"Webber Gas Grill was delivered to my house on time and in perfect shape. It was very easy to order from East Coast TV plus the price was very good."
"East Coast TVs has the best prices by far and the unit was received on time and exactly as described. The delivering truck company guys were professional and unloaded it, unpacked it and tested it to ensure it was all working properly.
It did take a bit of time on the phone to arrange the shipping with waiting and call backs in order to change the shipping address as they could not deliver it to our home (75" TV). We got in touch with Tony and he took care of everything in a very professional manner.
The shipping was within days of ordering and the TV is awesome. If you have a problem ordering anything, ask for Tony. They guy is straight up. "
"TV arrived on time and as expected, great TV and a great price!"
"Great seller, prices are awesome and the customer service is even better. I will always come back to East Coast Tv's"
"Working with the manager to rectify a problem with this order."
"Here’s my experience with East Coast TVs. I warn in advance it will be long but I think detail will assist in making a purchase decision and demonstrate that I’m a real customer.
I found and then purchased a Samsung UN65F7100 from East Coast TVs after their quoted price for a new TV, no tax, free shipping was $1,955.00 (found via Google Shopping). This same TV is available from BestBuy at the same time for $2,299.99, free delivery, 6% KY sales tax of $138 = $2437.99. I got the East Coast TVs price quote and then went to BestBuy intending to purchase via their price match policy.
BestBuy claims it will match any competitors price but in actuality they only match certain competitors and also claim to be unable to go any lower than the unilateral, minimum price. Their salesperson showed me on one of their computers that the unilateral price was also their price of $2,299.99 but then they said they would price match to HHGregg which was selling the same TV for $2,297.95. So basically the BestBuy rep straight up lied to me that he couldnt go under the unilateral price imposed by Samsung (because he would for HHGregg) and I am left to conclude BestBuy will price match only to retailers they like/are similar to themselves. He also warned if I were to go to an online retailer like East Coast TVs they would try to make me pay for shipping. Still, so long as my total price is under $2437.99 which Id be paying at BestBuy I wanted to go with an online competitor.
At my online purchase from East Coast TVs, I received a $20 discount for customer appreciation so my total was $1,935.00. I was expecting to receive a phone call because my credit card billing address differs from my shipping address as online reviewers had suggested. I did receive this call the next day and was told by the customer service rep he wouldnt try to upsell me on accessories but that for a 65 inch HD TV around $2,000, I have to get white coat delivery from a company called AM Trucking/AM Home Delivery AND I "have to" to purchase insurance. I clarified what all this entailed and the rep said it would ensure the TV is exactly as ordered by these shippers bringing it in my home, unbox the TV, plug it in, and inspect it in front of them for any possible damages/ensure it is working before the deliverymen would leave. Had there been any issue with shipping or after me signing before ensuring it works, that would be on me. A bit of a dubious claim, at least for most established retailers, but okay. I have received electronics from big retailers before, brought them home, only to find defects which involved me going back to the store and going through the time and hassle of returning/exchanging. So I think this service is worth something for an approximately $2,000 TV, probably not an additional $94.88, but the purchase from East Coast TVs was still a deal overall. The rep ensured me my total charge would now be $2049.88, and he would throw in a free 6ft 3D HDMI cable.
The shipping from East Coast TVs said it was 7-10 business days but I actually received it in 5 business days (7 total days). The deliverymen from AM Trucking were professional and did just as the service claimed. They brought the TV in, took it out of the box, we inspected it together, and they plugged it in. When it was clear the TV was in perfect condition, I signed a delivery slip confirming delivery and condition and they were on their way. I was expecting to receive the HDMI cable as well but they did not have that on them. I emailed East Coast TVs customer service and they shipped it via FedEx at no extra charge. It arrived in 5 days from when I emailed them. It was a generic "Tuff" brand HDMI cable which retails for about $10.99.
