"Ordered power supply, it arrived DOA. I called and talked the customer rep to ask for a RMA. They said I would have to send back to check if it was a DOA. E-tech would not send Return Label, as their policy states. They said they would have to check item for DOA because they check it before shipping. I though the meaning of DOA was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. I had to send back at my cost. After they received the return they asked me if I would like a refund or another one. They said it would be on back order. I asked for a refund. They only refunded the cost of the item, not the shipping. I’ve sent E-mails asking for the shipping for both my cost of the shipping to me and the DOA shipping back. There Advanced Replacement Policy states the following.

“Advanced Replacements Policy:
An advanced replacement is done by shipping out the new part along with a FedEx Ground label for you to send the part back. We will need to temporarily charge your credit card for just the new part; no freight will be added to this. We will credit your card upon receiving the part from the original invoice back at our facility. This option is only available to DOA”
The reply I received was as follows.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your email. After carefully reviewing your file, we do not refund shipping charges as it states in our Terms and Conditions Policy. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Worst company I have ever dealt with online. I plan on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney general’s public inquiry unit.

"I am normally fearful of buying anything online, especially electronics. While E-Tech generally has a good return policy (30 days), it requires shipping the item back and typically assesses a restocking fee. I can only assume this is because of the large variety of electronics that E-Tech carries, and their inability to test all of them for quality.



Fortunately, the user-comments on a product are almost always informative and reliable: I purchased an Hard driv e with hard drive enclosure which had a good rating and nearly all positive comments, and, of course, it worked with little installation effort.



This had special shipping included, but when I added two cables to the order, the shipping costs nearly topped the cost of the cables. However, I contacted customer support and explained the absurdity of increasing shipping costs for two cables that are light and fit in the box of a product that was going to be shipped for free. He recognized the situation as something that wouldn't cost E-Tech more than a few cents, and consequently discounted the shipping after my order. This is the kind of customer service I like to see, and definitely makes me plan to visit E-Tech again in the near future.



Relatedly: The Pioneer DVD-RW (DVR-107D) drive I purchased from E-Tech over 2 years ago is still working strong.



In summary: Reasonable prices. Working products. Free shipping. I'm happy so far.

"We purchased a HDMI cable for my new Camera back in August of 2009, the HDMI stopped working in October of 2009 and I contacted E-Tech about getting a replacement HDMI. They gave me NO hassle at all! I have purchased items from Best Buy and they gave me a hard time over a coupon and almost lost a few sales from us due to them being so self centered and not being there for the customer. I was so shocked and so thrilled that E-Tech had helped me with my problem within seconds and didn't ask a million questions or give me a hard time and make me feel like I was the one who was doing something wrong. I asked what the next procedure for getting the new one was. When I asked should I do an RMA.
it was an item which priced approx. $2, was defective... a HDMI cable. UPS ground was going to be $8.13 for the return, so I emailed E-Tech to ask if we could just toss the defective item and skip the return, since it wasn't something that could be repaired.
I got a surprisingly-common sense answer of "yes, and we'll send you the replacement right away."
I was very pleased with their communication, professionalism, and attention to customer service. I was already a fan of their prices, selection, value, and excellent service "on-the-sale"... but this service-after-the-sale was refreshingly pleasant!
Way to go E-Tech - I'll continue to be a customer for a long time to come!. E-Tech was amazing and we will continue to remain loyal customers for MANY MANY years to come! They really surprised me at how they support their customers and really do seem to care. I HIGHLY recommend buying from E_tech ( I don't usually recommend many stores.. but this really appreciable.

"Stay away from this company unless you're willing to gamble. Customer service is poor, and at worst they may be a scam. They shipped me the wrong part# (invoice was correct), then told me I had to pay the return shipping and a 25% restocking fee. I refused and am awaiting a reply. I may have to call my credit card and cancel the charge. Worst experience I've had with any internet order. I'll update this review with the final result.

Update: It took several emails to convince E-tech they screwed up. I had to send them a series of irrefutable pictures proving they shipped the wrong part (wasted several hours of my time). I also disputed the charge with my credit card company. On 15 Oct they admitted their mistake via email and agreed to mail a return shipping label. I replied on 16 Oct in agreement... it's now 27 Oct, no return shipping label. I've inquired again, to the original contact and bruce.r... we'll see what they say.
So far, my original assessment still stands... stay away from this company unless you're local and can go in person to complain and resolve problems.

