"DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS! THEY ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS IN THE WORLD! I only gave these crooks one star because there was not an option to give them zero stars. Bought motherboard advertised on Google shopping as "NEW" and it arrived with a bent power supply connector, broken slide switch for the wireless plus dog hair and tape on the board, OBVIOUSLY NOT "NEW". Also I ordered it on a Thursday and chose Fedex Saturday delivery and paid extra but they did not even ship it until the next Tuesday. After calling to inform them they sent me a used and unusable board they took over a week for them to email me a return shipping label. After they received the motherboard back a week passed and they still had not refunded my money so I called them multiple times in a day and finally they refunded my money, who knows how long they would have dragged out the refund if I had not hounded them. In addition do not ever expect to be able to talk to anyone in charge of decision making because you never get pass the girl who answers the phone, she will put you on hold then relay your question or concern to whoever and get back on the phone with a response. They must be too afraid to deal with customers complaints themselves and send this young unqualified girl to deal with irate customers."

After a week of the order status "processing" I *called ***-***-**** - three times. Left message - no customer service available in the morning or afternoon on all occasions.
Left two messages via E Tech site - no response. Tried to log back in - Store site no longer recognizes my account. Tried to login to E Tech store site to check status - receive "The Email Address was not found in our records; please try again." message.
Contacted PayPal to initiate dispute process. Refund issued. "
"I ordered a circuit board for my Samsung lcd tv. First they sent me the wrong board. When I told them they sent the wrong order they only sent me back a rma to return it without a paid shipping label. I had to request a shipping label and they sent it to me. A couple days after I dropped it off at the post office it came back to my house saying the label wasn't funded! Now I sit here 3 weeks after I placed my order with the wrong order and on the 4th day since I sent an email telling them the shipping label was rejected. Wow, I messed up ordering from this horrible store. Please E-Tech, don't reply back with that auto message you sent to all these other posts. It's just a waste of time.
Update: Thanks to Paypal I got my damned money back. Suck it E-Tech! On top of that I was told to send back the wrong part and E-Tech actually rejected it probably thinking they're sneaky asses can screw my refund if they did but they didn't! I got my money and they're part back. Who wants a free Samsung circuit board?! "
"I ordered a DVD-RW Drive for my laptop and after 2 weeks it was still listed as pending. Thankfully, I cancelled my order today before they had a chance to ship it out. I apparently should have read the reviews on this site before ever considering.
I had left a message over the weekend, and the only response was in my order file, which I had discovered later - no email, no call. I called on Monday and had a guy answer and he immediately put me on hold - I hung up after getting tired of being on hold. I then went to the online chat (and still had to wait for a response.) When I finally got someone on chat, I got to cancel my order - I requested an email confirmation of the cancellation that I never received... I logged back into my account and looked at the order and it was recorded there at least."
"I purchased an AC adapter from E-Tech Silicon Valley along with a hard drive, they both worked perfectly. The prices where great and while they where new for the price how could they have been?
They also have repaired my laptop power jack for a lower price than anyone else in the area and its been working great for the past year!!!
Every store out there has a return policy, and if you don't follow them they won't take your item back."
"Never buy from these people. Ordered a 3.5" hard drive and they sent a 2.5". Called and emailed. No reply. Thank G-d for PayPal, which I used for payment. Am confident that without PayPal and their claim procedure I would never have gotten a refund. They never did send me prepaid return shipping labels or instructions as I requested. Have learned three valuable lessons 1). always check feedback and reviews on the seller before making a purchase, 2). ALWAYS use PayPal, and 3). NEVER BUY FROM THIS OUTFIT."

"never buy from them. parts are listed as new, but are usually used and broken. Bought a laptop fan/heatsink. Wrong part with wrong part number on it, and it had thermal compound on it, meaning it was a used product. I would never do business with them, regardless of price.

"The worst internet transaction in my life. I ordered Seagate hard drive, particular model, but received Western Digital hard drive. Same size, but not the same as I need. When I called I didn’t hear any apologizes. I cancelled transaction in my credit company and sent the item back. However they didn’t accept it because I didn’t write transaction Id on the box. I sent the hard drive back again. At the end they refused to pay shipping back. Finally I had terrible two months with a lot of calls from my credit company and a lot of pain in the neck."

"terrible website and customer service. I had to wait days after they put the charge on my card before they shipped it. I ordered a backlight for a laptop and they sent me a cracked and broken screen. The part was inside but it was also broken. Their website is terrible and filling out the return or refund form is literally impossible.

"Terrible, terrible, terrible company. Sent me a physically damaged piece of junk hard drive, then refused RMA claiming that as a data recovery professional I am trying to send the customers broken drive back. Now I'm waiting for Paypal to refund the money.
Data Recovery Companies - BEWARE - they offer Data Recovery services and will intentionally rip you off."
"In late February 2011 I ordered a Fujitsu 2.5" hard drive to replace the failed one in a 2007 HP laptop, specifying customer pickup (I live nearby). E-tech notified me by E-mail that my drive was out of stock, but they had a nearly identical model ready to go. I replied that the alternate drive was acceptable (they didn't mention that it was SATA, whereas mine was IDE; my bad for not checking the model numbers).
When I didn't hear back, I sent an E-mail query on March 4; no response. I called on March 10 and the nice lady on the phone said "somebody took it back" for some reason, and they would send me the pickup E-mail in a day or two. I called again on March 14 and the same nice lady apologized and said it would be ready in another day or two.
Meanwhile I cannibalized a drive from an older computer for my HP laptop, so I didn't follow up with E-tech. On April 6 E-tech E-mailed saying my package had been ready since February 25 but a "server error", since fixed, had prevented notification. I picked up the drive the next day.
Using an external SATA enclosure, I connected the drive to my laptop. Norton Security Suite detected and removed a virus threat (evidently it was a used drive). I reformatted the drive and have been using it as a supplemental/backup drive for over a week.
While my story has a semi-happy ending, I won't order from E-Tech again, especially after reading the other reviews here (they also have a solid "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau)."
"They took my money the next day. But after 28 day, two emails and five phone calls I never received the part. I was told they would call me back once an quickly hung up never to return the call. After about a week I called and they said they were waiting on a person called a "part puller". Who would be in in a few days. The next time I called the "part puller" was on break at 3pm pacific time. When I finally told them to just cancel my order it took them more than a week to get the funds back.
If that doesn't make the decision for you I don't know what will.
I'm never buying from them ever again."