The BestBuy rep tried to act like I would not be getting the same product and/or that a smaller online retailer would upsell me on accessories or shipping. They were right to an extent on the shipping/white coat delivery but that was it. And its not like BestBuy didnt try to upsell me. They tried to get me to but a larger TV, a soundbar, a BestBuy extended warranty, and installation. The shopping experience with East Coast TVs was very good, not 100% perfect in my eyes but very close. I did not love being told I needed the special delivery but the salesman was reasonable about it and it was of some value.
In the end, price was the major issue because the product truly is the same wherever you buy (and by the way, the Samsung UN65F7100 is an absolutely outstanding TV). Its been almost a month since my credit card was charged and $2049.88 was the total price theyve billed and there have been no further communications with East Coast TVs, other than the simple request for the promised HDMI cable. For the same TV with approximately the same delivery and the 6ft 3d HDMI cable, I would have paid BestBuy $2448.98 (counting $10.99 for the cable). Just under a $400 savings going with East Coast TVs rather than Best Buy.
Highly recommended."
"Very satisfied with the company got my tv on time and in perfect condition....registered it with samsung so all is well. Will be doing business again in the near future.
Thank you East Coast. "
"Thanks East Coast, fast and hassle free service....Best prices"
"The worst service I have ever seen. I placed an order on their web site. After 4 days it was still in pending status. I called in and I was transferred to nowhere and was put on hold for over 5 minutes. Then I called again and was transferred again to a person called Steve something. No single explanation or apology... I was not happy at all and decided to cancel the order. Actually I am glad my order was in pending so that I could cancel it. "
"East Coast salesman was extremely helpful in choosing the model I got, scheduling delivery and following up after sale. Delivery was professional, clean and quickly completed"
"Great site, tv was delivered fast and exactly as described!"
"From ordering to receiving all went well im very happy. Love my new tv and I will recommend the company to others. "
"I'd been looking at this TV (Samsung UN55F8000) for months. The best price I saw at your big chain electronic stores was $2300. Around presidents day I googled the TV and up popped East Coast TV's and they were having a fantastic sale. In fact, the price was so good I had to take a look at the reviews posted for them I couldn't believe it!
After doing my research, I decided to go ahead and place the order. The day after placing my order, I got a call to give me the skinny on how their operations worked with shipping times etc etc. I decided to go ahead and take the TV direct instead of the cheaper option. No big deal, I was still getting a great deal!
The week of delivery, we were supposed to get a monster snow storm so I anticipated some delays. I got a call letting me know the exact day and time for delivery a few days prior to the delivery date. As we got closer to the delivery date, I had no doubt there would be delays as the snow storm predictions got worse and worse, yet I never received a call to reschedule.
Well, the TV we delivered exactly when they had said it would and was in perfect shape. The guys who dropped it off even offered to stay and help me unpack which I declined.
All in all, I am incredibly pleased with East Coast TV and their service. A lot of the reviews I saw were from people who clearly can't appreciate when something doesn't go exactly right. Things happen and sometimes they are unavoidable. I'm moving to NYC in a few months and will need another big screen when I do. I'm going straight to East Coast TV's. I've also told many people about the deal and service I received."
"The TV I wanted wasn't available anywhere local, and I wasn't having any luck with the big online names. So I scoured the net and found East Coast TVs. I ordered my 55" HDTV on 6 Feb - the website stated that 5 were in stock. After I placed my online order I received the confirmation email. About 30 minutes later I received a call from Steve to verify delivery address and shipping options. I was actually glad he called because he made me aware of an error I made on the delivery options, so we were able to get that resolved quickly. There was no pushy upsell, and Steve was a pleasure to talk to.
The TV was delivered about 2 1/2 weeks later - there was some delay because of the weather. The delivery guys brought the TV in, unpacked it, set it up where I asked them to, and turned it on to make sure it works. They also had me inspect it to make sure nothing was broken.
The next time a big ticket item I'm looking for isn't available locally, I'll go with these guys first. Thanks Steve!"
"Everything worked out great! I was concerned about the shipping and if I would received the product as specified living several states away. It was delivered on time and the communication was very good! Would definitely buy again!"
