numbers and NOT the numeric keypad, what did they send? The numeric keypad caps!
Two RMA requests were placed online. No response. After multiple calls and getting voicemail, someone finally answered. She was extremely unprofessional and sounded like a teenager. When asked about the RMA, she said "'they' are not here right now. Maybe they might be in next week and can take a look at this". What?! I have a hard time believing this is anything more than an operation run out of someone's garage.
A half dozen calls and emails later, I finally get an RMA for the keycaps. They want me to spend $5 to send back a $5 product, with their error being the cause? I think not. Then they agreed to just send the key caps I ordered to begin with.
One month and two weeks later, no response. I emailed to warn that I would do a chargeback with the credit card company and post about my experience if I did not receive a response of some kind about the status. No response. So here I am.
Obviously this has cost me much more than $5.38 to bother with but it's just the principle of the thing. What they are dishing out will eventually come back to bite them.

"This is a horrible company. Do not waste your money. We ordered a power supply and when we got it, it didn't work. They said they don't gurantee that the parts you order work. I have never been so frustrated with a company before. Aside from that, I got an e-mail confirmation that it had been shipped before it was even shipped! "