"This is my second ASUS board(motherboard). The first lasted me 4 years, but it was socket 939, had to upgrade. There are some mixed reviews on this board, but I'm glad I went with it. Was great from day one. Even down to the packaging. It made installation of components simple and easy until it was ready to put into the pc case. The instructions are clear and the manual is easy to understand,and i received it in 2days ,"

"i wanted an Fujitsu motherboard when i searched that in google this company popped out with other companies but after seeing the ratings i was in little bit in doubt to go for it or not but the price attracted me i called them in the morning and placed an order and i was shocked that it was delivered in the late afternoon as i live in san jose it was a very good and speedy service and the motherboard also has no problems. i am surely going to do more business with them. "I ordered a power supply for my HP computer in June for $40. Upon arrival I noticed the plug was different. It even had a different part #. It stated on their invoice that it was equivalent to the one I needed. But it isn't the one pictured on the site and not the one I ordered. It has a smaller connector.

I looked over the info on the site about returns, so I email the return department immediately. A week goes by and I recieved no return email, so I called. A woman on phone said, "you must email sales with your problem", so I did. Again no response to my email. So I call again, same woman asked for the story again and then replies that her paperwork states that the one they shipped is equivalent and if I need a different one I need to get an RMA # and then ship it back at my own cost. Per their RMA, I have to have it to them in three day or my RMA is canceled. It cost $30 to ship within 3 days from Florida. This is a load of crap since I am not the one that made the mistake in the first place. Most companies will send a paid return package for you. I refused to pay that amount and shipped it normal ground. I then called and spoke with the same woman and asked her to make the note that I sent it ground. She said she would but, it would be up to someone else whether or not they would except the RMA after three days.

I explain to her that I was very ticked off at this whole process and she replied "please don't raise your voice at me" and by the way I never raised my voice. I then ask to speak to a manager and she replied, "they are all in a meeting" I said please have one of them call me back. So I'm still waiting and very very frustrated.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with online. If they do not rectify this issue I am planning on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. This is no way for some one to do business. Will see how it goes.

"Great prices. Great Services Shipping online was insanely fast. I ENG Adaptor I.T.Power Supply I ordered mid-day and the package was on my doorstep late-afternoon. Eshop E-Tech is in Silicon Valley California, I'm in San Jose, and that was with their FREE delivery. That's typically a 2-3 busines day trip, they got it here same day. Products came properly packed, arrived in excellent condition. I'll defintely be doing business with them again."

"Ordered a PCI-e VGA card, went to install it a week or so after I got it and it had a bent bracket and smashed capacitors. Some kind of melted tape all over jack. Looked like it was stepped on. The packing and box were intact so it was that way direct from them. Too Late for RMA I was told. I suspect they are a fraud and will seek action."

"Do not recommend the merchant: it's a scam.

Power supply was advertised as new. It came without a box/manuals, scratched, missing/broken connectors.

Bruce, the manager of the support, can not answer any questions. He will try to wrap up the conversation/chat, assuring you that you will be contacted by COB.
Don't buy it: you will never be contacted.

The owner, Rezai, is in and out of the shop and can't be reached. Secretary does not know his whereabouts.

Emails are not answered.

Stay clear from the place - it's a scam (see below).

PS.: Spoke with the Credit Card and they explained how this well known scam works.
1. An item is advertised at a good price.
2. In stock they have the item "on-duty" awaited to be shipped.
That item is meant to be returned: most likely it is a non-working one. Let's call it "dummy" (for simplicity).
3. The moment they handle the item to the shipper, your order is marked as delivered, allowing them to charge your card. From CA to the East Code it takes approx 7 days. So, for 7 days they already use your money.
4. Their return process takes 6-8 weeks from the moment the dummy gets back to them. That's why they are not in a hurry to issue RMA.

Net result:
1. your money is used for approx 2 mos.
2. you wasted time, because you don't have what you ordered.
3. you have all the trouble with shipping back.

Here are further developments:
- on 6/15 an RMA was obtained. The following conditions attached: "We must receive your part within 3 business days of the RMA notification, otherwise your RMA will be canceled."
For your information, 3 day shipping to CA is $25.

- on 7/6 a notification of the refund arrived: as was expected, only the price of the item is reimbursed.

In the reply the merchant falsifies the following:
1. Item was NOT advertised "AS-IS";
2. Item claimed to be of the Corsair brand;
3. Item arrived scratched, with missing connectors, while the box was intact; that excludes damages in transit and blaming the shipper;
4. Personnel, including Bruce and the owner, Behrooz Rezai, is incompetent and rude.

Once again, this kind of scam is well known to Credit Card companies. If you fall into this trap, my advise is not to deal with the merchant, but seek an assistance of your CC provider: they will be more than happy to help you.
